My mind is shattered.
The last several years have disappeared from my memory, gone as if they never existed.
Waking up from this coma was hard, but it's even harder when surrounded by police who are eager to strike, bombarding me with questions I don't know how to answer. The only clues I have to unlock pieces of my past are the tattoos littering my body and the ongoing trial detailing the horrendous crimes I've been accused of.
Upon my sudden release and discovery of a secret hideaway in my home, photographs of me with a stunning woman in my arms hold me captive. Her name is nowhere to be found in the photos or in my mind. All I know is that she must have been mine before everything fell apart, and the burning need to find her consumes me.
After tracking her down, things don't go as expected, and I've been left yearning for something I'm not sure I ever had. Countless unanswered questions leave me to determine who I am, and who I need to be, to keep the woman who swears she wants nothing to do with me by my side.

Bás Dorcha is a dark stalker romance about a morally reprehensible MMC
struggling with amnesia and the woman who claims not to remember him.

Karlee is a romance author who loves the unconventional, anti-hero love interests. She creates characters who are deeply flawed portrayals of trauma, the kind of character readers will be able to see themselves in and feel a little bit less alone. Of course, along side that, she lives for love stories. The dirty kind, obviously.

She lives with her husband and daughter in Arizona, soaking up the sunshine as much as possible when she's not stuck in her fantasy worlds.

I went into Bás Dorcha expecting dark stalker romance.

What I didn’t expect was to be completely undone by the idea that a man could forget you… and still recognize you anyway.

Our MMC survives being beaten and left for dead, only to wake up with a five-year gap in his memory. When he finally returns home after everything — recovery, court, the fallout — he finds a photograph of a woman hidden among his most private things.

He doesn’t know who she is.
He doesn’t remember meeting her.
But his body reacts like she belongs to him.

And I don’t know why that unsettled me the way it did — but it did.

Because it isn’t just obsession. It feels deeper than that. It’s like something in him imprinted on her in a way that trauma and memory loss couldn’t erase. Almost like his soul recognized her before his brain could catch up.

That concept? I ate it up.

He’s morally gray, calculated, and controlled — not reckless, not sloppy. His fixation feels deliberate. When he centers on her, it’s intense but not chaotic. And watching him choose her again — without understanding why — made the devotion hit harder.

And she’s not written as fragile or clueless. She’s a woman who’s learned the hard way that love is conditional. That you earn it. That it can be taken away. So being faced with someone whose devotion feels unwavering — almost instinctive — creates this emotional tension that runs under every interaction.

This is dark romance. There’s violence. There’s obsession. The praise/degradation dynamic is strong and very much intentional. The spice builds throughout — and the epilogue?

The epilogue is not playing around.

It’s a full spice chapter and I’m not exaggerating when I say I immediately went looking for my husband after finishing it. 😂🔥

The pacing dipped slightly in the middle for me, which is why it landed at 4 stars instead of 5. But the atmosphere, the slow unraveling of what happened, and the idea that some connections survive even erased memory made this one linger.

If you love dark romance with obsessive devotion, morally gray men, and recognition that feels bone-deep… this one will absolutely work for you.

Bás Dorcha by Karlee Berrios [ARC REVIEW]
★★★★★
5/5 stars
Release date: February 12th, 2026

I usually try to be clever, but all I can say is: READ THIS BOOK. IT’S SO GOOD. PLEASE.

IF YOU LIKE:
• Distinct and engaging character voices
• Second chance romance with a twist
• Amnesia and psychological trauma
• Morally grey, unrepentant characters
• Vigilanteism, violence, and vengeance
• Fear and desire feeding the spice
YOU’LL LOVE Bás Dorcha

≪ Deep down, I like that finality. I enjoy knowing that at the end of the day, if things go terribly wrong, I’m the solution. And often, the problem. ≫

