B.W. Lacey did a great job with her debut novel, All the Ways I'd Kill for You. This is a dark romance with a serial killer MMC and a FMC with a difficult past.
She does an amazing job of weaving together the characters and their back stories while also building a world around them that pulled me into the story. I gasped. My heart was breaking and I was also falling in love all at the same time.
Brooke is a senior in college with a dark and complex past, that just wants to focus on graduating when people at her school start dying. People on campus are talking about there being a killer at the university. And what's worse, a lot of those that were killed seem to have ties to Brooke. One fun point about Brooke, shes a huge horror movie fan!
Seth is a serial killer with a complicated past who is absolutely obsessed with Brooke. He's protective and possessive, and he doesn't like to let Brooke out of his sight because he is consumed with keeping her safe, and making her his.
There were some plot twists that I definitely did not see coming and that ending!!! While we get some resolution with the story we also get one heck of a cliffhanger. I will 100% be continuing with this series because I HAVE to know what happens next.

4.5 stars! ARC Review. Wow. Just WOW. If you like the Touch her and die trope, this will 100% fill that craving. Unhinged, obsessive/possessive, tattooed, a little psychotic MMC? Check, and I’m all for him! Dark/gothy, horror loving, been through some trauma but still strong FMC, check! Side characters that are worth hearing about? Also check! And the smut be smutting 😏 twists that made me go 😱 loved this book!

From the very beginning it was intense! Reading the first chapter made my heart race.
The MMC Seth is very obsessive, dark, broody and possessive and protective. His dark past haunts him and makes him who he is, but he hates it. He makes you question him so many times, but his devotion is real. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for the girl he loves, and he proves that.
FMC Brooke is shy for a reason. After watching her parents be brutally killed as she hid and stayed silent, while she was a young child, and found a way to survive.
This book needs to be a movie. It’s everything you want in a physiological thriller slasher flick romance. The author paints the scenes in vivid detail so you visualize every step throughout the book. The spicy scenes are intense and incredibly detailed too.

O M G! This book was so much more than I expected. I gave it 5 stars because it constantly had me on the edge of my seat and the twists and turns I didn't see coming. I had good guesses but it had me wondering till the end who were actually the good guys. Still not 100% sure.
The chemistry between Seth and Brooke was sizzing. 5 chili peppers for sure. I will say tho, this book is dark. Like bordering on Pitch Black so check your TW's. And if you are squeamish about blood and gore this is probably not for you. But if you are like me and my friend Jessica who live for it than YES. A 1000 times yes. This book is a must read.

All The Ways I’d Kill For You is a dark romance in the truest sense. Honestly, it felt pitch black. Please, please read the trigger warnings before diving in.
This book was graphic, dark, obsessive, uncomfortable, and somehow absolutely amazing. I felt every possible WTF emotion while reading. The author’s writing is incredibly descriptive and well-crafted, delivering gore and intensity that will make you question if you’re the unhinged one for loving it.
Seth and Brooke are the strangest couple… and yet, they fit perfectly. She feels almost normal just wrapped in black, while he is straight up dark and murdery. Their darkness exists on different levels, but together? They’re exactly what the story needs.
The ending leaves you curious rather than frustrated. A cliffhanger, but not a brutal one. I’m genuinely intrigued to see how book two follows everything that unfolded.

So my initial responses to this book was “I don’t know what’s wrong with this author, BUT I LOVE IT!”.
This book was an experience. It is a deliciously twisted blend of Haunting Adeline meets Scream, and I could not get enough. The tension, the darkness, the chemistry… it all had me absolutely hooked from page one.
And that deserted carnival scene? 🔥🔥🔥
Equal parts haunting, seductive, and heart-pounding—I had to stop and take a breath after that one.
The pacing was flawless, the characters were perfectly unhinged in the best way, and the writing pulled me so deep into their chaos I forgot where I was.
If you love dark romance with danger, obsession, (gore), and heat that burns off the page, this one’s your next addiction.
Now I DESPERATELY need book two!

