She has always had a love for books beginning with the Baby Sitter’s Club, R.L. Stine, and Christopher Pike. She dabbled in writing as she grew up but never took it as seriously as she should have.
Mel Dau graduated from from Wando High School, then later matriculated to Benedict College (BSW) and Webster University (MHRM). She is a mother of a teenage daughter, a HR Professional, and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Damn Mel’s Characters have really been in their killing bag these last few books….killing both women and children….I don’t know how I feel about that…I was generous with my rating because ultimately I love Mega and the Manfield Family.

Back again with all his craziness!! And I was here for it!! I laughed so much it was ridiculous lol 😂 But as usual it was amazing and plus ms Ruth leaned up a few times too!! She was not here to play about her family!!

I’m so Mega
Until I read stories about Mega and Ruth, I never truly liked or appreciated a series about the same set of characters unless it was the Henderson’s, Mavericks or Valentines (iykyk), but every time I see a story about Mega and crew, I know it’s going to be good and have me laughing out loud. Mega is hilarious but so serious at the same time. I love his character and I love Ruth as well. She helps tame her husband some but he’s still unhinged just like the rest of their crew. If you’ve never read about Mega and Ruth, you should start with the first book they were in because it is a good time and a good read.
Mel keeps saying this is the last of Mega, but I won’t be mad if he and his crew have more to say. It’s always a good time catching up with them and seeing what all happened since previous stories and that’s what I love the most about this series; that it’s a continuation of their lives like watching a new season of your favorite show and has you looking forward to the next season.

Family, Loyalty, and Mega Energy
I’m So Mega was such a fun ride! I loved catching up with Mega and all his antics—he truly loves and protects his family in his own unique way. The close-knit village vibe made the story even better, with everyone always showing up for each other. And Megatron? Absolute favorite. This book had heart, humor, and that cozy “found family” feeling I adore.

So Mega and So Satisfying!
I read most of this with a chuckle on my lips and a smile on my face. "I'm so Mega," cateloged Ruth's, Mega, and the crew's journey and filled in some gaps. Time had been good to everyone. It taught them valuable lessons through losses and gains, hurts and joys, and highs and lows. Mega and Ruth had weathered the storm, and the Big G always provided protection when it counted most.
It wasn't always easy, but the one thing that stood out was the unconditional love these couples had for their partners and the family bond they created.
That unaliving at the end left moraly floored 😕 . I suppose anyone can get it. But we gone let em have it and move on.
"Mega nor Ned felt bad for Ryne or his family. F🦆k niggas tended to hang with f🦆k niggas. That was what f🦆k niggas did." - (angry much??)

That’s my best friend!!
I know Mel Dau is trying to say that this is the last Mega book but my spirit says that’s not the truth and she needs to consult with Big G about that.
It was great catching up with my best friend, his family and everybody else. And it was great to meet all the new family and friends that I now need to know more about.
It wouldn’t be a Mega book without all his craziness and of course his relationship with the Big G!!

I’m So Mega
Ms. Author Ma’am! Mega and Ruth is one of my favorite couples. Ruth definitely balances Mega out. I loved the updates to these Mega, Ruth and their circles lives. I loved how parenting was talked about and how far they went for their children. I loved the humility shown in Mega fashion. If you know you know. My favorite part was the men’s group for the church. The pastor was with Mega’s shenanigans too! Great story.

I love me some Mega. Loved getting a dose of Mega and Ruth and their unhinged friends. The only thing that would make this better is if it were on audio. I need narrators to give this story even more life. Siri and Alexa just don't do it justice.

Mega! I need more, especially on little Miss Megan because I just know she’s going to be Mega and Goldie 2.0.
Maggie and Kellie? I love their bond so much I would live to see them grown up as teenagers.
I wasn’t surprised Core is following in his dad and uncle’s footsteps, but whew that age jump had me shook. I just read the other books where he was 5 years old, lol.
Croya becoming a mom? Sigh. These characters’ kids feel like my TT babies at this point.
And Samuel? Oh, I feel it in my spirit he’s a killa. I just know his story is bat-shyt crazy.
The twins though… Sadie and Shaun grown-grown?!! I need the tea. And I definitely want to see the twin boys in action once they’re teenagers.
I can’t get enough of Mel Dau. Her writing style is unmatched and hilarious asf. Mel, I’m begging you please do a whole book in Pig Latin. Release two versions: one in Pig Latin and one in English for the folks who can’t keep up.

Like the Washington/Smith/Christianson clan, it was hard to see the OG's fade into the background or worse - pass away, but I appreciated when Mel knew it was time to usher in the next character generation. This book of what felt like a bunch of short stories complied about Mega and Ruths past and present, feels like a good spot to usher in the next generation of characters- because while I love Mega, it is 14 years later and it's just time. I feel like Megan is already showing that she is gonna be something for us all to look forward to as long as her 4yr old "press" doesn't get raised too high. LOL Overall, this one had quite a few laughs, pulled at the heart strings, unalived the deserving, and took us to church. I feel like Mega as the focus is done now and time to let the next generation speak.

