It’s bad enough that he’s six feet two inches tall and has these stupid submissive desires, like the need for someone to spoon him from behind, kiss him on the head, and keep him from being afraid of everything. Nathaniel is a straight guy on the hunt for a dominant girlfriend, or so he keeps telling himself. He hasn't had much luck in finding the girl of his dreams, probably because of the obsession he has with the hot, ripped statue in his town's spooky graveyard. He can't seem to stop visiting the muscled statue, especially once he hears the tale of how the statue came to be in the graveyard. Still, it's 'no homo' since the statue isn't a person, right?

The statue isn’t a real man, so it doesn’t count. But if the statue was a real man? It would Dom the living daylights out of him, and there’s a chance that Nathaniel would love every second of it. Held in his stone embrace, he’d be so deliciously helpless.

I think this book is the perfect gateway book into M. Syrinx's writing. There's a bit of tantalization, a bit of teasing, and a bit of denial, but in a lighter, more humorous way than the rest of their books. Nathaniel is a bit of an idiot, constantly justifying his attraction to the statue. When the statue mysteriously gifts him The Cursed Items of Torment (a cock cage and a dildo) he thinks "they're meant to entice him into liking cock!' 🤣 Hilarious, since he's been literally panting over the statue for forever. The book is super funny, with the usual high spice and submission I've come to expect from M. Syrinx. It's well worth a read!

He wants to be full. He wants to be so full of cock that he can’t think of anything else. And he wants to break the damn curse.

Ummm 🤔 This is 65 pages and it took me almost 3 days to read it and I fell asleep twice? For a 65 page book it just felt like it went on forever and there was hardly any spice which was disappointing tbh.

For an erotica book about a cursed statue and a horny college boy, I just expected it to be a bit more porny? Especially because I’ve been told to read this author for some really good short BDSM erotica soooo 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is the 5th in the Halloween Tempation series of spooky smutty novellas and I'm such a fan of this series! This is my first read by this particular author and it won't be my last. Not only did it have sexy and spooky vibes, but it was also funny! I laughed out loud multiple times as I read this.

Poor Nathaniel is 6'2" and wants desperately to find a Dom who will care for him and for whom he can submit...but no one ever thinks a big guy like him could want to be a sub. At a kink Halloween party, he gave it one last go, only to be disappointed again. He decides to cut through the cemetery in order to get home quickly and has (another) strange experience after passing by the huge statue of a male...he makes it home safely only to find some intriguing items in his backpack....and thus begins his adventure. Does he find what he wants in his life? Let's just say this is one hot and funny road to a HEA! Enjoyed it thoroughly and cannot wait to read more from this author!

This series is such a great read. All good queer fantasy reads, all of them written by different writers.

This book is about Nathaniel and Martell. Nathaniel has finished his studies and is now trying to find a job, but even more trying to find his true self and what he wants.

Walking over a graveyard every time, even in the evening, gives him the creeps, but he tries to be brave. Even when that huge dominating statue always stares at him. But now it even talks to him and soon after it leaves him two special gifts.

It is so lovely to see Nathaniel find out what he really wants. And making free choices for his future with Martell. Although it does frustrate him at first, since he can't manage one of those special gifts he got.

Put in a story told by the old graveyard keeper and you have a good story for this time of the year. Although you can read it at any other time of course.

And the end is so steamy and after that so promising for things happening in the future. I wouldn't mind a sequel to read about that

This story was a great mix of spooky, funny and smutty. Nathaniel’s “I’m totally straight” energy crashing headfirst into a cursed statue with a dominant streak had me cackling at one point. I seriously love silly stories like this with a slightly ridiculous setup (and yes, there’s a vibrating c*ck cage). I’m loving this series so much.

'He’s not gay, just… a little kinky.'

*Smirk* I loved this book. It was a fun, quick romance. I really liked Nathaniel. He was submissive, but being tall and masculine, it's hard for him to find a dominant girlfriend, since the girls want him to dominate.

I love the mystery and suspense surrounding the statue; how Nathaniel became more invested and more attracted. His fearful reactions in a cemetery at night, and a seeming disembodied voice saying his name were realistic, but I liked that he faced his fears and kept going back. The chemistry was hot, but beyond that, I got emotionally invested in these two and breaking the curse. It was more than just smut and I loved it.

This is the first story I've read by this author and I would read more. 5 stars

Martell was cursed to become a statue forever. The only way to break the curse is for a mortal to ‘take him fully’. Nathaniel years to submit to someone dominant. Someone like the sexy statue he sees when he walks through the cemetery.

Being edged by the statue is beautiful torture for Nathaniel and being teased by the human is exquisite torture for Martell.

This is a Halloween tale of a cursed statue and a straight to gay romance involving the statue. Nathaniel is the human straight man who definitely is looking for a dom. At first he thinks that it needs to be a domme then fate steps in the decides for him that not just a man but a cursed statue will do. Spicy things happen and Nathaniel is turned by the statue and HEA ensues.
