The youngest in a set of triplets, Kevin Pryor is used to his brothers being the ones in the spotlight. The names on everybody’s lips. The ones people think of when they hear, “The Pryor Boys.” And though it stings at times, Kevin finds solace hiding in the wings, crafting elaborate musical numbers in his head.
But nobody prepared Kevin for what happens when someone decides to change the script at the eleventh hour.
Jameson Hart—the boy with the golden hair—does the unthinkable by wishing Kevin a happy birthday, and suddenly, all of his carefully choreographed invisibility unravels.
As their paths continue to cross over the course of one unforgettable summer, it becomes impossible for Kevin to ignore the truth any longer. He doesn’t want to be friends with the most popular boy at school. He wants to be so much more.
But in order to make that happen, Kevin will have to decide if love is worth finally taking center stage.
Notice Me, Jameson Hart is a young adult friends-to-boyfriends gay romance with a guaranteed HEA.
Christopher J. Brice has always loved reading stories and creating his own. After many years of wanting to do so, he finally took the plunge and published a story that had been brewing in his mind for over ten years.
When Christopher is not writing or reading, he’s watching a lot of television and movies, indulging in his favorite foods, and enjoying time with friends, family, and the most adorable cat known to mankind.
I received an ARC of Notice Me, Jameson Hart and couldn’t put it down, finishing it within a day. The story follows Kevin Pryor, one of the Pryor triplets, and the summer he finally steps out of his brothers’ shadows. I was expecting a simple summer romance, but the story was so much more than that. It blends romance with themes of family, identity, and self-discovery in a way that kept me hooked.
I loved almost every character in this book, which is rare, and now I find myself wanting to know what happens with them beyond the final page. The pacing was quick, the writing easy to fall into, and it had that perfect “one more chapter” pull. There’s a HEA; however, not everything is wrapped up in a neat bow, which made the ending feel authentic. If there was a sequel, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.
A beautiful, feel-good story!! I absolutely loved the idea of the main character being a triplet. It added so much to the story, and the brothers’ relationship was just adorable. At one point in the beginning, I even forgot it was a romance because I was so invested in Adam and Robbie trying to teach Kevin how to play volleyball and their dynamic 😂.
Everything about this book was heartwarming from start to finish. Jameson was, of course, wonderful, and yes, the romance was adorable, but there was so much more! There was so much you can take away from these characters❤️ family, friendship, communication, love, acceptance, bravery. How complex people really are, and how there’s always more than meets the eye.
I can’t say enough good things about this story. It was simply beautiful and easily one of my top favorites of the year. Also, the chapter titles were such a great touch! My inner theater kid was absolutely living for them!
This was a cute read. I do wish that maybe the ending was more wrapped up instead of just kind of abruptly ending. The birds and the bees talk Adam gave Kevin had me dying though.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I LOVED this book! It was so sweet and exactly the type of MM young adult romance story I've been looking for. So many moments had me laughing or kicking my feet because it was so dang cute. I want to be best friends with Kevin, because he is the perfect MMC.
I don't read a lot of single POVs but felt that this one was perfect for the story that needed to be told. Kevin is unsure if Jameson is being nice to him because of who his brothers are or if he actually has an interest in Kevin. I was on my toes just waiting to figure out which it would be and I was not disappointed.
The book was the perfect length for me. Not too long, not too short. A perfect story by an author who is truly becoming a must read author for me.
My jaw is dropped. I fear that was honestly the best book of the year right there. It was the perfect amount of sad and happy and it was just so refreshing and CUTE Kevin and Jameson for life>>> (I got this ARC in exchange for a honest review...Thank you Christopher J. Brice)
Ok, this book is just amazing. A young adult M/M romance that just hits every note perfectly.
Kevin is the youngest of triplets. His brothers, Adam & Robbie are both on the school's football team but not Kevin, he's a proud theatre nerd. But one who hides himself away in the ensemble. He tries to stay in the shadows but he always sees his life as a Boadway show, even his attraction to Jameson Hart. Could this summer be different?