This book is for all the slasher fan girlies. This book had me in a ch0kehold from the very beginning. It’s starts off with a bang. I couldn’t not get enough of it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. And that plot twist I did not see that coming. Seth that man had me swooning throughout the entire book. I was here for every unhinged moment. HE can do no wrong in my eyes. And I absolutely loved Brooke. She was such a fierce FMC. The connection between these two was chefs kiss. And that cliffhanger. I need book 2 like I need my next breath. Where do I even start?!? I got to beta read this and let’s just say the book lives up to the title.Who doesn’t love a hot gothic serial unaliver who is a tattoo artist?? Both MCs have a traumatic past. There are lots of twists and turns. The MMC’s brother is unhinged af. The plot twist/reveal at the end took me by surprise!! I ate this up!! It is on the thicker side. The spice scenes in this are chef’s kiss. The k!ll scenes are so well described you can almost see them. While this doesn’t end on a cliffhanger the ending will have you guessing and wanting to know more. I cannot wait for the next book. A huge shout out and thank you to the author for letting me beta read this.

I love a very feral man!!!! Especially when he don’t play about his woman!!! The story reminded me of all the great 90’s slasher films- at least that’s the vibe I got. Scream for sure! I saw Seth as the bad guy sometimes; hate to love him, but the way he cares for & looks at Brooke? *Sighs. Swoons!!!* That plot twist towards the end shocked the hell outta me though! I DID NOT see that coming! Chuckled at the closing piece bc Seth trying to be all sneaky was cute & funny.

B.W. Lacey’s writing is bold, emotional, and razor-sharp. This story wasn’t just about love — it was about survival, obsession, and the darkness we’ll walk through for the people we’d kill for. If you like your romance with teeth—dark, messy, and emotionally charged—this book is for you.

I am not even sure where to start…
First off this book is brilliant! B.W. Lacey has created a book that has so much depth and character that I could not put it down!
This is a dark, dark romance bordering on psychological romance. It has some very dark themes but do not let that deter you. This is a stalker, serial killer, touch her and die, bloody book. However the love story that develops between Brooke and Seth had me speechless. To be loved like he loves her…to do whatever it takes to keep her safe…it’s just mind blowing.
Seth and Luke are some very complex characters and it takes a bit to understand them. B.W. Lacey did an amazing job when talking from their POV to help the reader understand mental illness and why serial killers think the way they do. Seth and Luke’s story starts as kids and the amount of trauma they both endured is mind boggling. However, the two characters could not be any different (even though in some ways they are the same). I truly believe Luke is incapable of love. He wants power and control and sees love and even relationships as a weakness. Seth on the other hand, even though he has his own demons, truly loves Brooke. He wants to be better for her. He struggles with his demons and his need for control but for her he tries to manage it.
Brooke is her own mess of emotions. She has endured her own amount of trauma as a child but it has affected her different. She relies only on herself for the most part and even though she has some close friends (Travis and Mila), she still feels alone most of the time. I feel like she finds safety in her loneliness.
This book is full of plot twists and keeps you on the edge of your seat moments but I was not emotionally nor mentally prepared for the plot twist at the end! WOW! I did not see that coming at all. Well played, B.W. Lacey, well played.
All this to say…READ THIS BOOK!!!! You will not be disappointed. However, your mental health matters so please check the triggers because it may be triggering to some people.
I am now eagerly and not so patiently awaiting Book 2!!!!!

Intrigue, shock, devastation, heartbreak, anger, betrayal, obsession, understanding, anxiety, love… the list seriously goes on and on. I was gasping, my heart was racing, and I couldn’t put it down for even a second.
The thing that hit me hardest? How Seth and Brooke saw each other’s broken, raw pieces and didn’t run. They didn’t need to be perfect to love each other — they loved harder because of the cracks. And that first time they came together in the tattoo shop? HOLY SHIT. It was electric, tender, intense — one of my absolute favorite moments EVER. I was feeling it in my chest.
Then there’s the moment when Brooke is freaked out after a masked guy breaks into her room to warn her… I was holding my breath the entire time. Her fear, confusion, and all the emotions she’s wrestling with? So relatable. It made her feel real, strong, and human, even in the middle of all the chaos.
And the ending… I did not see that twist coming. I was reeling, flipping pages, heart in my throat. B.W. Lacey really knows how to shock you in the best way possible.

