Rescued by an alien, and a hot one at that. Unfortunately, he was also a priest. What sort of mess had Ella fallen into?
She’d survived both alien abduction, and a horrible crash on a distant world, but Ella's ordeal was only beginning. She now found herself in the most unlikely of situations imaginable -- The lone woman in an alien monastery. An ancient order where females were not absolutely allowed. Yet there she was, right in the middle of it.
Her saving grace? A loophole in their own laws. One that stated that the injured were to be taken in and cared for. As a result, her disruptive presence in their cloistered home was grudgingly allowed, for the time being, at least, but not without drawing the ire of the devout men residing within.
All but one.
Draikis. The one who found her. The one who risked his life to rescue her. The man who was now bound by a sacred obligation to protect the life he'd saved. At least, it started as just that. A simple duty to fulfill. But as the alluring woman from Earth mended and healed, something impossible had sparked between them. A powerful draw that now threatened his vows themselves.
This book was a fun read for me. I have not read a book like this in awhile. And I enjoyed it, the storyline was okay. The story centered on Ella and Draikis and how their attraction slowly grew. And when it did that’s when the very spicy love scenes started.
I've really enjoyed this series. In this Sci Fi romance series, people had been kidnapped from Earth by the Raxxians, aliens that are planning on using those kidnapped people for their food ...
A large ship crashed and those survivors were the focus of each book. In the backstory of this series, the alien world where these women crashed has a requirement that everyone must have runes tattooed onto them, otherwise they can be arrested and killed. So in each book there is a plot point of how those kidnapped women end up getting their runes done.
In The Priest's Temptation, Ella was in a crash where she was the sole survivor. She wakes up with major burns and broken bones, and is being cared for by Draikis, an alien who lives in a monastery and has taken a vow of celibacy. Ella convinces the priests that Earth is within the conglomerate where she crashed, and that her runes had been burned off in the crash. She is given top of the line runes which allow her to translate the alien writing very easily.
Ella and Draikis spend most of the book falling in love, and explaining how he took a vow, and even though there is a love rune, the Infala, the priests have put a blocking rune on top of theirs so it doesn't find their mate. Ella spends lots of time in the archives, and meanwhile her Infala is changing and reacting to Draikis.
My main complaint about this particular book is that not much happens until the end of the book. It was hard to get into, and when the crisis came to a head, it was solved relatively quickly. I enjoyed the characters and have read this entire series, but this one isn't my favorite.
I received and advanced copy and am giving an honest review.
Ella's alien abduction from Earth ended with the crash of the Raxxian spacecraft. When she woke, she was being cared for by a hot alien with violet skin and silver eyes. Too bad she’s in a monastery and he is a priest with a vow of celibacy. On the bright side, she is too injured to leave. Their rules say they must care for her and replace her “missing” runes.
Draikis is obligated to care for the beautiful, intelligent woman he rescued. It is not a hardship, but as his attraction to her grows, it may be a challenge.
This story has plenty of drama. The steam builds as the action progresses, and the ending is perfect. I received a free copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.
I liked the premise of Infala: The Priest’s Temptation. The world of the Novarian Brotherhood was fascinating to learn about, and I enjoyed getting to know Draikis (MMC) and his role within this ancient order. The first third of the book was easily my favorite part—watching Draikis nurse Ella (FMC) back to health and seeing their friendship and trust for one another develop into something deeper felt genuine and heartfelt. Their one on one time and conversations during the beginning chapters gave more emotional depth to the story.
Unfortunately, once their relationship became physical, the story shifted toward constant sexually encounters that I felt overshadowed the plot and character growth. To be clear: I enjoy romance with spice, but in this instance it started to feel excessive and repetitive, taking away from the meaningful connection the first part of the book worked to develop. I had hoped that Draikis, being a priest, his inner conflict between his priesthood vows and his feelings/temptation for Ella would have carried more emotional weight and created more built up tension between the two.
I would say that Draikis was the best part of the story, he did seem the genuinely care for Ella and would have given her anything and everything. On the other hand , Ella’s primary focus felt that it consisted of her sexually encounters with Draikis, his glorious male anatomy and reading the brotherhood’s ancient texts- not much else.
Overall, this installment was not my favorite in the series, though I do love this author, her writing style and the world she has created ,so I plan to continue onto the next book when it comes out. I think readers who prefer a fast-burn romance that is heavy on physical attraction and lighter on the plot and character depth might enjoy this more.

