Paco Saves the Day
Earth is under attack!
Orcs have begun their assault on the planet in an attempt to stake their claim in the universe.
Chris, a livestreamer known for his videos feeding raccoons, is teleported off-world by the grays in a last-ditch effort to save as many humans as possible. Brought to a foreign planet, Chris and his newly sentient raccoon, Paco, must now learn how to survive in the universe with their new abilities.
One side wants them dead, the other wishes them nothing but peace.
Follow Chris and Paco as they’re dragged into politics they don’t understand, wars they never started, and quests that don’t make sense.
Together, they must learn the ways of the system that the Council controls, and make it home by any means necessary.

This was a super fun time! I really enjoyed the characters in this one, especially a side character who makes the worlds best coleslaw 😂
I loved the dialogue, and the two main characters in this. It’s a fast paced, fun ride and at just over 250 pages, it’s not a super long book. I think it really hits its stride around the halfway point for me. This made me excited to read the next in the series, and I am real curious how the audiobook would go for this one!
I did have some minor issues with the class system, and some of the world building. I think we could have spent more time explaining the classes and the abilities, which may make it harder for a newer reader in the genre, but still enjoyable. There is some lack of world building, where we are not sure where the planet the characters travel to in this book. Although these are issues, it didn’t take me out of the story too much and it was still enjoyable. I genuinely think a glossary or a recap in the beginning of book 2 would be awesome, and help fill those gaps.
Overall, I had a great time and I laughed a lot. I definitely would recommend this to others, and would highly suggest reading if you want a fast paced LitRPG that gives DCC vibes.

This book is a ton of fun. It's jam packed with action and humor but also tugs on some emotional strings as well. The world was very alive and all of the characters were rich with personality. Can't wait to see where the series go.

Absolutely brilliant! Paco Saves the Day is one of the most unique sci-fi adventures I’ve read in years. The idea of a livestreamer and his raccoon getting dragged into intergalactic wars is hilarious, yet the story also packs real heart. Paco is unforgettable.

This is book 1 of a 4 book series. You looking for your next book to fill DCC? Look no futher cause I am already craving the other 3 books. What can I say about this book besides fantastic! As a LitRPG genre fan, this hit all the right spots. You got plenty of fighting, different races, level system, loot boxes, upgrades, character bonding, a snarky AI, and a lovable and funny character that is the true star. There is twists in the story that creates lots of drama and excitement and has you wanting more. I don't want to give to much away to spoil the story, but I highly reccomend you read this book if you are a fan of LitRPG and love raccoons. This one is being added to my favorites. I can't wait to get add the physical book as my achievement/trophy. Now I am itching for the next one to see what trouble our friends get into next!
