Brooke Sinclair should be worried about finishing her senior year of college. Instead, survival has become her only priority. Twenty students are already dead, each one murdered more brutally than the last. Everyone whispers about a killer hiding among them. Brooke doesn’t have to wonder—she already knows.
Seth Kincaid has been circling her for months. Watching. Protecting. Killing.
He’s obsessed. He’s possessive. And he’ll do anything to keep her safe—even if it means burning the world down around them.
What begins as fear twists into something far a love built on violence, blood, and unbreakable devotion.
B.W. Lacey writes dark romance and psychological thrillers that blur the line between love and obsession. Her stories are cinematic, brutal, and unapologetically raw where love bleeds, burns and sometimes kills.
A lifelong storyteller and teacher, Lacey brings emotional realism to her characters, weaving love, trauma, and violence into hauntingly intimate narratives. Her debut novel, All the Ways I’d Kill for You, introduced readers to Brooke and Seth, two lovers bound by darkness, and became a viral favorite among dark romance fans.
Outside of writing, Lacey fuels her creativity through travel, conventions, and horror marathons. Whether she’s exploring eerie new places or watching her favorite slashers, she’s always collecting inspiration for the next nightmare. Somewhere between plotting murder scenes and motherhood, she makes it all work.
B.W. Lacey did a great job with her debut novel, All the Ways I'd Kill for You. This is a dark romance with a serial killer MMC and a FMC with a difficult past.
She does an amazing job of weaving together the characters and their back stories while also building a world around them that pulled me into the story. I gasped. My heart was breaking and I was also falling in love all at the same time.
Brooke is a senior in college with a dark and complex past, that just wants to focus on graduating when people at her school start dying. People on campus are talking about there being a killer at the university. And what's worse, a lot of those that were killed seem to have ties to Brooke. One fun point about Brooke, shes a huge horror movie fan!
Seth is a serial killer with a complicated past who is absolutely obsessed with Brooke. He's protective and possessive, and he doesn't like to let Brooke out of his sight because he is consumed with keeping her safe, and making her his.
There were some plot twists that I definitely did not see coming and that ending!!! While we get some resolution with the story we also get one heck of a cliffhanger. I will 100% be continuing with this series because I HAVE to know what happens next.
Thank you to B.W. Lacey for allowing me to Beta read this book. I can't wait to see this book take off!!
Okay so here we go… this book is dark *check your trigger warnings* FOR SURE But if you are a lover of super dark romances with morally grey MMCs (serial unaliver) this is for you
The MMC was unhinged, obsessive and toxic in all the best ways. The FMC did annoy me at times but overall I don’t have many critiques of this book but I will update on my review of the second book!
This book is a dark romance and will keep you turning the pages…literally. The first chapter hooked me from the start! (IYKYK) 🚗😱
Each scene is worded so perfectly it’s like playing a movie in your head. It’s filled with danger, thrills and obsession so plan to end the book BEGGING for more.
✨Tropes✨ 🥷🏼 Dark & Possessive MMC 💀 Touch her & die 👀 Stalking 🔪 Knife play
Would I recommend this book to you? YES!!
Expected Release Date: 10/18/2025
Huge thanks to Author B. W. Lacey for allowing me to be on her BETA team! My review is a little bit behind but I’m so thankful I was able to be one of the firsts to read this. I can’t wait to read the revised version and get this on my bookshelf!
Dark Romance meets our favourite horror films. 👻 I'm never going to not enjoy a book with masked men.
A serial killer MMC without a paedophile in sight. Thank goodness, because I am exhausted by that trend.
This was an easy 5 stars for me. After so many repetitive dark romances, this felt genuinely refreshing while still delivering all the tropes we love.
I loved that the MMC was completely feral for the FMC. Absolutely unhinged, obsessive, and chaotic, but never violent towards her. No hands in the post etc.. and the SPICE 🔥🔥🔥
The dynamic between the brothers was one of my favourite parts of the story, her friends, even from the beginning were incredibly annoying. But overall a fantastic read. I can't wait to carry on the series.