Ella is a human woman who was abducted by aliens then barely survived the ship crashing on an unknown planet far from home. She barely survives only because draikis a priest was near and pulled her out of the acid pit which burned her entire body. Nearly ever bone has been broken too and they’ve never seen a human before but the monetary is obligated to care for her until recovery. Draikis takes on the role since he saved her and as she awakens finally and lays unable to move they get to know each other talking sharing and him listening. They think her runes were burned off and she is too afraid to say different. Eventually she receives runes and she is attracted to him but learns of his views. However over time the attraction grows between them. What happens if they cross the line? His views prevent bonding and they really aren’t supposed to be intimate although it’s not strictly forbidden. And why is her infala glowing when bear him and his waking a bit when it’s being blocked? The priests don’t want a female around esp one male who is mean and nasty and wants Ella gone for good. He is very angry she was ever let stay to heal and decides he’s going to cause as much trouble as possible.
This is a charming slow burn where a loving relationship develops between a human and a priest who took vows and the consequences of not only their actions but fates hand at play and those who would throw away the gift of love for mistaken beliefs. And the sacrifices willingly made for the love of your destined mate. I received an arc copy from book sirens and this is my honest voluntary review.
This was a cute, more cozy romance than the others. But I had a few hang ups over it. Firstly, the author kept brushing over sooo much information. Even at the end where the FMC is like "I have super top secret info that I discovered!" It didn't actually explain them. There were conversations between the two main characters but with no context, it was like: They had a heartfelt conversation. She talked about her childhood. He read her the sweetest poetry. It didn't actually mention any context. The other thing that annoyed me was that the FMC I don't think ever said "I love you." It was always him saying it and she was like "I know you do." Or "Yes, you are mine." It was like a bit of a role reversal where he was more soft and timid and she was the minx breaking down his walls It really bugged me, honestly more than anything. There was no "size differences" though the FMC swore up and down there was, but the spice was a lot, so there's that. Though, at times I didn't even realize they'd "started" if you get my meaning and had to re'read the the find print, lol. So, while this was cute and sweet and the MMC was pretty much perfect husband material, this book turned out to be one of my least favorites in this series. It's still a good read, though, and I "think" it carries important info for either future books or past ones. That part wasn't very clear.
Kira Quinn never fails to deliver an exceptional read. This is the ninth installment in the Infala series, and the characters are distinct from those in previous books. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am writing this review voluntarily.
The story begins with Ella and Draikis meeting after Draikis saves Ella from a crash. As in previous books, the Raxxians had abducted humans from Earth as livestock, and their ship crashed on Draikis’ planet near his monastery. Notably, Draikis is a member of the Novarian Brotherhood, a celibate priesthood.
This is a slow-burn, fated mates book with some steamy sex scenes that are kept private from others (similar to Heated Rivalry). However, what truly sets this apart is Ella. She is intelligent and studious, and her ability to decipher the ancient language proves crucial in helping Draikis and Ella establish a life for themselves within the Novarian Brotherhood.
I’m usually not a big fan of slow-burn romances, but the way they got to know each other was truly satisfying.
A Male Community And One Woman Ella is the sole survivor of the crash of the compartment the Raxxians had put her in and ended up with a lot of broken bones and burned skin. The only reason she could pretend that her skin had been covered in runes before, knowing that without those the aliens would put her to death. Draikis had saved her from the crash and proclaimed himself her caregiver. He was a priest of the highest order and she had landed in an all-male monastery. Giving her new runes made her recovery even more remarkable and their budding relationship even more difficult to ignore. Once they give in to the sexual feelings for each other, Draikis forgoing his vow of celibacy, the story holds a lot of hot lovemaking scenes. One woman against all those male adversaries and she is smarter than them all! Wonderful addition to the series, highly recommended. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The ninth book in this series and they just keep getting better and better.
The Priest’s Temptation is the story of Ella a human abducted from Earth who along with other captives is injured when the Raxxian vessel she is on crashes.
This will begin another chapter in her life after she is rescued and healed of her injuries by Draikis a priest belonging to the Novarian Brotherhood whose scared obligation now was to protect the life he had saved.
This was another nicely written narrative in the Infala storyline that was entertaining, filled with intrigue, adventure, forbidden love, danger, vibrant characters, wonderful world building, and of course those Infala runes tying two fated mates together!