HIGHLIGHTS:
• Cormac Fomori
→ Cormac is one of the most interesting characters I’ve ever read. Suffering from amnesia, he’s caught between not knowing himself anymore and being terrified of what he might find if he goes digging. His violent impulses break through his shield of fear in moments of uninhibited lucidity, but he’s never frightening to the reader, even when he terrifies himself. His fundamental philosophy—creating beauty from decay—runs through his character at every moment. He is morally grey but unflinchingly noble; a man who has accepted the darkness as a necessary part of the light, and who takes it upon himself to be that darkness so that other people can preserve their light. He is flawed and complex, and he manages to be remorseless and utterly unhaunted without being cold-hearted or cruel. He may be the best depiction of a “vigilante” I’ve ever seen
• Brigit Danaan
→ Brigit is, above all else, a professional woman—contained, controlled, consistent… but. And she THRIVES in that “but”. She’s a lawyer… but she watches underground, unsanctioned fights and gets off on the violence when it’s safe in a ring. She’s reliable, dependable, and takes her life very seriously… but she lets her curiosity and desire eclipse her fear and her “reason” when she has the opportunity to explore it all in Cormac’s hands. She’s forced herself into a boring, predictable line of work to prevent herself from repeating the mistakes of her past, but her longing for something more is building up pressure inside her, just waiting for a crack. She is strong, foolish, witty, lonely, sharp, desperate, impulsive, hungry, and repressed, all at once. I would read 1000 more pages about her.
• EVERYTHING MATTERS
→ This story is woven together with such perfect attention to detail that every single little thing matters. Every bit of character development pays off. Every plot point ties into the larger narrative. Nothing is throwaway. There is no fluff. There are no coincidences or moments of convenience; everything is tightly, deliberately, and perfectly connected. The world feeds into the characters who feed into the plot which feeds back into the world. It’s not just narrative cohesion; it’s narrative GRAVITY, narrative inevitability, narrative fundamental-law-of-attraction.
• The romance
→ The most effective part of this romance, to me, is how it’s revealed to us. We start with an amnesiac Cormac seeing a picture of Brigit and thinking that she’s perfect… and a lot of dark romance stories would stop there. Berrios doesn’t stop there; she peels back the layers of this connection, through flashbacks in Brigit’s POV and discovery in Cormac’s, until the core of the obsession is revealed in stark, beautiful clarity: compatibility. Brigit and Cormac are WILDLY compatible people. Even after years. Even when their lives have been fundamentally fractured by their choices. Even through the stalking, the trauma, and the violence. Brigit and Cormac match each other on a soul-deep, undeniable level, and we get to witness it TWICE.

≪ I’ve never believed in past lives or a greater power, but somewhere in my core, I know I would chase her across galaxies, across timelines, into every universe and life that might exist for us. I refuse to believe there’s ever been a moment in time where we haven’t been circling each other. ≫

WISHLIST:
• Amnesia
→ I wish I could forget this book… so that I could fall in love with it for the first time all over again, too.

≪ “How lucky a bastard am I that I got to fall in love with you twice?” ≫

Bas Dorcha by Karlee Berrios absolutely wrecked me in the best way possible. This dark stalker romance is gritty, intense, emotional, and deeply immersive. From the very first chapter, I was pulled into this world, and I never wanted to leave.
The darkness in this story is unapologetic, but what really impressed me was how believable everything felt. The world-building was strong without being overwhelming, and the writing made it easy to sink into the atmosphere and stay there. Every detail felt intentional.
Now let’s talk about Cormac because wow. Unhinged doesn’t even begin to cover it, and yet… he may be my new favorite book boyfriend. HIS MOUTH??? UGH. YES. PLEASE. 🖤
Cormac is such a fascinating, layered character. Suffering from amnesia, he’s trapped between the man he was (a criminal, a violent vigilante facing trial for a death sentence) and the man he’s trying desperately to become. You can feel his fear of himself, the way his violent impulses live just under his skin, constantly threatening to surface. His internal battle to be “better” is raw and heartbreaking, especially because deep down, he knows darkness is a part of him that will never fully disappear. He is so compelling because he doesn’t deny or romanticize that darkness. He accepts it. He understands what he’s capable of and chooses, again and again, to aim that brutality with intention. He’s unhinged, (duh) but there’s something deeply noble about the way he wrestles with his morality, trying to protect rather than destroy. That balance between monster and man? Chef’s kiss.
The romance was perfectly paced and deeply emotional. Amnesia tropes can be very hit or miss (and usually a miss for me), but Karlee absolutely nailed it. The trope didn’t feel gimmicky at all. Instead it enhanced the yearning and the tension between Brigit and Cormac. Their relationship developed so naturally, and the emotional payoff was so worth it.
The dual POV and flashbacks were used beautifully, showing the depth of their love, devotion, and connection in a way that felt authentic and earned. Watching their bond form past and present was both tender and devastating in the best way.
I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and genuinely could not put this book down. Bas Dorcha is dark, intense, emotional, and addicting, with complex characters that will live rent-free in my head for a long time.
If you love morally gray MMCs, dark romance with substance, and stories that make you feel everything read this book. Karlee Berrios has officially earned a permanent spot on my auto-buy list. 🖤

Thank you sooo much for the ARC! Let’s get to the review!~

Firstly, if I had a dollar for every time I read the word bunny in this novel I would have $46. Which may not be alot but I could atleast buy three to four books.

