I took this job out of sheer desperation. It's just one night in a specific hotel, they said. Spend one night, and then you'll get paid. But that single night turns into a nightmare as I'm chased along the gloomy hotel corridors by four different monstrous entities. They're hunting me, hungry for me. They have tentacles, teeth, glowing eyes, supernatural powers... I should be terrified of them. But why they kinda...
A dark monster romance inspired by the horror game "Doors" and the disappearances at the Cecil Hotel. Please check the content guidance at the beginning of the book before reading.
So I read this book and honestly I had no idea what to expect. I have never read anything with monsters before and I am still not sure if it is really my thing. But I could not put it down 😂. Even now I do not know if I am into the whole monster vibe but if you are and you love plenty of spice you will definitely enjoy this one!
This book really surprised me. I absolutely loved the mixture of horror and romance. It gave me the feeling of playing a wicked escape horror game. It's so well written and really drags you into the haunted hotel. With lots and lots of spice and terrifying yet oddly sexy monsters😏. It seems this is a standalone but I absolutely would love to read more of this world! Definitely checking out the author's other books!
4.5 stars for sure. This was somehow suspenseful, funny, and unbelievably sweet. I love how Jessamine Rue writes her characters, heavily flawed and sarcastic with room to grow. This is definitely a spicey book but there’s still a storyline and enough banter to make you kick your feet.
Read in one sitting and I’m still dizzy from the heart pounding terror and spice! I loved the supernatural element and how precious each monster was. Forever worshipping at the alter of Viral, though.
I wasn’t so not prepared but it was a great read, that climax *chefs kiss … I found this as a rec on tt and I’m happy I decided to read it. It keeps you entertained, with a strong-minded fmc and cray cray mmcs. Yesss I fell in love with feral first :)
This is the first time I read this author, and I glad I got the chance. This book is a short, cute, spooky, spicy monster reverse harem and I loved every bit of it. I love all the mmcs, and how they're different monsters 👻. The FMC has a dark little past but took this game head on. I hate how it was over to fast. The spice was spicy 🌶🌶🌶🌶
"Go up, Not down. If you hear Feral, hide. If you meet Virl, laugh. And pray you don't encounter Lurk. If you do, run."
I wanted to like this one because it's why choose. My favorite. But the same freaking words got used over and over and over and it got boring. Now don't get me wrong. The story was good and I loved the characters, Feral was my favorite. But I needed more words not the same ones