This is still well written. It just didn't stir anything in me. I didn't like Ella. She lied and kept up the lies even when Drained told her everything about himself. Even with her feelings for him, she held her tongue. Also, she was disrespectful to the order. How do you think its ok to walk into areas where males gather. She was into a dining area and wonders why the hostility. Guess it never occurred to her why Draikis didn't take her to certain places and he bought her his meals. Asking questions before indulging would have helped her. Nothing about her drew me to her. But it was her intelligence that saved her and Draikis' relationship. It was interesting reading how Drained feelings evolved and how he decided to give in. The two are good together.
So although this didn't pull me in, its well-written and should be given a read.
This was a fairly good read. Annoyingly, it is 9th in a series and the first one I read. It was sweet, but written in such a way (I can’t put my finger on exactly why) that I was constantly aware that it was a story. It didn’t feel real to me. So, I felt no tension in the tense moments, and was less invested in the characters. It was also incredibly predictable, even without the previous 8 in series to help me.
However, it was sweet and the world building was good. The characters were good, even though I felt little connection with them. There was probably more description of alien genitalia than strictly necessary, with a lot of repetition of the attributes, and not enough description of how it actually felt, but that might just be me. Overall it was good, but I felt it could have been better.
This is the first of this series I’m reading but I am definitely searching out the rest as soon as I finish this review!!!!
Kira takes alien adventure, romance, alien abduction and the idea of fated mates with an alien twist and completely blows it out of the water with this one!!!!
It’s sweet, and rich with details but not overly confusing, there’s some wonderful slow burn romance but when they succumb….woooohoooo…. Hold on to your hats🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍😍😍
I absolutely loved Draikis and Ella’s connection, a new friends to lovers type development. I think one of my favorite parts of this is Ella’s big beautiful brain getting to save the day!!!

Amazing. A definite must read for anyone new to the series or just picking up this book. If you're looking for a night in shining armor, damsel in distress, blooming romance, high heat and spicy scenes, and a bit of secrecy… well this is your book. I could not put it down!
Ella and Draikris aren't your typically start crossed lovers. How could they be when one is essentially a fugitive recovering from a traumatic event, while the other is a loyal faithful celibate priest! Oh boy do they have everything against them, yet something is working in their favor… or is it! I definitely recommend this book. I can't wait to read the next one!!!

This is book 9 in the Mark of the Infala series. Kira Quinn has created a whole system and alien beings with this series. It is always a joy to see what we will encounter each book. It is almost like being the adventures exploring the unknown in space. Her characters are creative and realistic enough to relate too. The runes and Infala through all of the stories is a great tie in and something a lot of people dream about. The thing that tells you your one is here. Draikis and Ella are fun and steamy. I love their interaction and the growth over time of their feelings. Her translation of their rules and how she finds her place in his world is a great touch. Another great read.
This is another fab addition to the series and I loved seeing the connection grow between human crash survivor, Ella, and Draikis, a priest belonging to the Novarian Brotherhood. Expect to get caught up in the adventure, intrigue, danger, entertaining plot, Rune twist and hot spice as they work their way to a fab HEA. Definitely engaging and I'm looking forward to more books set in this world :D
I love the Infala series—each storyline is truly unique, and this one was no exception. At the beginning, I wasn’t sure where the author was going with it. I mean, we’re talking about priests with blocked infala and all that, so I was curious how she would pull it together. But she did a magnificent job weaving every element into a beautifully satisfying ending. I cannot wait to read the next book!

I thought Infala was a pretty solid story. The plot kept me interested, though there were a couple of parts that felt a little slow for me personally. Still, the ending was really satisfying and I liked how the themes were handled. Definitely worth a read if you want something with more depth than your average book.

So good! Ella and Draikis were so much fun to read about. Draikis, the priest, knew Ella was special but didn’t know why. Ella, a kidnapped human who crashed into Draikis’s sect, knew Draikis was special but didn’t know why. Strong connection. Great twist with what her runes could do. Super hot spice as well. I loved it. The Infala series keeps me coming back!

Infala: The Priest's Temptation Book 9 in the Mark of the Infala series by Kira Quinn is a well-written addition in this series. Ella, a sassy human and Draikris, a celibate priest make a sweet if surprising couple and their story is compelling and couldn't put it down!! Highly recommend!

Ella and Draikis story is a great addition to this series though quite unusual. How could a priest and a badly injured earth woman connect on an alien planet. Only the runes know. An entertaining and sensual read.
This was boring and the dialogue just wasn’t there. There were times it seemed like the FMC was thinking, then the MMC, then like there was a narrator with no transition. Needs some good editing and polishing.
The journey this FMC has been on is inspiring and sad at the same time. I especially liked all the reading she does. And how she handles certain priests.