But besides that, the book was pretty enjoyable. The plot was there and the spice was tolerable for a dark romance. BUT I did enjoy the fact that the book reminded me of Lights Out. There was banter, some happy giggling moments, and the dark romance was too strong.

The writing style was alright, I enjoyed the structure from the reader unknowing what is going to happen to Cormac, our male main character, and Brigit, the female main character.

However, I want to move onto the characters. Cormac: he’s a okay character. I would have LOVED to know about his past even further, and maybe even get some flashback scenes. But the structure of his character was nice. He was strongly built, had a good banter between him and the characters, and really cares about Brigit.

Brigit was a good character too! I also would have loved to hear more about her past. She was sassy, had good strengths that were great with that sass, and just like Cormac, she loved him as well.

The side characters were good too! I liked Skyler for him Banter and…comments. Stella was a good character too, but wasn’t seen as much as brother.

Last comment to make but…the amount of nicknames Cormac has for Brigit…just crazy…

Thank you so much to the author for an ARC of this work!

As a dark romance girlie, I’ve read plenty of your run-of-the-mill stalker romances. This one, however? Knocked out of the park — so much more than a cat and mouse game. I could not put it down.

The character development we see in Bas Dorcha is truly unparalleled. Brigit “Bunny” Danaan is a regimented, organized, type A lawyer who has experienced her fair share of trauma. Cormac “foul mouth” Fomori (known serial killer) is a morally gray mead maker with a penchant for vigilante justice, suffering from amnesia. Equally broken, as their relationship develops, so too does their understanding of themselves and what they’re seeking from each other. It’s honestly beautiful to see it unfold. The secondary characters (especially but not limited to Skylar) are similarly complex.

The plot? Delicious. It kept me absolutely riveted, and it navigated a lot of tough subjects (like manipulation). Also, extra spicy but well done! My only gripe is that I still had questions at the end (I’m not exactly sure what happened resolution wise).

One specific moment - a simple exchange between Brig and Cormac - had me almost in tears:
“I’ve never had anyone that wants me as freely and relentlessly as you.”
“How lucky for me that I get to be the first to give you everything you deserve,” he mumbles.

As someone who has also struggled with feeling worthy of the love of others, Brigit made me feel so seen. Cormac may be morally gray, but he loves deeply and unapologetically, and he can read her like a BOOK. Honestly, I connected with these characters way more than I had expected and I absolutely loved this book.

🖤 BÁS DORCHA 🖤
Dark. Twisted. Unputdownable.

This is a dark stalker romantic suspense that said “sleep? never heard of her.”

Meet Brigit Danaan: hyper-organized, Type A lawyer, trauma survivor, control enthusiast (same, girl).
And Cormac Fomori: morally gray mead maker, alleged serial killer, vigilante justice enjoyer… with amnesia. Yes. On trial for murder. Yes. The people he killed were terrible. 👀

Equally broken, equally searching— as their relationship grows, so does their understanding of who they are and what they truly want from each other.

Cormac is the elite trifecta: protective, possessive, and genuinely caring. If you’re his? He will burn the world down quietly and efficiently.

I was on EDGE the entire time—did he actually commit the crimes, or was he set up? Watching him relearn his life after losing his memories was humbling, heartbreaking, and fascinating all at once.

✨ First book by this author for me and I’m officially seated for everything else they write. ✨
Proceed with caution… and maybe cancel your plans.

You jump into this story with Cormac waking up from a coma and learning that he has lost five years of his life to amnesia. As he starts digging into his past, he slowly uncovers the person he became during that missing time. The disconnect between who he was and who he is now creates a constant layer of tension in the story as he tries to understand what pushed him down that path.