Mega Man and Family
The growth in Mega is amazing!!!…After all these years, he clearly has shown I’ve grown, but sometimes I have to step back into my old shoes to show we are not to be played with!!!..
This book touched on some things that as a parent will have me hyper vigilant with my 12 year old daughter!!!…Maggie has such a beautiful spirit and I love her relationship with her parents and how supported she felt to let Ruth know that Kellie was being violated, at school!!!…
I hope there is more to come of Fiona, Croy and their crew with Baby Gracie!!!…
I truly enjoyed this book and love the way these families have grown so much!!!…

I would never write one bad word about Mega. From the very first book, Mega Man, to this latest update on the lives of Mega, Ruth, their babies, and their extended family, I’ve been 10 toes down! I really enjoyed this wrap-up of Mega’s world.
Mega and Ruth’s journey from forbidden love to building a beautiful, loving family has been amazing to witness. This book is not a standalone — it should definitely be read after the other Mega books so you can fully appreciate the growth and depth of their story.
Mega’s journey with the Big G is powerfully outlined across all three books, and Mel Dua can do no wrong in my eyes when it comes to Megatron Loric Manfield.

Never enough Mega
When Mel Dau created Mega, she broke the mold. I've never read a character like Mega, and every time she gives us a glimpse into the Megaverse I take it. Yes, Ruth and the rest of their family contribute to the story - but Mega gives all the main character energy. We get to see Mega and the crew a few years into the future from the last book. There's more kids, grown kids, navigating the joys and perils of parenthood, and of course Mega's journey with Big G. This book made me laugh, cry, and when Mega told his version of David and Bathsheba...I was like, this is facts! While our guy has grown by leaps and bounds, he is still SO MEGA! Happy Reading Y'all!💋

I got my Mega and nem fix. I loved getting updates on not only Mega and Ruth but also their friends and children. This book had funny moments, which is always the case with Mega, but it also has some teachable moments. My favorite scene was Mega breaking down the story of David and Bathsheba from the Bible. He really grew in his relationship with Big G. I sincerely hope that Corelone gets a story. This man is a nail tech and cosmetologist who works for the Christianson/Smith family. I would love to see that. As always, another amazing read by Mel Dau.

Here we are again on the Mega train. Let me say I enjoyed the ride fully. Time certainly has not changed him and we get a chance to see the crew one more time. In true fashion, we have highs, lows, laughs and tears. It is nice to see in all the life lessons Mega has had in between the last time seeing him The Big G still lets him be the best version of himself as a great Husband, Father , and Friend. I’m so Mega was the perfect way to sit in with the Manfields as they navigated life.

MEL DAU never fails to amaze me every book that I have read I have taken something from it.. Mega and Ruth and their core group are truly what family is about letting them know when they wrong or right or sometimes just STFU a listen but always there…this was so relatable when it comes to raising kids they will take you through it but it’s a blessing when they can come talk to you about whatever…job well done I hope to read about Corleon next it seems he has a story to tell

Book overview:
A decade after trusting in the dark and we get the aftermath. We meet Mega’s smart twin boys , his teenage daughter and Maggie and her best friend Kelly.
We get introduced to his 4 year old sister meghan a mix of Mega and mama Goldie. Almost all the side characters make an appearance too. It felt like a family reunion story with lots of drama and love.

I love Mega! The way Mel Dau has written Mega is artistic perfection. Just like every other book that Mega is either the MMC or a side character, he brings something special to the story. I enjoy Mega and Ruth’s relationship. How she accepts him for who he is and reminds us that Mega’s relationship with the Big G is the foundation of his story. I hope there is an audiobook with Myles Washington as Mega for this story.

Mega is a whole fool out here. The story had me cracking up. I love the character development in Mega. Ruth is everything that Mega needs, and he knows it. I laughed and cried with this book. There is an s/a bullying scene that is addressed in this book. 😳 Therapy is procured for all involved parties, and life continues. New beginnings and happy endings are the wrap up in the case of Megatron and Ruth and their family and friends.

Man this story had me on an emotional rollercoaster. One minute I’m like is this a romantic comedy the next I’m running for a tissue to catch these tears of mine when the deep shït happens. But overall it definitely SO MEGA from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what Mel Dau got next!!!!

Y’all, I just love this couple and their relationship! I was so happy to see that the family tagged along with them in this story.
This story was so good to me! It had me worshipping all day long, because you can truly let life, the trials and lessons that we go through EVERYBODY forget about the beauty in our scars forget that our Heavenly Father has the last say so in EVERYTHING pertaining to His children.

This crew can absolutely do no wrong whatsoever in my opinion. The love and closeness of all of the couples in this book really makes me a way!! I love love love it and sadly it's a rarity in real life. I love the knowledge & true life lessons that Mel brings out thru Mega....it hits every time. Mega and the crew is on my tbr to read at least twice a year simply cuz the messages touched me deeply. Thank you Mel!🥰

I love the way that they love their wives and kids. They are going to protect everyone at all times. The females are the same. I hope that there will be more books about the kids. Do Not Read this In Public!
I have NEVER laughed so hard! Mega is a full sized mess! He’s grown in his Christian walk but he’s still HIM! Ruth has evolved into a full gansta! 😂 I love how the humor was interspersed with relevant topics that our youths are going through. I just know Mel’s gonna do us a solid and them chirren are going to get their own books! 😬 It was great to catch up with everyone. Thank you for this one!

Can I just say thank you for giving us great material to read. When I say I absolutely love Mega and Ruth they really are the best for me. I was so happy the guys and women handled each problem with the correct amount of love, discipline and respect for the child to have a safe space. I can't wait to see who you write about next🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Mega!!
This update on Mega, Ruth and the friend group was sooooo good!! I enjoyed every single thing about this book. The laughter, crashouts, shenanigans and the emotional moments made this book everything. Mega will always and forever be my favorite book bae. I know this is probably his last book, but I'm hoping that he will continue to have a scene or two in upcoming books so I won't go through withdrawals. 😊
