Wicked Games #2

Nothing to Hide

Rate this book
Under the quiet stillness of Corvus College, where ravens flock, and the grounds themselves whisper, Mia, Parker, and Leo’s lives are irrevocably changed.

Parker

Was it my grand plan to be a member of an elite secret society my senior year of college? No. But you don’t choose Crimson Veil, Crimson Veil chooses you. I knew it was a possibility, but when no one came for me the last three years, I thought I was free and clear of this commitment. Even if there’s a part of me that wants to know more about where I came from.

It’s been nearly impossible to hide it from my best friend, Asher, but lucky for me, he’s been preoccupied with the jock who’s made our lives miserable for the last three years. Best of luck to Asher. I’ve got bigger issues to worry about.

Like how I got wrapped up in Crimson Veil with the on-again, off-again boyfriend of the girl I’m madly in love with, who I also happen to have a crush on, standing next to me as the trials begin.

My senior year was supposed to be easy, fun, a final race to the finish line before real life begins.

But one thing I’ve learned in my years at Corvus College is the school has plans of its own, and there’s nothing you can do to hide from it.

Nothing to Hide is book two in the interconnected Wicked Games series set at the elite, invite-only Corvus College. You can expect: a why choose romance, rivals to lovers, forced proximity, secret society, dark academia vibes, a little bit of truth or dare, and a whole lot of spice. Nothing to Hide can be read as a standalone. Welcome to Corvus College.

Ugh I hate rating so low because Jenn is one of my favorite authors and I absolutely love the first book in this series.

This one felt rushed. I felt like it was almost too easy and things weren't super fleshed out between the characters or the trials. I just wanted more. I wanted some angst, some pining. I like books when things are easy but this one just didn't hit the mark for me.

First off- Jenn’s books are usually pretty solid romances. With hot sex. The book has the hot sex, threesomes and all. But there is essentially zero plot. The whole book is hot sex. Which was nicely written, but I need at least kind of a plot. Sorry Jenn. Just didn’t hit home for me this time!

My Thoughts: I loved being back in Corvus College. Mia is torn between wanting both Parker and Leo. Unfortunately, they are both rivals, but also want Mia. This was a great suspenseful spicy read. That ending has me wanting more. I can't wait for the next book.

Finished in one sitting. This book should've just been MM.

I rarely trust authors to write a well developed poly relationship, and this book confirms why. The characters were one dimensional, and their connections felt shallow, leaving the throuple dynamics flat.
There was zero plot, just sex. And that's fine, because the author advertises her novellas as spicy fun. However, that didn't stop Silas and Asher's book from having high spice alongside fleshed out characters. Adding a third person sacrificed precious page time. If this had just focused on Parker and Leo, it would have been much stronger and tighter.
Pivoting to MMF also feels incredibly jarring for the MM readers who built the audience and made the first book a success. MM readers are
here for the men and their romantic relationship to one another, so to add a female character to the dynamic is a choice. I'm not saying Jenn needs to bow down to the wants of readers. No, absolutely not. No one is entitled to dictate what an author should write. But to follow a MM book with a MMF dynamic alienates the core MM fanbase that was already there from the first book. This would've been a perfect MM trilogy. But no, there is a MMF book sandwich between the two MM books. Many MM readers will likely just pretend this is an MM Dark Academia duology and ignore the second books existence. That's what I'm going to do.

Standing on the fact that I already knew going into this, was that this should’ve been an MM. Like of course, I love how much those two love Mia but their connection just felt more real because we got to see them connect a little, whereas the relationship and love was already present with Mia individually. ALSO, reading a book with a FMC for the first time in a while reminded me why I stopped. I’d really like to not hear the word “folds” ever again in my life or any of the variations authors come up with for female genitalia like I cannot!! 😅

This author REALLY could’ve gone with more development and a longer book. Sometimes rushed is fine, but I wish we got more from Leo and Parker’s relationship development because it went from, “I don’t want to share” (mainly on Leo’s end) to “I want to share because it makes Mia happy” and then suddenly the boys are hopelessly in love and devoted to one another. Like we kind of missed out on really watching them fall in love because the story was just so rushed.