Everything shifts when Cormac finds the photos of Brigit. You can feel his entire sense of purpose change. His instinct to protect her is incredibly strong, something you can feel in every word from his POV. She becomes the center of his world almost immediately, determined to learn everything he can.

From Brigit’s POV, you learn how she has never felt worthy of anyone. She lives alone, rarely engages with others, and exists quietly in the background. Watching Cormac slowly try to show her just how much he needs her in his life was incredibly powerful. Every interaction between them gradually builds her feelings, making their connection feel natural and earned.

The first part of the book moves quickly, and the story unfolds over the span of weeks, which I really enjoyed. Anything faster wouldn’t have felt believable. Stories like this are exactly why I’m able to read so many books in a month. Once it pulled me in, I didn’t want to put it down. It was intriguing, intense, and centered around a man whose obsession knows no bounds. I received this book as an ARC and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

Her rituals, her constance, everything about her feels like the calm in a world that only creates chaos.

Friends… don’t walk — RUN to preorder this. Immediately. But please, read the trigger warnings first because this book goes there… and it goes there WELL.

This book? Absolute perfection. The characters are layered and intense, the romance is obsessive in the best dark way, and the stalking element? Executed so addictively that I could not look away. I have read dark romances before, but I have never been this hooked on a stalker romance like this one.

The MMC completely wrecked me. The concept of him forgetting his soulmate because of amnesia, yet still feeling that unexplainable pull toward her? Brilliant. Utterly brilliant. Watching him recognize her soul on instinct, even when his mind couldn’t catch up, was so powerful and haunting. The tension of him circling her, drawn to her without fully understanding why, had me holding my breath through entire chapters.

The atmosphere of this book is heavy, intoxicating, and impossible to escape. Every page felt charged. Every interaction carried weight. The emotional pull was intense and all consuming. It’s dark, it’s twisted, it’s obsessive, but underneath it all there’s this undeniable thread of fate and connection that makes it impossible not to root for them.

This book didn’t just hook me — it completely undid me in the best possible way. I was addicted from the first chapter to the final page.

If you love dark stalker romance with emotional depth, soul-deep connection, and a MMC who is both terrifying and devoted? This one is IT.

I received this book as an ARC and my honest review is below.
4.5 stars overall.

This book was HIGHLY entertaining. Starting from a place of confusion with Cormac as he wakes up from his coma was excellent writing and allowed me to really get into the story slowly with our characters instead of just being dumped in the middle.
This was kind of unique for a stalking romance. While Cormac does stalk Brigit in the present day (which lets be real was SO WELL DONE), most of his stalking happened in the past, and he's kind of uncomfortable with the whole situation and I think that added a really interesting element to the book. I also loved how his muscle memory took over throughout the book at various points, highlighting that there could be no mistaking what he did in the past.
Brigit was fun, dedicated, and while she struggled with her feelings (fair girl), she didn't run from them and I'm not upset that the "I can't do this" element wasn't really in this book.
Sky is an absolutely amazing friend to Cormac and I loved his mix of "fun guy" and serious attitudes. I really hope we get a Sky romance in the future.
The mystery elements were well done and I feel like Berrios did a fantastic job of wrapping up all the loose ends from this book without making anything feel rushed.
Overall, I think this book was the perfect mixture of romance, violence, mystery and spice and I would definitely read more from this author in the future.

“Her beauty had me captivated the moment I saw her for the first time, both times. But it's her strength, her calm, her steadiness, even in the face of madness, that's something to be deified, and she's the only goddess I ever want to serve."

Cormac wakes up from a coma only to realize he has lost 5 years of his memory and he is a completely different person than he thought he was. In the mist of adjusting to the life he cannot remember, he comes across pictures of Bridgit. Deciding to lean into the darker, unfamiliar but natural feeling urges, Cormac becomes desperate to know the woman who once occupied his mind. Bridgit didn't think that one night at a charity event would change her life but it did. Now all these years later, the man that she crossed paths with once, has infiltrated her like in more than one way.

I could not put this book down and this storyline was in the forefront of my brain when I wasn't reading. Between the very clear and magnetic pull between these two, the true friend that Skylar was to the way Bridgit was determined to put space between her and Cormac... I could not get enough! Cormac Fomori needs to be protected at all costs. Against all odds this man got a second chance at so many things and really did not want to take anything for granted. This was only my second amnesia trope book but I am very quickly realizing how much I love it!