Jameson decides to take a risk. He wants to be more than the guy who's good at catching the football. This summer could be his last chance.
With humour and show tunes, this book had me smiling and laughing all the way through. Even with no third act break-up, there is enough emotional impact to make you hold your breath. It shows the struggles that all young people go through as they navigate their transition from child to young adult. It lets us know that it's ok to have doubt and it happens to everyone, straight or gay, and that we sometimes need help to find the right direction.
This is a solid winner and I can't recommend it highly enough. Grab a copy when it's released.
What a perfect YA Romance book for someone in their late teens/early 20s that is maybe still uncomfortable in their own skin, just discovering their sexuality and maybe needs something they can relate to! This book does exactly that! Kevin is the quintessential awkward senior in high school, with self confidence issues, and doesn’t quite know where he belongs. His brothers are football stars at the high school and he feels like he lives in their shadow where he is comfortable. Jameson is the popular boy in school that everyone admires. The epitome of perfection and Kevin wishes that he would notice him! Could this crush be more? Could Jameson possibly like him back? This is a sweet, wholesome read! I recommend! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your ARC team!!!!! It was truly a pleasure!
I really enjoyed this book for the rawness of emotion that the author wrote with. It was so vulnerable and I feel like that allowed me to really empathize and feel for all the characters going through different challenges. There was so many fun scenes where the characters hung out or just had really big moments in hilarious settings which made me laugh and cry. I loved how it was in the summer and we see the growth in the characters, not just Kevin. I liked how we saw the characters showed their vulnerabilities with each other and then overcome some challenges all within a summer. I read this book so quickly and finished within 12-24 hours. With that, I give this book 5/5 and would for sure recommend if you like YA romance or just YA finding who you are kind of books because there are other themes and stories outside of romance.
I received an eARC of this book courtesy of the author and publisher. This was an adorable quick read. I enjoy when things get “real” on a book and they’re not tied up in a bow with a “sorry” and things go back to normal. The Pryor boys and all the other characters had real feelings and emotions. Kevin and Jameson were great together and their build up was believable. The MC being one of a set of triplets was a great little addition that added to the drama within the family. Overall this book was a great read. I am definitely going to look into other books by this author and hope others love this book as much as I do.
ARC from Love Notes PR This was such a sweet read!! Initially I wasn't sure about liking it because the scenes and the characters felt too young. But! After getting to know them better, I really found all of them to have a level of maturity that is representivie of the border between adulthood and teenage years. By the end there were some questions that I wish would have been answered; however, they were in regards to the secondary characters and I am choosing to assume that all turned out well. Even if I did not get many of the theater references, I've had a great time reading this book, Kevin and Jameson are the sweetest! 🫶🏼
Kevin is such a vibrant and loveable protagonist. His passion for musicals shines through on every page — it’s not just a hobby, it’s part of who he is, and it makes him feel so alive as a character. The Broadway references, the humour, the way he sees the world through music — it gave the story such a fun, unique energy while also showing how Kevin uses that love as both joy and comfort.
What stood out just as much, though, was the relationship between Kevin and his brothers, Adam and Robbie. Being triplets, their connection is so much deeper than the usual sibling bond, and I really enjoyed how the book showed both the teasing and the genuine love that holds them together. The highlighting of both positive and negative aspects of being part of a set, or even just being a sibling, made them feel authentic in a way a lot of authors shy away from. Their dynamic gave the story warmth and a strong sense of family, reminding me that romance isn’t the only kind of love that matters.
Of course, the romance was wonderful too. Jameson was the perfect counterbalance to Kevin’s expressive and open-hearted nature. Where Kevin brings colour and song into everything, Jameson is more guarded, more complicated — and watching Kevin slowly pull him into his world felt rewarding and authentic. Their relationship wasn’t just about attraction; it was about learning to trust and to be seen for who they really are.
