I can always count on I.V. Shady when I’m in the mood for a short, seriously hot read, and this one absolutely delivered. Monster leans fully into edgy, high heat erotica with a bratty heroine, strong power dynamics, and bold, no-apologies energy.

Kitten and her Monster.

This was a short spicy read with bratty Luna going on a group ride with other bikers and noticing one particular unknown in the group. Luna, aka Kitten, as the big man on his bike called her, was being watched with interest. Now Luna couldn't see his face, his helmet was in the way, but she knew it. She was all about the flirt and banter with her hips swaying. Luna was far from shy.😝😂😂 Why not stir the pot and see what happens? Especially when he asked her to break away from everyone else and go for a ride with him. I think he knew her, she didn't know him.

The smut was the plot.🔥☠️🔥 It was short and got to the point.lol Rough play was the name of the game. And if someone was awake and alert or possibly not, in this adult bedtime story, anything goes. Some of the kinks ((for me)) were too extreme, a bit cliché for a MC. This wasn't a romance. It was a hook-up. However. It was written well, the story moved easily, it does end with a HFN. This story was short and steamy, with such few pages this was spicyyy.
I loved that both of them were sexy motorcyclists, and the immediate attraction they had for each other. The FMC is a brat and takes complete control, and he gives in.
The full power play, submission and dominance, with the fun BDSM elements.

There’s not really much I can say, it’s a super fast read with a little motorbike tour and into the spicy side of the two 🥵 A bit of dominance, a smidgen of spanking, some breath play and a switch around. It’s pure erotic fun from the get go and I totally enjoyed my monster foray!

I.V. Shady has quickly become my go-to example of how short erotica can still feel complete and satisfying. Whether you start with Bound, Caught, or Monster, you know you’re getting something fun, confident, and spicy without unnecessary filler.

Monster is a short, high-heat story that knows exactly what it wants to be and leans fully into it. Bikes, attitude, power play, and instant chemistry all wrapped up in a single scene that wastes no time getting where it’s going. It’s very much a “strap in and enjoy the ride” kind of read.

One thing I really appreciated was the author’s note right at the start. It set the tone perfectly, playful, confident, and self-aware, and made it clear this story isn’t trying to be anything other than unapologetically spicy. That energy carries through the whole piece.

The story itself is split into two halves, with a clear shift in control partway through, which worked really well for a short format. It kept the pacing tight and made the dynamic feel intentional rather than rushed. For such a brief story, the chemistry came through clearly, and it felt written with all readers in mind, not just one gaze or perspective.

I did have a couple of minor personal gripes with some wording choices. A few terms pulled me out of the moment briefly, though that’s very much a personal taste thing, and in one case, rereading the context actually made it work better than I first thought. Nothing here ruined the experience, and for a story this short and playful, it’s easy to roll with.
