This really is like an ENTIRE dark romance all wrapped up in a sweet novella package, and it's so good! It hits ALL the beats, and I found that the intensity level and the switch from need and want to obsession and possession was almost PERFECT for me. The heat was very much to my liking, and I LOVE the way they found their HEA.

I rated this novella 4* I absolutely loved the chemistry between the leads is sizzling and the spice is just right. The action's non-stop, with twists and turns that keep you guessing. Unique characters, a clever Mafia concept and a masked hitman make for a thrilling ride. It's a quick, sexy read that's got it all - romance, danger and more.

Laura's on a mission for truth, while Joey's trying to protect her. He's a crime scene ninja with a difference - instead of throwing stars, he uses cleaning supplies. When they meet again, things get complicated. The chemistry between them is off the charts! Secrets, desire and drama - this story has definitely got it all.

Joey, is a meticulous cleaner of crime scenes. But when he's sent to clean up a new mess, he's shocked to find a familiar face - Laura, the love of his life who he thought was lost forever. As he's forced to confront his feelings and protect Laura, Joey must decide where his loyalties truly lie. Will he follow his heart or his orders?

I'd highly recommend this book to those not put off by the triggers.

This was exquisitely bizarre, with such unique characters and a masked hitman with a genius Mafia concept. This Mafia quick read, covers all the bases with a unraveling plot, danger, full of romance, rekindling and a spicy, twisty burn.

Laura's on the hunt for the truth behind the mask, but Joey, the "Janitor", is all about protecting her from the mess. He's like a crime scene ninja, but instead of throwing stars, he uses cleaning supplies. When a body needs to disappear, Joey's the man for the job. He's got a reputation for being flawless, but fate has other plans when he arrives at another crime scene and spots Laura, his ex. He's supposed to make her disappear, but instead, he takes her home. Looks like she's going to be his new partner in crime... or love!

The chaos and the chemistry between the characters jump off the page! A past unspoken, hidden secrets—full of desire. Blown away, and not just because of the steamy scenes. The story's got some serious drama, but isn't too sappy. If you're looking for something hot, you're in luck. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The ladies are fierce, but the dudes still save the day!!

Joey, the janitor, cleans up 'messes' left by his employer. That is until a 'mess' comes up, giving him a blast from the past. A girl he knows, Laura, the girl who he'd ask to marry, a girl he spent his life loving, alive in the wreckage of bodies.

I loved this short spice filled novella. The chemistry you feel between the two of them is instant. The spice within the short less than 100 paged novella is remarkable. The action sucks you in wishing there was more to the story than what the author gives you.

This book was so good it was my first by this author but won't be my last who can say no to a masked possessive mafia man ? Not me this book was everything I wanted it to be and more the only thing I can say is I guessed the twist very early on

My first read from this author and I am throughly impressed.. It is a novella, so expect the fast paced love of one. (I finished it in about 35 minutes or so.) Definitely going to have to pick up the rest of this series soon and do a deep dive into this beautifully done mafia style family. 🖤

This was a great little novella. It captured me from the beginning and kept me reading. I loved how Joey and Laura fit together perfectly.

Good introduction to the fictional world of the series. A little too fast paced for me, but it's a novella and technically a second chance romance, so it needed to move quickly. I'm intrigued enough by el diablo and the butcher to read the series.

This book is dark and it makes you feel all of the feels. From violence to explicit sex the book has it all. But the action never stops.