BUT, that being said, the moments between them actually had me emotional and shedding a few tears!!! Their connection first solidified when they confessed things in the glory hole but when they FINALLY came together when isolated together I was loving it so bad and wishing we got more of them separately. Like yes we know how down bad they are for Mia, I just wanted them being down bad just for each other more 🤣🤣 Absolutely love the premise of Crimson Veil being a secret society built upon love. The way Parker and Leo went through the initiation together showed what happens when people love and work through things together. That above all, choosing each other is what matters most 🥹

Very interested to find out who the couple is for book 3. Why am I lowkey hoping it’s between a professor/current member of the veil and a student 😆 I guess we’ll find out soon!

— quotes

“The worst part about this situation isn’t that I can’t have Mia all to myself, it’s that I’m also very fucking attracted to Leo Ashcroft.”

“Parker is considerate and accepting, only wanting the best for everyone around him, regardless of what that means for himself. And Leo, god, Leo has the most tender soul I’ve ever met, and he keeps it so protected, locked up tight, and I wish more than anything he could embrace it out in the open. I’m so madly in love with them that it feels borderline painful.”

“He’s so handsome, I’ve always thought so, but the more I’ve gotten to know little pieces of him, the more I want him.”

“I’m falling for Parker. I have been. I know I want a relationship with Mia and him. A real one. Where we’re all together. I just need to let go and give into this single moment and figure out the rest as I’m faced with it. Fuck it. Then I’m kissing him.”

“Kissing Parker is transcendent, and if I had any doubts before this moment, they’ve been completely erased.”

“He doesn’t have any idea how much his dirty talk affects me on a deep, primal level. He wants my head empty? I’m already there. So instead of words, I fucking whimper.” (THE WHIMPERRRR😭)

“He’s fucking wrecking me. Destroying me in the best possible way.”

“But when we break apart, and his forehead falls to rest on my own, and I slide my hand up his chest and settle over his rapidly thumping heart, I know without a doubt that I’ve fallen in love with him.”

“Leo looks at me, blinking slowly, the black strands of his hair falling over his forehead, eyes darting all over my face, and I can say with utmost certainty that I’ve only ever been looked at like this by one other person.” (I AM EMO!!)

“I came to Corvus to find something I felt called to search for. But maybe it had nothing to do with my birth parents and blood at all. Maybe it was this. I’ve found my missing piece. Now I just need to make him mine so the three of us can be together.”

“You and Mia are so alike. You two will never know a day without praise and affection for as long as I’m breathing.”

“You feel so good, fuck, do you have any idea how long I’ve wanted this? Wanted you just like this?” — “Always. Since the moment you captured Mia’s attention, you stole mine, too. Fuck, Leo, don’t you get it? It was always supposed to be us three. Always.” (😭😭)

“I was actually thinking about how I can’t give this up. You, her, all of us together. Fuck hiding, we’re going to have to figure out how to make this work. Dare you to make us yours, Parker.” — “Dare accepted.”

“Love is meant to be shared, to be given and received, and knowing that they found something more with each other is the best gift.”

“Everything in my life has led me to this moment, to them. These two incredible humans are all that matters in the world. They’re the air that I breathe, the reason my heart beats, they’re the sun that rises each day, and the moon that graces us each night. Mia is my storm, and Leo is my safe harbor. I need both to survive.”

“It’s so much more than sexual. It’s different than what I have with you, but just as fucking good and important.” — “I kiss him like he’s my lifeline, letting him know with my body how happy and relieved his answer just made me.”

“Life seems to come to a standstill for a split moment while I accept that I’m madly, insanely, ridiculously in love with both of them. That everything I ever could have wanted is between these four walls right now.”

“We were all supposed to be together. It was always supposed to be the three of us who found love together. I don’t think I could be happier that not only did I find love with each of you, but that you found it with each other as well.”

“Maybe I’m the insane one here, but I thought it was obvious. I love you. That comes with a bunch of other shit. Like loyalty, benefit of the doubt, and not letting outside noise dictate my reactions when I have access to the source.”

“My eyes flick to Parker. When he falls, he falls hard, and I can tell how in love he is with Leo. He’s wearing the same enamored, obsessed expression that he does when he looks at me.”

