Riddles Among the Roses

Rate this book
When the dead won’t stay put, it’s murder to figure out why…

Bodies are vanishing from Clover Haven’s morgue, and every disappearance comes with a riddle left behind. For florist Neeley Kelter, the mystery hits too close to home—especially when her sleuthing stirs up dangerous secrets and suspicious suspects.

Sheriff Troy McGregor wants her focused on anything but crime, but their twenty-year “almost something” has finally turned into a real relationship—and he knows better than anyone that Neeley won’t stay out of it.

With unsettling clues, old grudges, and a too-charming newcomer lurking around town, Neeley must solve the puzzle before someone ensures her name is the next one written in rhyme.

“‘Speaking of Hugo, look who just walked in,’ Billie whispered loudly. Roberta leaned in. ‘Sheriff, go tackle him, and we’ll take off his shoes!’”

If you want to know what the heck that means, you’ve got to read this book! Hugo and his bare feet do have a big role in this book. 🤣

Neeley and Troy are getting closer to not only solving the crime, but to each other’s lips. 💋 I do love a dash of romance in my mysteries, so this fits the bill.

What’s going on? Bodies are missing from the morgue and there’s even one body that vanished before it even arrived! One of the bodies may not even be a natural death, rather someone murdered the guy. Now Neeley is running around questioning people to figure it all out. But Hugo keeps getting in her way. Ugh. Don’t worry, in the end it all wraps up and every… body is found.

Know what I think I’d like to see? A series with Neeley and Harmony detective-ing. Kristi? You working on this?

So far if I’m being honest, I like the Harmony Landing series better than this one, but they are both good. I think Harmony’s is better to me because that’s the first one I read and now I’ll compare all the books to it that come after.

Well, that’s it for now.
See you in my next book thoughts review.
Time for me to put the book (Kindle) down and get some actual work done.
Next is book 5 of 7, “Lies Among the Lilies.”

Deuces to your cabooses! ✨💋✨

Riddles Among the Roses Review

Kristy T Dixon, I am loving your Clover Haven Mysteries. You seem to have a mind for Mysteries. You fooled me again. I thought I knew who the murderer was but again I was wrong. You seem to have a way of coming up with the best characters. I look forward to reading more of your mysteries.

Excellent, fun read

This is a great storyline! Funny, quirky, challenging and sweet. I can't say enough good things about the Clover Haven as well as the Harmony Landing mysteries!