Altogether, Notice Me, Jameson Hart is heartfelt, funny, and full of love in many forms: romantic, sibling, and self-acceptance. Kevin’s voice made me laugh and cheer, his brothers made me feel the strength of family, and his connection with Jameson made me swoon. A solid 4 stars — and one I’ll definitely be recommending to fellow romance readers!
Thank you to the author and LoveNotes PR for the eARC of this book. All opinions are mine.
What a wonderful book Notice Me, Jameson Hart turned out to be. It is so beautifully written, with characters that are genuine and unapologetic in who they are.
Kevin, with his beautiful inner musings is a breath of fresh air. The relationship with his brothers, Adam and Robbie, is everything you would want it to be. There are good, great, hard, heartbreaking times; but in the end it's exactly what family is like. Papa Pryor is simply a beautiful human being. I cried a number of times, because in such a short time, I felt like I knew these characters. The family and friends are easy to relate to and as a reader this makes the book all the more special.
Jameson, is the sweetest guy and I just wanted everything for him. Seeing him and how he shows his love and actions is touching. Seeing the progression of Jameson and Kevin made me smile and laugh. There is so much more to his characters than others see.
I will say that this book emotionally wrecked me, but in the best possible way. The last several chapters had my heart in knots, but by the end it was just what I needed. It is open-ended, but that is one of the things I appreciate about the book. It's an instance where fade to black is the perfect ending.
If there happens to be other books with these characters in them, I would definitely read. Though I am not typically a YA reader, this was just what you want from a YA "romance" "coming of age" book.
The youngest of the Pryor triplets, Kevin is used to being invisible—happy to let his brothers shine while he keeps his own dreams tucked away. But when Jameson Hart, the golden boy himself, unexpectedly wishes him a happy birthday, Kevin’s quiet summer takes a turn he never could’ve scripted. This book is pure YA joy—equal parts heartwarming, funny, and swoony. Kevin and Jameson’s journey from friendship to something so much more felt real and absolutely adorable. I found myself smiling, tearing up, and even laughing out loud at moments I immediately reread just to enjoy again. And can we talk about the musical theatre references?! The way Kevin drifts into his imagination, turning his life into a musical at any given moment, was completely me—I felt so seen. 🎭 This was my third ARC from this author and honestly? Their books never miss. The world needs this kind of heartfelt, uplifting queer romance right now. I devoured it, gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, and I already know I’ll be picking it up again for a reread. If you’re looking for a friends-to-boyfriends YA romance with all the feels and a guaranteed HEA—grab Notice Me, Jameson Hart ASAP! 💙 #NoticeMeJamesonHart #BookReview #YAQueerRomance #FriendsToLovers #Bookstagram #YABooks #QueerBooks #LGBTQReads #LoveIsLove #RomanceReaders #BookishJoy #BookLove #FiveStarRead #RomanceBookstagram #BookishLife #ReadersOfInstagram #MustRead #BookAddict #HeartwarmingReads #CutestCouple #BookishCommunity #YARomance #Bookstagrammer #BookRecommendation #BookishDelight
This is a sweet, coming-of-age novel that focuses heavily on the bonds of family.
What I truly loved about this book was the beautiful and authentic portrayal of the triplet relationship. Kevin's brothers, Adam and Robbie, are not just background characters; they are central to the narrative. Their protectiveness over Kevin and the heartfelt conversations they share, especially Kevin's anxiety about being separated from them after high school, were the emotional highlights of the book. The heart-to-heart with his brother Adam was particularly sweet and well-written.
However, the book's main weakness is its misleading focus. Despite the title and blurb promising a romance between Kevin and Jameson, the story often feels more like a family drama. The romance is an extremely slow burn, and we get very little interaction or development between Kevin and Jameson for a significant portion of the book. While it's cute that Jameson liked Kevin first, the lack of his perspective and their limited scenes together was disappointing.
The plot is also sidetracked by subplots, like one involving Kevin's brother Robbie having a crush, which felt unnecessary and diverted attention from the main couple I was invested in.