First and foremost a big thank you to the author for poviding me with an ARC copy of her book.

⭐️4,5/5
🌶️ 4/5

I’m honestly struggling to write a review because this book was so good I don’t know what I can say about it?????

The memory loss trope was a first for me and it added so much to the story. I’m a sucker for Kismet and what screams more Kismet than falling for the same person twice even if you cannot remember anything about your life? Everything immediately felt deeper because of that.

“Every universe, Bunny. Every time we meet in every universe, I’ll know you instantly and you’ll be mine, yeah?” *swoons*

I loved all these characters and the world they build for themselves, they felt like real people who each have their own unique coping mechanisms to deal with the shitty cards they were dealt.

The smut really be smutting in this book, chapter 32 THE BEGGING???? I need to know if my fellow readers are okay because HOLY DAMN!

Don’t get me wrong, while this book was very smutty it also had an amazing plot, the suspense was amazing and had me turning pages all night!

These characters had so much depth and pain and trauma and yet they were so full of life. I cannot wait to read more books of this author and i’ll be (not so) patiently waiting for Skylers short, blonde and mean as fucking hell girl to make an appearance.

Dark, Twisted, & Utterly Addictive

OMG Besties… "Bás Dorcha" had me side-eyeing E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E. 👀 Cormac wakes up after almost being beaten to death with YEARS of his life missing, police breathing down his neck, and accusations of horrific crimes hanging over him. And listen... I do NOT usually mess with amnesia tropes because my anxiety said “no ma’am.” But the mystery? The paranoia? The constant “who is lying to this man?!” had me glued to every page. Because why did NOBODY visit him for almost a year? Why was his house still trashed? Why does everyone feel… off? I was side-eyeing the entire cast like I was conducting my own investigation. 🤔

And then Brigit… whew. The chemistry is not soft. It’s possessive. It’s compulsive. It’s charged with that dangerous “I shouldn’t want you but I absolutely do” energy. Oh, and that first kiss? 🥵 Not gentle. Not sweet. It was barely controlled obsession and the kind that makes you question your own morals.

Obsessive morally grey men. DubCon/CNC tension. Markings. Exhibitionism. Power play wrapped in mystery. This wasn’t just dark romance... it was pure obsession fuel... ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR! 😉

My Ratings:  ⭐ 4.5/5  ▪︎  🥵 3.5/5

Everyone needs a little dark romance in their life (in my opinion), and this does not disappoint! I love the storyline of this book. It was different and written really well. It flows really well and I caught myself breezing through it wanting to know where it was going to go and what was going to happen next. There were some plot twists I wasn’t expecting which added an extra layer to the story. It made it so much more gripping and intriguing. The characters are complex and we get to experience their backstories throughout, giving it so much more depth. Cormac, the MMC and bad boy, wakes up in the hospital with amnesia not remembering who or what he is but gets pulled back into his old life. Brigit, the FMC, a good girl who secretly wants a bad boy in her life, but what is she willing to give up for one? You’ll have to find out! Make sure to check your triggers before reading this one. Overall, I really enjoyed this edge of your seat dark stalker romance and makes me *almost* want to get a Cormac of my own. This is the first book I’ve read of Karlee’s and I’m excited to check out more!

Thank you so incredibly much to the author for a gifted advanced reader copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review, and all thoughts are my own.

Bas Dorcha is a dark stalker romance written by Kalee Berrios. When I read that this MMC in this book is struggling with amnesia and also one of the big bads, I had to read it! What an interesting idea! I read so many stalker romances, but I love this type of twist.

The two main characters in Bas Dorcha are Brigit, a powerhouse lawyer who loves her share of partying, and Cormac, a mead-making businessman who has amnesia and no memory of his desire for justice. How does one react to waking up in a hospital with no knowledge of how he got there or why he is surrounded by police?

I enjoyed the chemistry between Brig and Cormac. The intensity between them was delicious. I loved how protective and possessive he was. Watching him fall in love with her all over again was great.

Multiple times while reading, I was second-guessing myself. Do I really trust these characters, or do they have something to hide? It was a fun read!

Thanks to Karlee Berrios for gifting me an eARC of Bas Dorcha. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is an ARC review:)

I have never been so disappointed that a book ended in my life! I had to actually force myself to slow down reading this so I could enjoy it😂 Bás Dorcha is the kind of slow burn with the most delicious tension and angst.