Seth, our morally gray (maybe even morally black) MMC, is the son of a psychotic killer and was raised/trained to be a killer alongside his younger brother, Luke. With his father now dead, Seth and Luke took over as the hunters. However, unlike their father, they chose targets involved in crime instead of innocent victims. That all changed though once Seth laid eyes on our FMC, Brooke.
Becoming instantly obsessed, Seth began choosing victims based on those that posed a threat to Brooke. Everyone who touched her, harmed her, or threatened her was now a target. After stalking her for a year, Seth managed to place himself in Brooke’s life not only as her protector, but as her boyfriend.
Brooke had a troubled past of her own - her parents were attacked and murdered in front of her while she watched in hiding. This traumatic past left a darkness inside her and she saw that same darkness in Seth. Their spark was undeniable and addictive and eventually turned into what can either be described as all consuming love or pure obsession. Maybe both?
From that point on, the story evolved. Chaos erupted, relationships altered and the plot twist ending had me gasping.

I am so thankful to B.W. Lacey for gifting me an ARC to this book. It is described as a Dark Romance but it is so much more! It is a dark romance, thriller, horror, serial unaliver, and mixed in are characters you love or hate, oh and twists/turns. This story is told in the POV of 3 people. Luke, a psychopath and brother to our MMC Seth who also happens to be a serial unaliver. Seth has stalked and watched Brooke our FMC and survivor of past trauma for a year. Luke and Seth have their own past trauma and darkness. What happens when all of this darkness collides? Chaos, horror, suspense and death of course. This book grabbed me from the prologue! It is rare a book does that and even rarer it keeps the same momentum page after page and tosses me curve balls that I never saw coming! B.W. Lacey executed this story immaculately and left me panting for more! I felt like I was in a movie with pieces of Jason Vorhees, Scream, The Girl On A Train, at times a Dexter feel to it and so many other elements! This ended up being one of my favorite reads of the year to date. Definitely recommend and definitely will read the second book when it releases. I gave 5 stars but it is so much more.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, BOOKSTA!!! And a lovely happy birthday wish to the very unhinged, obsessive, protective and chaotic, Seth Kincaid. Our delectable MMC. I mean it honestly makes so much sense for the plot that his birthday is on Halloween.
First of all, before we go any further, READ. YOUR. TRIGGER. WARNINGS. This one is dark dark DARK!!! Hands down the darkest I have ever read but still such a fun, spooky time. This is the most perfect Halloween read if I’ve ever found one.
For all you girlies that had a crush on Skeet Ulrich or Matthew Lillard in the original Scream, this one is for you. This is a slasher romance and yes, Seth is every bit as unhinged and deranged as you can imagine. But he’s not the worst one….scared yet?? Our FMC isn’t the weak link tho. She’s got a dark past but it’s just made her have a really good sense of humor. Which you kinda have to after living through that.
The author did a fan-freaking-tastic job of mixing an even amount of darkness, spice and suspense. This was such a captivating read! I could not put this down and had me on edge. I hope to see more from this author in the future!! 🖤🖤

All the Ways I’d Kill for You is dark, twisted, and heartbreakingly beautiful. From the very first chapter, I was completely hooked—and a little bit terrified—in the best way possible. This story blurs the line between love and obsession so perfectly that I found myself questioning everything right alongside the heroine.
The chemistry between the main characters is magnetic. He’s dangerous, protective, and completely unhinged, yet somehow you can’t help but root for him. Every scene crackles with tension, and the author,B.W. Lacey, does an incredible job of making you feel both the fear and the pull of their connection. Add in the psychotic brother who wants her dead, and the stakes never let up.
This isn’t your typical romance—it’s raw, consuming, and a little bit disturbing. But that’s exactly what makes it unforgettable. I closed the book feeling haunted, satisfied, and already wishing for a sequel. If you love dark romance with moral grayness, possessive love, and emotional chaos, and throw in. A little killing, this one is defintely for you.

