Lucas Adler has dedicated years to climbing the ranks and becoming the club's top Enforcer of the Rebel Kings Brotherhood Motorcycle Club and the right hand to the Sergeant at Arms.
But, despite the status, power, and respect the club affords him, there’s one important thing missing.
The one thing that would make all the blood, sweat, and tears spilled worth it. The one thing he let slip right through his fingers.
And now, after all these years, he’s going to do everything in his power to get her back and never let her go.
Callie Hansen is powerful in her own right as she uses her body not only for pleasure but for information. Working beside the Dominatrix, Tasha, inside the sexiest club, Masquerave, a place where secrets and desires intertwine, has given her the freedom she’s always wanted.
Now, even behind the safety of her mask, Callie is forced to confront her past and the one person she never thought she'd see again.
Because if she lets him see one crack in her carefully constructed facade, he’ll shatter it and her heart along with it. She’ll need to use every trick up her sleeve to ensure that it doesn’t happen…again.
Author's Spinning Out of Control is a short story set in the World of Masquerave. Although reading the series before this is not required, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the characters and the world.
KL Hill is a dark and paranormal romance author. She resides in Indiana with her husband, precious pets, and a coop full of pigeons. Coded in Control, the first book in the Masquerave series, is now available!
Guys KL Hill could scribble on a napkin and I’d read it. The way I was panting within 8 seconds of reading this delicious dark novella from the series I’ve been ABSOLUTELY FERAL for. So feral, some of us girls have a group chat dedicated to it.
Spinning Out of Control took me back to Masquarave, a k*nk club where we meet Callie, who works for Tasha, Devin and Tony. Her ex Luke books a session with her, but Callie isn’t exactly happy to see him.
This novella was perfection. Hill knows how to write dark romance that makes tears run down your thighs.
And to be clear this is not as dark as Coded in Control, full length book 1 of the Masquerave series. Specifically, Coded is more graphically v*olent, so this is good to check out first. And check your trigger warnings.
How a 52 page book manages to jam in so many of my fave tropes, I don’t know.
But I do know we’ll be hypothesizing what’s next until Chained to Control comes out in April.
