Welcome back to the pack, Cole the youngest of the brothers and the pack enforcer. He is living life and loving hard until the day one of the humans he cares about gets murdered and he is arrested for the crime . He is let go and he is hurting inside and doesn't want to have to deal with any female . Until Kenzie comes to town to stay with her friend Tansy. Something shifts in Cole and he wants to get to know Kenzie but Kenzie is sworn off men of any kind after her run ins with her ex . But the attraction is hot and you can't deny your animal instincts when they are screaming MATE MATE MATE. Will they be able to figure out what they want before it is too late.
Cole and Kenzie's book is full of heart ache and actually a little heart break . Kenzie is a fox shifter who is honestly tougher than she looks and is one that should not be mistaken for a pushover . Cole is a playboy who reputation precedes him. He loves life and the ladies but is yearning for some one that he can have a family with and have that one true love that his brother Zane has. Lilah really turns into a villian in this book. She is so determined to be Coles she does almost anything to get at both him and Kenzie. Until the moment Kenzie shows her who the boss really is . Lilah deserves what she got because she was such a witch . I absolutely loved these character .
This was a slow burn story with some baggage added to it from both main characters . The story is pretty fast paced but I do wish we got to see Kenzie's ex come to town and go against Cole. Just to add an extra layer to the story line . I was so waiting for it through the whole book. I enjoyed this one a little bit more then I liked Zane's book . It took a bit more for them to come together than in Zane's book . I truly like this series and so want to read Ridge's book .

Book 2 is just as good as book 1. Do you have to read book 1 no but should you ? Yes . It gives you a more complete understanding of this pack and the Bayou Crecent Wolves. I like how this author keeps the story flowing. No big fillers with word to just get word count up. She let's you be introduced to each character and then they just come alive. Cole is a player - but not really. He likes women and they like him. He treats them nice. He is upfront it is nothing more than a hook up etc. The tragedy at the first of the book shook him. Things take a turn when the new girl arrives. Kenzie - you get little tidbits about her throughout the book. You never know what went on with her ex but it did some mental damage. Some drama from the ex in the story would have added another layer. But I guess girl drama was enough.

Cole starts off with a bang. He's known as a playboy, but with a heart of gold. Shortly after the story begins, there's a twist that had me turning the pages to find out what happens next. After a bit, Kenzie shows up after a broken relationship. She wants nothing to do with guys. Can she resist Cole's charm? Or is there more to it? I couldn't put it down and wouldn't want to. This was a fast-paced read that had so much going on! I absolutely loved it!

A fox shifter, Kenzie, has had it with men. She wants nothing to do with them after being cheated on multiple times. She decides to spend Christmas in Louisiana, where she meets her mate. She thinks his ego is too big to deal with. Will she see the true side of him? Will he convince her he's different?

Great second book to the Bayou Crescent Wolves! Cole is awesome and his relationship with Kenzie develops so beautifully!! Loved how it has twists and turns, specially one that will truly surprise you. Do not miss this book, I loved it!!!

This book is another masterpiece from Madison Granger. She is an amazing story teller. I had a hard time putting this book I looking forward to reading more from her.