Anyone who this book is meant for will 100% be hooked by the prologue. Anyone who it is not meant for will 100% know by “squished like a melon”. The prologue was so intense that I feared the intensity would fall off after that. Cue the frat boys skin melting off…absolute literary perfection. I ate this book up!!!! And YES there is a cliffhanger 👀

Seth (the pitch black version of “if he wanted to he would”) is an absolute psychopath who is obsessed with Brooke. Even as psychotic as Seth was, I was still cheering for him the entire time.
Luke is the unhinged (recently unmedicated) more evilly motivated psychotic brother of Seth who gave me immense amounts of anxiety the entire book.
The plot twists, the spice, the descriptive scenes…it is so hard to believe that this is B.W. Lacey’s debut novel. So amazing!

My rating would be six stars if applicable. This book borders dark romance and psychological thriller plunging you into a multitude of tropes that send you on one heck of a whirlwind. I genuinely couldn’t put it down and finished reading within two days.
Brooke and Seth have their own secrets - dark pasts inevitably attracting them to one another. Though was it fate or forced in place? Steamy, morbid, and absolutely plot driven you get dual POV between these lovers, unraveling more and more details to a sinister story unfolding.
It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to read a dark romance this devoted to allowing there to be a storyline you get to follow along without overwhelming you with spiciness if you know what I mean. (YOU STILL GET PLENTY OF IT, DON’T WORRY!) But you also get the pleasure of a well manicured and deeply developed story line with twists and turns at every corner.

I love when Black authors tap into the Dark romance genre and let me tell you this book took me for a ride hunny because all the twists had me shook, characters who I liked turned out the villains, characters would die that I didn’t want to die and the MMC would piss me off and then make me like him in every other chapter. Brooke the FMC, she’s pretty strong and resilient, but at times, I felt like she gave in way too much. She does have some secrets of her own that I have no idea where her character development is going.
It definitely gives like 90’s slasher film vibes, and the killing is in a lot of detail 👀 and there was a certain someone who I thought ooo wonder if they will get their own book cause I was liking there personality. Girl I was way off cause they did some nasty things and became the villain and i just wanted the MMC to get rid of him for the longest 😩
The end is just crazy with what happens, did not see some of it coming! Anyways I’m ready for book 2

I cannot say enough good things. The whip lash I got from the last 25% of this book is going to take forever to recover from. The twists and turns was such a wild ride.
First off, I LOVE a strong, assertive, take no crap FMC. She wants what she wants with no apologies. This pairs beautifully with the tortured soul she carries. Add in Seth and they are everything.
So about Seth. Sir…. I love a considerate king who handles problems on the down low. I enjoyed the progression of the MMC without changing who he is.
The spice… no time was wasted.
Hard topics were hit, read the trigger warnings. I feel most were presented in such a raw and realistic way that really can connect with the reader.

To say I was enthralled from the very beginning would be an understatement.
B.W. Lacey knows how to write a horror/murder scene like no other. I had the opportunity to ARC read this book and I couldn’t stop reading once I started. Knows how to set a scene and keep the momentum flowing from start to finish. I would read more from this author in a heart beat.
The twists and turns in this book are absolutely amazingly written, and just elaborately explained. You won’t know what hit you. Loved every second of it.

Brooke and Seth are unforgettable characters, both layered and complex, pulling you deeper into their dangerous, intoxicating world. The tension is relentless, and just when I thought I knew where it was going, the plot twisted in ways I never saw coming. Wowwww! This book was so freaking amazing! Definitely one of the darkest dark romance books I’ve ever read and I loved every second of it. It had be hooked from the start and had me wanting to figure out what the hell was going on. Getting in the head of these characters was insane and wow the passion was there. Definitely a top tier MMC and wowza was he protective of the FMC who may I add is such a badass! Had me feeling all the emotions and I can’t wait for the rest of this trilogy, had me on the edge of my seat.