OH and....baby? A 67 Chevy Impala. Gotta be a supernatural reference. Seth in Dean Winchesters car. Thank. You. 🫶🏻🙏🏻
This was the first book I’ve read by this author and whew… this book was honestly like watching a dark slasher film unfold while also somehow being completely addicted to the romance part of it.
Seth is absolutely unhinged in the most concerning way possible, but I couldn’t look away. The obsession, the possessiveness, the constant feeling that something bad was about to happen… it kept me locked in the whole time. And with students turning up murdered around Brooke, there was always this tension hanging over the story and I genuinely didn’t know who could be trusted.
What really kept me hooked though was B.W. Lacey’s writing style. It flowed so easily and felt really immersive without dragging the story down. Everything played out so vividly in my head that it almost felt like binge watching a dark Netflix series. I had a hard time putting this one down.
This story is on the darker side though, so I’d absolutely recommend checking trigger warnings first because the author does not hold back on the violence, obsession or psychological elements.
This won’t be for everyone because it goes pretty dark at times, but if you like books that are intense, messy, suspenseful and keeps your heart rate up the whole time…you’ll probably eat this one up like I did. And honestly? That ending definitely has me curious where this trilogy is going next. 4.5
Holy. Crap. This book was so good. I was so wrapped up in it, waiting for the other shoe to drop, anxious to see what happens.
Seth is the definition of morally black and hot as hell. Tattoos, obsessive, possessive, unhinged and unapologetic. Brooke is broken, and vulnerable in a closed off way. Their pasts shaped them and made them perfect for each other in ways you don't fully comprehend until the end of the book but you get glimpses of throughout.
Six stars spice wise. You want abandoned carnival sex? House of mirrors sex? Knife play? This book will definitely satisfy your spice needs.
The plot twists at the end are insane, I couldn't believe it and never saw it coming. If you want dark romance, unhinged characters and a whole lot of murder this is definitely the book for you.
I’m sure someone will divulge spoilers when reading reviews but that’s not my style😜 Sorry, not sorry lol. I mean by the time I got to the final chapters I’d almost put the book down, like a lot! There’s lots of blood fair warning! But it was a lot for me, but that’s killers for ya. Grand ending, shout out to the author! Mind blown🤯
Would you like to read a book that is a horror movie mixed with dark romance tropes, then this book is for you! We start out with bloodshed and we close it the same way. I loved the Scream scary movie vibes, the rational serial killer and scream queen. I look forward to continuing this series.
1.🌋 🌋 🌋 🌋 Chili peppers weren't enough. 2.This one's dark, pitch-black gore. 3.There’s stalking, secrecy (but not miscommunication or lies), super detailed on-page gore, and a brutal plot twist. 🤯 4.Clearly, the serial killer ends up being book boyfriend material, because who’s really sane anyway? (He’d burn the world for her—who doesn't fall for that?) 5.It ends in a very soft cliffhanger.
4.5 stars! ARC Review. Wow. Just WOW. If you like the Touch her and die trope, this will 100% fill that craving. Unhinged, obsessive/possessive, tattooed, a little psychotic MMC? Check, and I’m all for him! Dark/gothy, horror loving, been through some trauma but still strong FMC, check! Side characters that are worth hearing about? Also check! And the smut be smutting 😏 twists that made me go 😱 loved this book!
This is just my vibes/feelings, you can read the blurb if you want to know what it's about. By 20% in, I made a plan on where the physical copy will go on my shelves. (It's going to take the spot from Bad Bishop). By 50% I was ready to quit my job so I didn't have to stop reading. By the end, I was staring at the wall, feeling ALL the feelings. This book, at it's core, is about mental health (without it being it's whole personality) and how you can come out on the other side of darkness. This MMC would burn the EARTH for the FMC, and she would do the same. *** THERE IS NO VIOLENCE BETWEEN THE MCs***
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 Star Review — All the Ways I’d Kill for You by B.W. Lacey If you give me a tattooed, alternative, horror-movie-loving FMC, I’m already interested… but B.W. Lacey didn’t stop there. Add in a serial unaliving, organ-harvesting MMC who dishes out justice with serious Dexter vibes, an unhinged and completely unpredictable brother who keeps the tension sky-high, and a best friend whose dad just happens to be the chief of police—and suddenly you’ve got chaos in the absolute best way. This book had me hooked from the start. The dynamic between the characters was addictive, the darker elements were handled in a way that made the story feel gritty and intense, and the constant sense that everything could explode at any moment kept the pages flying. The FMC’s alternative, horror-loving personality gave the story such a fun edge, and the morally gray MMC? Let’s just say if you love a man who walks the line between justice and danger, you’re going to eat this up. And the spice? Absolutely unbelievable. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Every scene hit exactly the way it needed to—hot, intense, and perfectly placed within the story. Overall, this book was dark, chaotic, addictive, and completely unforgettable. It gave me morally gray romance, twisted tension, and spice that delivered. What have you done to me with this book? Because it was everything—and then some. 🔥📚
ARC read. Wow! This book! From the very beginning it was intense! Reading the first chapter made my heart race.