This is a heartfelt story about family, change, and finding your voice. If you are looking for a deep dive into sibling relationships with a side of background romance, you will enjoy this. But if you're picking it up for a focused, developing romance between Kevin and Jameson, you may find the pacing slow and the focus too scattered.
Its rare for a writer to make something as ordinary as a late night trip to the diner or a day on the lake feel magical. But Author Christopher J Brice manages to capture this feeling perfectly. Now whether it was because the shy MMC Kevin looks at his own life like a musical, or because of the feeling of experiencing summer as a teenager never goes away is yet to be determined. Before reading the book, I was worried that because it was a YA novel, the plot would be something that I could not get into. But despite the main characters being seventeen, I believe this book could be placed in the same category as adult contemporary romance novels. This is because instead of focusing on typical YA themes like social status, Brice chose to focus on themes like identity outside of family and the pressure to conform to the role placed upon you. I could relate to how Kevin managed to see everyone else in a positive light but himself. I often found myself in situations like him where I would ask : “Am I enough?”. I love how Kevin and Jameson were able to see things in each other that they could never see themselves. I admire how Brice makes the small town of Arcadia feel like a separate character. From describing the regular barbershop antics, to the busy pier on a hot summer day. My only critique is that I wished he also released an audiobook version!
This is such a sweet story! It explores everything from sibling relationships, to high school crushes, to how various people react to big life changes. It’s been a while since I read a new YA book and I forgot how good they can be. The three Pryor brothers relationships are so good. All three of them are very distinct from each other while still having the clear overlap of siblings and being triplets. I really liked the exploration into how the three of them are each dealing with the major life changes that are coming with them being seniors and anticipating going off to college. The major conflict at the end was done so well. Without spoiling, the reactions felt very real and it didn’t fall into the “you made me mad but we’re brothers so it’s fine and then everything is swept under the rug” which I very much appreciated. The relationship between Kevin and Jameson is so fun to watch grow and change. What starts as a fairly innocuous first interaction turns into so much more. There’s the clear nerves and unsure feelings that are so common at that age and time of life. I found the two of them to be very sweet. If you want to read a sweet, YA gay romance, this is for you! I absolutely loved it and it was a very quick read for me as well.
I don’t read a lot of Young Adult romance but this book has convinced me that maybe I should. This was a really wonderful read about two young men who have been hiding from their feelings for years finally embracing them. Kevin is the often overlooked youngest Pryor triplet, a theater kid who views his whole life as a musical. Jameson is the star wide receiver and just all around “Mr. Perfect” The summer before senior year starts is filled with all of these wonderful days they spend together with pivotal moments being absolutely RUINED by teammates and brothers. There were so many moments while reading this that had me kicking my legs and smiling like a mad woman about how PRECIOUS these two were. They spend the summer getting to know each other and falling for each other and every step of the way was truly incredible. I loved that all of the chapter titles were song titles from musicals. I loved the way Jameson wanted Kevin to shine bright like he deserves to and how supportive and caring he was. I loved that Kevin remained true to himself while embracing that sometimes things change and that’s okay. This was a really beautiful book and there were a lot of extremely sweet moments that brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely fantastic read.
I got this ARC in exchange for a honest review - thank you LoveNotes PR & Christopher J. Brice
Okay, this book was so much more than I was expecting! I loved how it perfectly blended romance with all the messy, real stuff like family, identity, and figuring out who you are. Following Kevin, one of the Pryor triplets, as he finally stepped out of his brothers’ shadows was just beautiful to read.
The relationships in this book—especially the hilarious and heartwarming dynamic between the three brothers—were a huge highlight for me. The writing was super easy to get into, with a fast pace and that "just one more chapter" pull that had me finishing it in a single day.
The romance between Kevin and Jameson was so adorable, full of those moments that make you laugh and kick your feet. I was on the edge of my seat just waiting to figure out if Jameson was truly interested in Kevin for him. The ending gave us a perfect happily-ever-after, but it still felt real because it didn't wrap up every single thing in a neat bow.