“Every single step we’ve taken, every situation that we’ve been put in, we’ve ended up together. We’ve chosen each other, every time, unable to fight the pull to do anything else. Hate divides, but love, it conquers.”

“Because I choose you. Both of you. In this lifetime, and whatever comes next. I choose you in everything, always. There’s nothing to hide. I love you.” — “I love you, Parker.”

“This wasn’t just sex. Or fucking. Or hell, making love. This was a life-changing, transcendent experience between three souls that chose each other. In this life and the next.”

“We’re really doing this. No more holding back. There’s nothing to hide anymore. It’s us against the world.”

ARC Review of Nothing To Hide Book 2 in the Wicked Games Series by Jenn Plummer. This book is part of an interconnected series but can definitely be read as a standalone. It take place during the same timeline as Nothing To Fear. I loved this book it’s a 5 star read for me. I absolutely devoured it. This is an extremely good why choose and dark academia romance. It is one of my favorite why choose romances. I love the subplot of finding out more about the founders of Corvus College and the secrets surrounding them and the school. I love the gothic atmosphere of Corvus College and how the school feels alive. I love the tension, secrets, and mystery in this book. I also love all the heat this book is a 5 alarm 5 and I am here for it. This is Mia, Parker, and Leo’s story. I absolutely love Parker and his dominant, obsessive personality and his filthy mouth. I love Mia and how she’s completely herself. I love Leo and hate that he feels he has to hide who he is because of what his family wants but love that Mia and Parker accept him for who he is. I love how they are all different put all fit together like a perfect puzzle. I love the relationship and chemistry between the 3 of them and how they all truly love and care for each other and how that’s all that matters not what society thinks or anyone else thinks the only thing that matters is their love and loyalty for one another. This is a MMF, very spicy, taboo, slow burn between the 2 MMC’S, dark academia, rivals to lovers, opposites attract, forced proximity, secret society, why choose romance. Mia Thomas, Parker Kingsford and Leo Ashcroft are all Seniors at Corvus College an elite invite only college. Mia is in love with both Parker and Leo but can’t choose between them so she goes back and forth between dating them both. Parker and Leo are both in love with Mia but Parker also has a crush on Leo. Parker and Leo are rivals and complete opposites who can’t stop fighting over Mia. Together Parker and Leo are  perfect for Mia but Leo does not want to share. Mia is desperate to keep them both but doesn’t see how. Mia reaches a breaking point with the constant back and forth and they decide to share her together. Parker and Leo are both chosen to try out to be in Crimson Veil a secret society on campus. Parker and Leo keep getting thrown together in challenges and can’t deny the attraction and tension between them. The more they are forced together the more they realize there’s more to each other than they thought. I love watching Leo and Parker both love Mia and then finally realizing they both also love each other and the three can be in one big happy relationship. I definitely recommend this book.

4 Spices🌶️

I am fully aware of Jenn's capability, bringing all the spice that makes me blush and pleased. But holy smokes, this book is on another level of naughty and dirty, and I loved everything about it! So read it at your own risk if you prefer to read this in public.
The tension, the mystery, the spice, and the compelling characters. I'm happy to have spent time in Corvus College and will be back soon for the first book in the series.

Nothing to Hide is the second book in the Wicked Games series that explores the themes of youth, sexuality, and loyalty while breaking societal norms. Set in the prestigious yet mysterious Corvus College, the story centers on Mia Thomas, Parker Kingsford, and Leo Ashcroft as they venture into their senior year packed with self-discoveries, love, and emotional growth.

Jenn has written a story that defies conventional storytelling norms and presents an honest, unflinching depiction of youthful love, sexual independence, and self-acceptance.
The three characters' passionate relationship explores the intricacies of connection and the boundaries of intimacy, blurring the distinctions between rivalry, love, and friendship.
Mia is represented as a catalyst for change in the men's lives; Leo's inner conflicts concerning his sexuality and gradual emotional awakening indicate a man tugged between his personal desires and his familial expectations, and Parker's strength and tenderness make the dynamic between the three feel incredibly real.