The MMC Seth is very obsessive, dark, broody and possessive and protective. His dark past haunts him and makes him who he is, but he hates it. He makes you question him so many times, but his devotion is real. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for the girl he loves, and he proves that.
FMC Brooke is shy for a reason. After watching her parents be brutally killed as she hid and stayed silent, while she was a young child, and found a way to survive.
This book needs to be a movie. It’s everything you want in a physiological thriller slasher flick romance. The author paints the scenes in vivid detail so you visualize every step throughout the book. The spicy scenes are intense and incredibly detailed too.
If you love the following, you will love this book: Dark romance Psychological thriller Spicy🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Heart racing scenes
O M G! This book was so much more than I expected. I gave it 5 stars because it constantly had me on the edge of my seat and the twists and turns I didn't see coming. I had good guesses but it had me wondering till the end who were actually the good guys. Still not 100% sure.
The chemistry between Seth and Brooke was sizzing. 5 chili peppers for sure. I will say tho, this book is dark. Like bordering on Pitch Black so check your TW's. And if you are squeamish about blood and gore this is probably not for you. But if you are like me and my friend Jessica who live for it than YES. A 1000 times yes. This book is a must read.
I found myself laughing, crying, panting, cringing, and a few times a little gagging and not for the good reasons! No Seth at my house lol.
The story is tragic in all the ways. She is a thick ole gal (the book) but I couldn't put it down. The ending was a little WTFish, but there is a 2nd book in the works so I will definitely being buddy reading that with Jessica.
All The Ways I’d Kill For You is a dark romance in the truest sense. Honestly, it felt pitch black. Please, please read the trigger warnings before diving in.
This book was graphic, dark, obsessive, uncomfortable, and somehow absolutely amazing. I felt every possible WTF emotion while reading. The author’s writing is incredibly descriptive and well-crafted, delivering gore and intensity that will make you question if you’re the unhinged one for loving it.
Seth and Brooke are the strangest couple… and yet, they fit perfectly. She feels almost normal just wrapped in black, while he is straight up dark and murdery. Their darkness exists on different levels, but together? They’re exactly what the story needs.
The ending leaves you curious rather than frustrated. A cliffhanger, but not a brutal one. I’m genuinely intrigued to see how book two follows everything that unfolded.
Holy Moly YES. I was hooked from the beginnings of this book. The writing was SO good. It honestly felt like i was watching a movie but in written form. I love the characters Brooke and Seth, Like yeah okay he’s a serial killer but, he kills the bad guys and anyone that wrongs Brooke in any way. And Brooke, damaged and broken who wants to stay hidden and out of the light, Seth see’s her i mean really sees her and dark calls to dark. I loved it. I mean it may not be the healthiest relationship but honestly it was good for them, they didnt have to hide from one another. THE PLOT TWIST, yeah I wouldn’t have seen that one coming. That was WILD!!! And i cannot wait to start the second book. I wish i could properly put into words how much i loved this book, but my god. I loved this book so so so so so so much..
So my initial responses to this book was “I don’t know what’s wrong with this author, BUT I LOVE IT!”.
This book was an experience. It is a deliciously twisted blend of Haunting Adeline meets Scream, and I could not get enough. The tension, the darkness, the chemistry… it all had me absolutely hooked from page one.
And that deserted carnival scene? 🔥🔥🔥 Equal parts haunting, seductive, and heart-pounding—I had to stop and take a breath after that one.