I was so invested in the story of Cormac and Brigit. The mystery of Cormac’s missing time and who Brigit was to him had me hooked from the very first chapter. This book is a pure example of when you know someone is your person, your body and mind will know them no matter what. Cormac fights with his new identity while trying to piece it with who he was in his missing time and finds that somethings are muscle memory even when the mind forgets. Brigit fights with herself to surrender to someone she knows is dangerous but the magnetic pull just becomes to much.

I love a book with a strong FMC who isn’t afraid to make him beg. And a unhinged MMC who isn’t afraid to get on his knees and do it😏

This book had all my favourite things

This book just broke me! Spoilerish review

This MMC has gone through so much and when he wakes from coma he remembers nothing of the last 5 years. He appears to be in a lot of trouble but he has NO clue why. As he finally is healthy enough to be released he is arrested and tried for murders he has NO clue if he committed. Once he is released and finally goes home he learns his life might be as dark as the police thought but he knows literally nothing of it. He sees a picture of a woman that he knows means something. He finds people who are a part of his life prior to the accident to tried to learn who he is.

This MMC is very hesitate to trust yet needs some of these people to relearn who he is and what he is. This woman is a part of things in his past but not in the ways he thinks. As the story progresses and you realize what is unfolding you cannot help but love this MMC and those around him. Vigilante at its finest with the best love story in the end. Total 5 star read and I look forward to reading more of these people in this world.

****ARC REVIEW****

This book… WOW. Karlee really said, “Let me make you fall in love with a serial killer.” Mission accomplished 🤣 This book is so good!

Brigit is a fierce FMC who actually has her wits about her (okay, minus the whole Cormic situation 😂). She’s strong, independent, and never afraid to speak her mind. She’s always taken care of herself but wow, it’s nice to see her finally feel protected.

Cormic is the perfect mix of protective, possessive, and caring. He will protect those he cares about no matter what. Oh & he knows exactly what he wants and will do anything to get it… do I mention he is also a stalker?!

The plot was absolutely giving. Brigit and Cormic’s story is funny, intense, and downright amazing. You’re rooting for them the entire time… and when I say he begs?! Yeah a stalker/serial killer begging!!!!!!!! Heart swoon 🤣

Make sure you read this—especially for the Feb 12 release. Karlee absolutely crushed it.

Okay so I will never not recommend a Karlee book because I love her BUT Cormac and Brigit are ✨HOT✨ and you need to read it.

He might not remember much but seeing her picture gives him enough motive to find some answers. And maybe even a bit of a push to fiiiinally go after the girl. And go after her, he does.

Stalker? Check. Serial killer? Check. Super hot possessive dirty mouthed man? Cheeeeeck.

Brigit could be losing her mind to fear but she’s learning about what she deserves and how to accept love. I love that she is so fiercely independent, but also was able to learn to accept the love and compliments from Cormac. However unconventional they might be delivered.

If you’re looking for a super hot stalker romance with an incredibly morally grey MMC, please do yourself a favour and pick up Bas Dorcha. The bat man. Boss dorka. However you choose to acknowledge him, he’ll be watching 👀

Stalker romance anyone?

I knew going into this that it was a dark stalker romance but that was really about it. Cormac and Brigit on the face it shouldn't work but Cormac really will do anything to make her his. The amnesia element was a new one for me and it added to the Suspense as they both navigate the aftermath and finding their way back to each other

Did I go in totally blind? Yes

Did I fall in love? Also yes.

So without spoiling this book I DIED if you have read karlee before … this is nothing like those other books and if your new here and this is the first thing you’ve read by her … welcome to your newest addiction.

The writing in this book HAD ME I was triggered not by the TW the mother is so like mine I was like 👀 wanted to slap her round the head.

The FMC is a badass curvy powerhouse and someone I now aspire to be. The MMC is someone I wouldn’t mind being stalked by tbh. Now I refuse to spoil the book but I may come back later and add to this review.

What I will say is did I question every damn character apart from the MMC ded right I did WHO HURT YOU my poor baby just out here doing the work of the people killing bad guys making money stalking the live of his life DOING NO HARM you deserved better baby boo 🫶🥹

Talk about a way to start a book. As soon as I started reading, I was very intrigued by Cormac's story. Who is Cormac? What secrets did his past hold? How did he end up where he was today? The most important question of them all is...Who is Brigit to Cormac?