Nothing to Hide is really about openness. Love is portrayed as clarity—the epiphany of who makes you feel completely alive—rather than as display. The story steers clear of dramatization in favor of strength, honesty, and the subtle revolution of choosing authenticity over expectations.

Receiving a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book was an honour, and I'm presenting my candid opinion based on my own experience. I am eternally grateful to Jenn Plummer for entrusting me with the opportunity to read this book beforehand.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

It was so great to be back at Corvus College, this time to see Parker, Mia and Leo story! This MMF novella is low angst, high spice and set in gothic academia vibes. Mia has been hopelessly drawn to and torn between two men since starting at the college and has been taking turns dating them. Leo is the introverted artist that brings out her sweet side, but is also incredibly possessive of her. Parker is broodier, confident, brings out her wild side and is completely obsessed with not only Mia, but Leo as well.

I loved the dynamic created by Parker and Leo falling in love with a girl torn between them. They start off the novella with so much animosity, feeling the need to claim Mia as their own, but soon they agree to a sharing arrangement that leads to a whole new world of possibilities for them.

You know I LOVE early spice in a book and this one definitely hits the mark with a scorching prologue! 🔥 If you are a fan of MMF, swords-crossing, sharing is caring, the spicy scenes in this one will check off every box. Jenn really didn’t hold back with these three and it was a lot of fun.

There is also a sub plot that continues on from Nothing To Fear, where Leo and Parker are both initiated into a series of trials for the Crimson Veil secret society at Corvus College. I enjoyed the tie back to the dark academia, spooky vibes of the first book, even if this novella was much more focused on the relationship evolution between Mia, Parker & Leo.

🖤 Dark Academia Setting
🐦‍⬛ Why Choose (MMF)
🖤 Forced Proximity (the boys even get stuck together)
🐦‍⬛ Secret Society
🖤 So many spicy micro tropes!

Thank you so much to Jenn for the arc 🫶🏻

TW - adoption (mentioned), alcohol consumption, Peeping Tom, death, light stalking, cheating (among the MCs before they become a throuple), vomit

CW - public play, light biting, hand necklace, DP, DVP

Tropes - possessive, obsessed, dark academia, secret relationship, truth or dare, why choose, secret society

Representation - polyam - MMF, queer rep, demi rep (implied), bi rep

I’m giving this a low 3 because it really didn’t hit the way I thought it would.

I really really enjoyed Nothing to Fear but this one really didn’t hit the spot for me. The characters felt flat and underdeveloped and story almost struggled to be pieced together. They were mostly just fucking with a few trials woven in and, it’s fine, I was just expecting so much more.

Mia (FMC) was the least developed character and almost felt like a mechanism for this to be MMF. For me, her only purpose in this book was to make it MMF and act as a conduit between Leo (MMC) and Parker (MMC). It was so weird to me; she was defo done a disservice.

ARC Review
Jenn what do you put in this?! I loved this so much, this is book 2 in the Wicked Games series and being back at Corvus College came with all the mysterious and slightly gothic vibes, delivering all that delicious dark academia goodness.
This story follows Leo, Parker, and Mia, three people who genuinely could not have been more perfect for each other if they tried. At the start, Mia finds herself torn between Leo and Parker, loving them both deeply and bouncing between the two as she struggles with impossible feelings and impossible choices. Because here’s the thing… Leo and Parker love Mia too. Completely. Fully. The kind of love where all they want is for her to be happy, and if that means sharing her, then there’s no hesitation. BUT… did I mention Leo and Parker are also attracted to each other? While Leo is a little more hesitant and nervous at first, the chemistry between them slowly unfolds into something so beautiful, tender, and real. Watching the bond between all three of them grow felt seamless.
The three of them together were flawless. Was I a little jealous of Mia? Of course. I’m only human, but I was also fully sat there cheering her on like “get it girl” because she is living the dream. One of my absolute favourite parts was seeing Leo slowly loosen up and free himself from the weight of his family’s expectations and shackles. Watching him step into himself with the quiet strength, patience, and unwavering support from both Parker and Mia was genuinely beautiful. His growth hit me right in the feelings.
And Parker, well this man has all the the confidence, the care, the quiet strength… and the BDE!!! Daddy parker has ALL the delicious Dom energy that has Mia and Leo being his very good boy and girl, I swear the spice in this was spicing and I never wanted it to end.