Honestly, I can't recommend this enough. It’s a beautiful, feel-good story and a total win if you're looking for a really well-written, emotional, and genuinely sweet M/M young adult romance.
This book promised a summer loving small town MM romance that was as sweet as ice cream, and it delivered. While this book talked about sensitive topics such as bullying, divorce, and a few others- it did so with positivity. This book allowed the characters the space to grow and take you along for the ride. I most loved the building of the relationships between the all characters. It made those special moments even more special, because you really felt it. When the characters had to look inside and choose to take that risk and the path not guaranteed for safety, it made you do the same with your own life. For me it made me reflect on my memories from my own high school senior year, and thus the memories that came after. Our next chapter is not written. We choose if we want to sum up the courage to look deep and believe in ourselves continue to grow. This was a bubble gum romance that gave you all the sweet feels, but in the end fostered some inner reflection prompting you to take a look at yourself and measure your own level of courage.
Thank you to the author for an ARC. I've been eagerly anticipating reading this book ever since it was announced.
This book has it all. Two boys falling in love. A summer setting. A small beach town. An amazing group of friends. An even more amazing set of brothers and a dad that I wish was mine.
The way this book differed from the author's adult contemporaries was nothing short of sublime. The author really took their time selling every scene with words that made me feel like I was right there in the story, not just reading about it. I felt the summer heat during the heat wave. I experienced the second-hand embarrassment when Adam was giving Kevin the birds and bees talk. I felt the hope everytime Jameson glanced Kevin's way.
For those who are on the fence about this, don't be. This was the perfect young adult mm romance to end the summer with. It had heart and humor, and I didn't want it to end. As a theater kid myself, the references were aplenty and had me smiling everytime I saw another.
First I want to thank the author and publishers for lending me an E-arc in exchange for an honest review.
This book was amazing, I could not put it down. In this YA romance, Kevin Prior is one in a set of triplets, he’s always been the odd one out. His brothers play sports.. he’s a big theater nerd. He’s always in the background, always the ensemble. Jameson Hart is the lead football player, down to earth and kind. Picture perfect golden retriever. On the Prior Brothers 18th birthday Jameson and Kev run into each other. “You’re Kevin, right? Happy birthday man” is the one sentence that starts this wild ride of pining.
This book also deals with heavy topics of change. As someone who recently graduated Senior year is a SCARY part of your life and I feel this book captures it perfectly. If you love Heartstopper, this would be a PERFECT read for you. I was living my teenage romance dream while reading this. Can’t wait to see more of this authors work!
📚 ARC Review: Notice Me, Jameson Hart by Christopher J. Brice Reading this book felt like summer in a small coastal town wrapped inside a Broadway overture—bright, hopeful, and impossible not to hum along with. Christopher J. Brice captures that universal ache of wanting to be noticed, not just seen in passing, but truly understood for who you are. The story is equal parts charming and heartfelt, with humor that sneaks up on you and tender moments that make your chest ache. It doesn’t just celebrate young love—it celebrates identity, family, friendship, and the courage it takes to finally step into your own spotlight. The writing sparkles with theater-kid energy (yes, there are plenty of musical references for the drama nerds among us 🎭), but it also slows down to deliver quiet truths about belonging and vulnerability. One of my favorite lines— ✨ “I notice everything about you, Kevin.” —sums up exactly what this book is about: that deep, soul-level recognition we all long for. If you enjoy YA romance with heart, humor, and just the right amount of drama, this is one you’ll want to add to your shelves immediately. It’s a story that leaves you smiling long after the last page, the kind of book you want to hug when you’re done.