Luckily, all of these questions are answered in this book. Some answers are revealed right away and others are slowly revealed. Just like Cormac and Brigit's relationship. Yet, when the spice hits, it hits. That scene when Brigit came to drop of paperwork for Cormac and things got steamy under the table!

While this book is all serious, laughs can be found whenever Sky is around. He and Cormac are business partners.

I really liked this newest book from Karlee. She did pull me in with Brigit and Cormac's story. I look forward to reading more books in this world.

When I tell you that this book had me literally yelling out loud “no! I can’t sleep yet! Just one more chapter!” I was torn between not wanting to put this book down but wanting to slow down reading it because I didn’t want it to end. I DM’d the author to tell her how amazing this book was when I was like 37% in. I do not do that. That’s not me. Definitely a 5⭐️ read! Hell, it’s a 10⭐️ read!
Do I have your attention??? 😂😂
Cormac is 😮‍💨 and the way this man yearns for Brigit….🤌🤌 I also adored Skylar. I honestly hope he gets his own book because he was great. Bas Dorcha has everything a dark romance person could want:

🦇Tattooed MMC
🦇DubCon
🦇Serial Killer
🦇Dark Stalker Romance
🦇Thigh Tattoo Riding 😉
🦇TBI Amnesia
🦇Organized Crime
🦇Obsessed MMC
🦇Possessive/Protective MMC

Read this!!!

I absolutely loved this book!! In the beginning I was just as confused as Cormac, but immediately invested in his and Brigit’s story.
Brigit is a lawyer with proper common sense, an interesting proclivity to violence and a backbone I love to see in FMCs. Cormac is a stalker and vigilante with amnesia and no memory of becoming the criminal he is. Being thrown back into a life he doesn’t remember.
Cormac and Brigit have an unconventional love story but absolutely everything about it was perfection!
Great the banter between the characters (I need to know Skyler’s story).
Dark romance, stalker, killer, obsessed with you but with a twist of amnesia. This is a new top read for me!
“I knew you the second we met. Every time we met” ❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This dark stalker romance with a memory-loss twist had me in a chokehold. I picked it up and basically forgot the world existed until I finished. I absolutely devoured it.

Watching Cormac and Brigit slowly circle each other and come together? Obsessed. The tension, the chemistry, the slow unraveling of everything between them — it was so good. Both characters had such strong development, and I loved seeing their layers peel back as the story unfolded.

And that ending?! I did not see it coming at all. I’m still thinking about it. I would 100% read a dozen more books set in this world with these characters — I’m not ready to let them go.

Thank you Karlee Berrios for the opportunity to review this arc.

Karlee 👏👏👏👏

I totally forgot that I even signed up to be an arc reader for you but I am so thankful I did! I absolutely loved your book!!!

You kept me on my toes wondering if Cormac really did those crimes he was accused of or if he was set up. Also watching him relearn his old life after losing his memories was so humbling!

I love that he realized he was so lucky to get to fall in love with Brigit twice. I love the growth of Brigit as well. I can understand how hard it is to accept who you are and it’s scary to be okay with things that society would judge you for.

I loved this book hands down! So grateful for the opportunity to read it! I can’t wait to see the next book!!!

Thank you to the author for the ebook as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Romance, smut, and an amazing storyline...what more could you want?!?! I've recently found the romantic suspense genre, and I really enjoy it, as I started getting bored with just romance books. this book adds an additional layer. I think I would define it as a dark romance suspense. It contains a very unique storyline, unlike any I've read before. I enjoyed the romantic relationship (minus the pet name 😉), the amnesia storyline, the thrill/suspense, and the smut scenes...though much more than vanilla, did not seem cringy to me. I would definitely consider reading more of this independent author's work!

Excuse me- this was really good. I love the premise of the book. Bad guy, woke up with amnesia, find out he’s a stalker and serial unaliver. Yes please.
Cormac was the sweetest little psycho. I loved that you could see he was still himself even though he had no memories. He woke up the same person and walked right back into his life- with a little help of course. I felt like we were learning about his past together. Brigit was a good girl that wanted some bad in her life and Cormac was just the right amount of bad. I loved her. Together, these two were perfect.
This was a good book. Nice storyline, great characters, and it wasn’t predictable. I can’t wait for more!