I want more!

From the moment I cracked open Nothing to Fear, I knew I was going to need more from this world and Jenn absolutely delivered with this latest installment. That said, I’m still greedy for more. Thank goodness there’s a third book coming because I’m not ready to leave Corvus College behind.

Like any great dark academia, Corvus College has its own secret society - the Crimson Veil. Founded by the school’s original founders, the Veil invites their descendants to pledge their loyalty, complete a series of trials, and carry on its traditions. That’s where Parker, Leo, and Mia come in.

Parker and Leo are both hopelessly in love with Mia, and she can’t imagine choosing between them. While they’re navigating their complicated feelings, they’re also forced to work together to survive the Veil’s trials after Mia asks them to put their rivalry aside.

But it’s not just secrets they uncover. Amid the challenges and chaos, Parker and Leo begin to realize that the feelings they’ve been trying to ignore for each other are impossible to deny. What starts as attraction grows into something deeper, creating a powerful connection between all three of them. Together, they’ll face their personal demons, the dangers of the Crimson Veil, and whatever else Corvus College has waiting for them.

This spicy little read is book two in the Wicked Games series. While it can technically be read as a standalone, I highly recommend starting with Nothing to Fear. You won’t regret it!

Welcome Back to Corvus College where the Ravens Flock

Where do you start with Nothing to Hide by Jenn Plummer, book two of the Wicked Games series? I mean, you could start with the amount of spice that happens right off the bat! And trust me, the spice is there tenfold!

The rivals to lovers between Leo and Parker with a side of Mia thrown between the two of them will have you turning the pages!

In Nothing to Hide, you are introduced to Mia who is in love with her current boyfriend, Leo, but also in love with her former boyfriend, Parker, who she left for Leo. But here is the problem, Leo and Parker can barely stand each other. Always the enemy, the competition who is vying after Mia’s heart, time, soul, and more! But when they have to compete in the trials for the secret society of the Crimson Veil, Mia wants them to work together so they can BOTH make it!

With no other choice but to find a way to please the one they both love, they find a way to work together during the trials and ultimately work together to both have a place in Mia’s heart. But who were they kidding when they had to spend so much time together, they work their way into each other’s heart at the same time!

This novella will have you wanting to turn the pages and will keep you entertained from start to finish! And if you have read any of Jenn Plummer’s previous books, you will enjoy a few easter eggs that are within the book!

I received this book as an ARC and provided a review willingly.

Book 2 in the Wicked Games series by Jenn Plummer

Mia, you lucky, lucky girl. Imagine falling in love with not just one but two of the most beautiful souls. Mia is so torn between her feelings for Leo and Parker and struggles to untangle her emotions from either one just wishing she didn't have to give up on either one of her loves.

Parker is absolutely obsessed with Mia in the best ways and isn't willing to give up his girl. Leo is our possessive MMC and he does not want to share Mia with anyone, least of all her annoying ex, Parker.

When the secret society of Corvus College, Crimson Veil invites both Parker and Leo into their initation trials family secrets and hidden emotions are uncovered that will change everything.

This is a spicy why chose read with a gothic secret society undercurrent, the characters are written really well, (Parker was my favourite!) and it's such addictive reading I did this book in one sitting.

I think this could be read as a standalone but it is interconnected with book one, Nothing To Fear and to avoid any spoilers from that book I'd recommend reading them in order (plus Silas and Asher's story is so hot, they are brilliant).

Back at Corvus College, this story follows Parker and Leo.

Leo is dating Mia, who also happens to be Parker’s on-again, off-again ex. Wanting the best of both worlds, Mia suggests that the two boys share her.

At the same time, Parker and Leo are destined to join the Crimson Veil, the college’s secret society, thanks to their bloodlines. As they face the society’s trials, they’re forced to spend more and more time alone together, and the chemistry between them becomes impossible to ignore.

But there’s something strange at work within Corvus College. It’s almost as if the college itself is determined to bring all three of them together.