I received an ARC of this book and it blew me away. A story of summer love between two boys who are still trying to find themselves. It reminded me a lot of my time in high school. A time of uncertainty and hope and fear. I loved how much Kevin enjoys the arts, being lost in a musical that only he can see and hear. I loved the family, Kevin's brothers, and even his dad. Most stories, the parents are background fodder, but in this one, Marcus Pryor was as much of a character as all the others. Jameson is the quintessential jock who seems so far out of Kevin's orbit but really he's closer than one might think.
I know the author said that this is a standalone but I wouldn't be upset if there are more stories to come within this universe. I definitely would be interested to see what happens with Kevin's brothers. Do they find love?
For this to be Christopher J. Brice’s first YA romance, I’m blown away. I felt like a kid again, giggling and laughing along with the characters the whole time.
Kevin and Jameson so so freaking adorably awkward. I love that Jameson is just a shy about his feeling as Kevin, if not more so. They are so stinking cute 😍
And the supporting characters are just as fantastic. I absolutely love the dynamics between the triplets, and how they each connect in their own ways. Their core friend group is so special and I love their teasing and banter.
When the brothers fight, I was as upset as they were, and I wish we got so see more of that resolution, but the story is in no way lacking without it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and highly recommend it!
What a good read! The slow burn between Kevin and Jameson was perfect! Seeing how Chris really deliberately put Jameson in areas where Kevin would be, and how he developed Jameson’s characters and his interactions with Kevin before the big “climax” scene where Kevin’s brother, Robbie finds out their big secret, were 🧑🍳’s 🤌 . I loved how Chris showed that Kevin had a lot of personality, but, at the same time creating him into an introvert when it’s the triplets’ birthday, and Kevin hides away. I really enjoyed watching Kevin’s character and self-esteem develop as Jameson finds himself trying to tell Kevin he likes him, but with each and every issue that gets in the way was a really interesting aspect to their love.

What a beautiful book! Feel good, funny and sweet.
I adored our MC's. Kevin and Jameson's connection is palpable from the start. The slow build to their relationship is tender and sweet. Even without any spice, it had impact.
Kevin's emotional growth and development is exceptional. Discovering where he fits into the world and realizing his worth.
I loved the dynamic with his brothers. Adam and Robbie were hilarious and the whole dynamic just worked. Their dad also had me in stitches. That bath tub scene was gold.
The friends group added an extra layer of interest and complexity. They were fun, supportive and everything you could want.
This was the most beautiful story! I couldn’t watch even clearly see that it wasn’t just a story being told, but an experience lived and those make some of the best stories because you never have to wonder if it’s real. You can FEEL it! The characters in this book are relatable and lovable. I felt like part of the crew. If you want a book with all the feels, a book about wanting desperately to fit in and also learning to stand out, a book that will make you smile and cry in equal measure, this is it.
Arc review 5⭐️s . I love when books make me FEEL, and I FELT a lot while reading this book. I have a soft spot in my heart for this kind of brothers’ bond and they were just too adorable. A lot of scenes lives rent free in my mind right now and I honestly can’t just pick a favorite. After reading multi-pov books for a while I appriciated a single pov, è speciale because the main character is a cutie. The desire of being someone’s first choice hit hard for me and i was so invested in this story that I couldn’t put the book down. Loved it.
This book was a sweet escape! Kevin Pryor is a triplet with brothers who he doesn't quite fit in with (but is loved thoroughly). There are many sweet moments throughout of understanding and acceptance. I like the idea of Jameson Hart being a complete opposite of kevin. Jameson is a football player while Kevin is a theatre kid. This is a YA romance and I just love the nostalgia of that first big crush. This book has romance, friendship, family love, and lots of acceptance. I thought this was a great escape and overall was a happy light hearted read.
This book will forever leave a lasting impression on me. From the way the family loves and support one another , to the friendship they create, and self-discovery/love. Kevin, one of three triplets, stands out the most. He's brother are both older, taller and play football. While he is the youngest, shortest, not fit, and is into theater. Kevin feels like he is never the main character. He's the support character in plays and life. He's always there for his family and friends. Until Jameson came along. Jameson made him feel important, loved, and noticed ❤️
