That was the text Niaomi received from the boy she had loved for three years. No explanation. No conversation. Just silence. Stephon had been the one she planned her future with, the one she thought she would follow to college and beyond. His sudden goodbye shattered everything, and ten years passed without a word.
Now Niaomi is back home with more than an unopened letter from Stephon she has kept hidden for the past year. She has Simon, the man who loves her fiercely and makes it clear he will not let anyone play with her heart. But coming face to face with the boy who became the man who ghosted her means reopening wounds she thought she buried.
Does she still need closure after a decade of silence, even at the risk of jeopardizing her future with Simon? Or will she finally leave the past where it belongs and destroy both the letter and the memories of what could have been?
I truly enjoyed reading this love story and I’m so happy Naomi was able to realize that Simon was the best choice for her. Although I have no hard feelings towards Stephon, I do feel they did the right thing by remaining friends. Can’t wait to read whatever this author drops next!