Oh my, this book is packed with everything I love. I read it in just a few hours because I was completely hooked from the start.

The chemistry between all three characters was off the charts. Their connection is intense, emotional, all consuming, and impossible to look away from. The tension was so strong I thought my Kindle might overheat!

At its heart, this is a beautiful story about love, trust, and finding where you belong. It’s full of yearning, intensity, and emotion, but also shows the deep trust that grows between the characters. I absolutely loved it.

I absolutely devoured this book. Heat, chemistry, spice, and delicious tension from beginning to end—this story had everything I needed and then some.

Add in a secret society filled with its own secrets, lies, and hidden agendas, and I was completely hooked. Every chapter pulled me deeper into the story, and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.

Mia, Parker, and Leo were exactly what I needed to break out of a reading slump. Their dynamic was addictive, and I found myself completely invested in all three of them. Why choose will always do it for me, and Parker and Leo prove exactly why. They're complete opposites, yet together they create the perfect balance.

And let's be honest—possessive and obsessive MMCs done right are hard to resist. Parker and Leo brought their own unique energy to the relationship, and I loved every second of it.

The chemistry was off the charts, the tension was perfectly built, and the mystery surrounding the secret society kept me guessing. This was one of those books that completely consumed my attention and reminded me why I love reading so much.

If you're looking for a steamy why choose romance packed with secrets, suspense, and unforgettable characters, Nothing to Hide needs to be on your TBR.

Jenn Plummer has once again decided to feed my obsession and remind me why she lives permanently on my must‑read list. Nothing to Hide continues her tradition of delivering addictive, emotionally tangled stories that grab you by the throat and whisper “one more chapter” until suddenly it’s 3AM and you’re feral and you just can’t put it down.

The secret‑society thread gets richer here — darker, more gothic, more what exactly are these people hiding and why am I loving it so much? The atmosphere is thick with tension and shadowy intrigue, and it gives the whole book this deliciously eerie undertone that makes every reveal hit harder.

And then there’s Mia, Parker, and Leo — the holy trinity of longing and combustible chemistry. They’re fire together. Actual fire. Mia’s heart being torn between them doesn’t feel like drama for drama’s sake; it feels earned. Parker and Leo are opposites in every possible way, yet each fills a different space in her life, her desires, her identity. And the way they complement not just her but each other? That’s the kind of dynamic that makes you want to annotate your Kindle, like a lot.

A standout installment that proves, once again, that Jenn Plummer doesn’t miss.

𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡, 𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚, 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙡. 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙬𝙤.- Mia

I really enjoyed the dark academia setting and the plot with the secret society! You get a glimpse at Parker and Leo’s background and their characters to have development. I wish we knew more about Mia. The MMF dynamic developed naturally and i really enjoyed the MM part where they give in and discover just how right they are together. (This book leans more heavy on the mm which I am totally here for)

𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙪𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙬, 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙚, 𝙄 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙄’𝙢 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙝𝙞𝙢. 𝙃𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡. 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙖. -Leo

The spice and chemistry is explosive!! 🔥🥵 MF, MM and MMF scenes!

Loyalty and Love win out in the end! I enjoyed this book and would recommend if you enjoy a spicy who choose.

ARC Review of Nothing to Hide by @authorjennplummer

Love love love!! 🖤 After Nothing to Fear, I was soooo curious about Parker, Leo, and Mia because clearly some shit was goin on 👀 I’m so happy they got their story and I loved being back on Corvus’ eerie campus. This story had some fun twists and I really liked that the plot/mystery elements was focused on different secrets on campus and in our MCs lives, it just kept the story going from book 1 in a different direction. Also loved seeing Silas and Asher pop up 🥹 I always say this but poly romances are so lovely because they show how love can bring people together even in chaos. Mia was such a sweetheart and she didn’t think she could have it all 😭 Parker was definitely a little bit of an instigator but you know both Leo and Mia ate that shit up 😂 and Leo, ugh a tortured artist I love!! Reading him finally give in to his feelings was the best. Nothing to Hide is out today! It’s book 2 in the Wicked Games series and it’s a lovely read 🖤

This book follows Leo, Parker, and Mia. The three of them are torn by their attraction to one another. With the challenges they must face, are they truly ready to confront the reality of their relationship?