The pacing was flawless, the characters were perfectly unhinged in the best way, and the writing pulled me so deep into their chaos I forgot where I was.
If you love dark romance with danger, obsession, (gore), and heat that burns off the page, this one’s your next addiction.
5⭐️ 5🌶️ This book is for all the slasher fan girlies. This book had me in a ch0kehold from the very beginning. It’s starts off with a bang. I couldn’t not get enough of it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. And that plot twist I did not see that coming. Seth that man had me swooning throughout the entire book. I was here for every unhinged moment. HE can do no wrong in my eyes. And I absolutely loved Brooke. She was such a fierce FMC. The connection between these two was chefs kiss. And that cliffhanger. I need book 2 like I need my next breath. This book is definitely a must read if you love possessive and obsessive book boyfriends who would burn the world for you. 5stars doesn’t even begin to describe how truly amazing this book was!!
This book is exactly why we all end up falling for the villain.
The world-building, tension, and character dynamics had me hooked from the start, but it was the emotional depth that really made this one stand out. The author perfectly captures that line between right and wrong, showing that sometimes the “hero” isn’t as easy to root for as we’re taught.
There’s a reason we fall for the villain instead of the hero. The hero would risk anyone to save the world. The villain would risk everything to save his world. And honestly? That’s what makes him impossible not to love.
Dark, addictive, emotional, and full of moments that had me completely invested. I couldn’t put it down and I’m still thinking about these characters long after finishing the last page.
Where do I even start?!? I got to beta read this and let’s just say the book lives up to the title.Who doesn’t love a hot gothic serial unaliver who is a tattoo artist?? Both MCs have a traumatic past. There are lots of twists and turns. The MMC’s brother is unhinged af. The plot twist/reveal at the end took me by surprise!! I ate this up!! It is on the thicker side. The spice scenes in this are chef’s kiss. The k!ll scenes are so well described you can almost see them. While this doesn’t end on a cliffhanger the ending will have you guessing and wanting to know more. I cannot wait for the next book. A huge shout out and thank you to the author for letting me beta read this.
This book was everything I didn’t think I needed in a story. . The prologue was something straight out of a thrasher horror movie. The main fmc was broken but not weak. the main mmc was deliciously obsessive, possessive burn the world down for you crazy and I loved every minute of it. The book was dark, psychotic, bloody and spicy as hell. This is book one of this series. Definitely worth the read.
Wow. Just wow. A passionate, scary plot twisting ride that never let you put your guard down! Impeccable writing that left you hanging on to every word and just when you think you knew what to expect...BAM...a plot twist you never saw coming! Annnnnd sex! Oh, you must like sex 🤣. But even without that, it was a book that left me rushing through the smut to get back to the plot! #RIP to everyone we lost! #RIHell to the opps!
This one was such a fun read — total Scream meets slasher-movie energy! The last 10% had my heart RACING The twist had me saying YOU ARE LYING TO ME out loud and the cliffhanger had me gasping, I’m already adding book two to my TBR.
The way this book had me on my damn tip toes and curling. It should be illegal! And the PLOT TWISTS I DIDNT EXPECT!!! Lorddddd haven’t had a book do this to me in a second. Miss Lacey idk what you were on during writing this out sheesh if I smoked I’d burned a whole carton by the end of reading it.
I liked how Seth was ott/jp. They had some hot scenes between them. There are some twists at the end. Got annoyed with the warnings and chances he kept giving Luke. Hated what happened at Amber's house and after it. At the 90 ish % mark I wasn't loving where it went. Things turned and and then we had the obligatory smex while injured/stitches scene. I like these 2 but I would be fine to read Coles notes/summary highlights of the next book.
omggggg this book so much spice its so dark my fav immobsessed with the mmc seth i loved how this book had some thriller in it i ate this book up the ending of this book was wild but also a little confusing i guess i have to read book 2 to ser whats next cant wait
I CANNOT get enough of this book!! From page one I was hooked! If you like “who done it”, Scream vibes, alpha MMC and a strong MFC you need to read this book!! I won’t even get into the twist and turns, the holy cow moments. And the spice!!!!!!! 🔥