This novella is a why-choose romance where each chapter delivers both mystery and spice at the same time. With Jenn’s signature writing style, the spicy scenes are given an artistic flavor that leaves readers with vivid imagery. Rather than relying on classic scenarios, the story presents unique situations that make each scene feel fresh and distinctive.

The first chapter immediately sets the tone for how the story will unfold. However, the plot remains unpredictable as it introduces challenges, tension, and emotional games along the way. It also gives space for the characters’ individuality to develop, allowing readers to see their journey toward discovering who they truly are.

If you enjoy spicy romance with a dark academia backdrop, this novella might interest you.

What would you do to make sure the pieces that makes you feel complete never have to leave?

Nothing to Hide is the latest novel in the Wicked Games Series, and I can’t say enough about how good and special it is.

Parker, Leo, and Mia’s lives are connected, but they never knew how deep that could run. When you add in a college with ancient history, dark rumors, and a secret society; connections can be a distraction or they can mean everything.

Nothing to Hide is a book that is as clear as its title. When it comes to love, don’t hide. From the first page to the last, Plummer brings us an exciting story full or mystery, tension, heat, and love. The chemistry and heat is both slow and fast, the tension is palpable, and the mystery and secrets will keep you turning pages.

Parker, Leo, and Mia’s story ultimately send a beautiful message about love, loyalty, and freedom. Come back to Corvus College and see why you have nothing to fear and nothing to hide.

I love everything this author writes! This book draws you in right at the beginning and was a super fast read. I thoroughly enjoy that Jenn gives us anticipation but not really angst. It never takes long for characters to embrace their true feelings. That and the soul deep, life altering connection the characters always have are my favorite things about her writing.

The beginning of this storyline is happening simultaneously to book 1, but once the characters make an appearance and overlap it is after the events of book one concludes. So I do suggest reading in order or just know that book two will spoil book one if not.

The setting of this book is one of my favorite things about this series. The dark garlic vibes are so fun and there’s always this feeling the campus is a leaving breathing thing that influences the students or the outcome of things. This book was spice forward as their relationship and navigating it was a main plot line. I was definitely not mad about it!

One of my favorites to date from Jenn and can’t wait for book 3!!

Nothing To Hide
(Book 2 in Wicked Games Series)
By: Jenn Plummer

The worst part about this situation isn’t that I can’t have Mia all to myself, it’s that I’m also very f***ing attracted to Leo Ashcroft.

I want my girl back.
But I want her boyfriend, too.

“She’ll never just be with you! Just like she’ll never just be with me. Get the f*** over it.”

Well hello Mia, Parker, and Leo!! You three are so freaking hot! Their story is a quick paced, very spicy story about leaving behind legacies and finding your happiness. About finding love, no matter what that love may look like and as long as you have that love, others opinions do not matter.

*ARC REVIEW*

Nothing to Hide is book 2 in the Wicked Games series. We are headed back to Corvus College to follow Parker, Leo, and Mia on their journey to find out who they are, where they come from, what they want out of life, and maybe find a special kind of love in the process.

This book follows along with the timeline of book one almost simultaneously. I happened to be listening to the Audiobook of book one while I was reading this, so it was a nice immersive experience. I really loved this story. Seeing Parker and Leo come together for Mia and then fall for each other, was so beautiful! I loved how their story was written. I felt the love and passion between them as I read the book. The ending was what really made it for me. The crimson veil acceptance letter, the ending pulled at my heartstrings.

4.5⭐

This was such an addicting, quick and spicy read.

Mia’s heart is torn between the two loves of her lives, Parker and Leo, but she can only have one of them. When Parker and Leo both end up in trials for an elite secret society, they’re forced to spend time together and soon discover a strong connection between the two of them.

I’ve loved everything I’ve read from Jenn, and this novella was no exception. Once I started it I didn’t want to put it down. The tension between Parker and Leo was great, and when they finally gave in, it was so hoooot!

The length of the novella was perfect, but I could easily have read another hundred pages with these characters!

If you’re looking for a spicy, why choose/MMF romance with a dark academia setting, look no further.
