3.75stars- SNOWFLAKES AND BLOODSTAINS is the second instalment in Kristine Allens’ contemporary, adult RUSSIAN BRATVA dark, romance duet, a part of the multi-authored 25 Days of Christmas: Bikers and Mobsters. This is the continuing story of thirty eight year old Russian mobster Maksim Sokolov, and twenty-sever year old bartender Sofia Rodriguez’ story line. SNOWFLAKES AND BLOODSTAINS should not be read as a stand alone as is picks up after the cliff hanger and events of book one BROOMSTICKS AND BLOODSTAINS.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Maksim and Sofia) and third person (The Watcher) SNOWFLAKES AND BLOODSTAINS picks up after the events of book one BROOMSTICKS AND BLOODSTAINS in which Sofia had been targeted for assassination but instead, her would-be assassin Maksim Sokolov, fell in love. Life is about to take an unexpected turn, and in the ensuing days and weeks, our heroine becomes the target of jealousy and betrayal.

The world building continues to focuses on the possibility of a crime world war between the Russian Bratva and the Armenian mob but not all is as it appears to be, and betrayal from within threatens any chance of happiness for our story line couple.

The relationship between Maksim and Sofia is one of growing love. Sofia’s unexpected news forces Maksim to become over protective, and in doing so, brings in for military operative Archer who is willing to die to protect his charge. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

Once again we are introduced to several members of the Russian Bratva and the Armenian mob- head of the local Bratva Boris Volkov; Arman ; Sofia’s best friend Isabella; Bodyguard Archer; Russian Brotherhood assassins and Maksim’s friends Dim, and Konstantin Makarov.

SNOWFLAKES AND BLOODSTAINS is a fast paced, quick read; a novella length story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, acceptance and love. The premise is edgy and dramatic but many of the chapters overlap in the same timeline. The characters are feisty, dynamic and sometimes questionable; the romance is spicy and sexy.

I enjoyed this quick wrap up of Sofia and Maksim’s story. I liked that the questions from the first story were answered in this one. I also enjoyed seeing Sofia and Maksim again and getting to meet Archer. He was a rather intriguing character.

This had a little bit of mystery and quite a bit of suspense. I really liked that Sofia didn't back down to all the chaos she was thrown into. I also still appreciated Maksim’s protective streak.

I loved these characters and wish their story had been a little longer. It might be a better idea to read them back to back as a little time has passed since I read the first book, Broomsticks and Bloodstains, so this did feel a tiny bit disjointed. Overall an interesting story with fun characters. I would recommend it!

Snowflakes and Bloodstains picks up right where we were left in Broomsticks and Bloodstains: diving back into Sofia and Maskim along with the mysterious Watcher. It was a perfect second half to finish off their story.

Things are getting heated for Maksim and he finds himself pulled in different directions- but one thing is for certain: he will do anything to protect Sofia. Sofia also has proven that she's no wall flower and not one to back away when things get tough. Both of them will do anything for the ones they love and it shows in this book. Despite things that might be thrown at them, they are determined to fight and come out on top.

Can't wait to see what comes next from Kristine Allen!

I loved this book. Snowflakes and Bloodstains is dark, intense, and full of the kind of romance that hurts so good. Maksim is a true anti-hero, he is dangerous, loyal, and absolutely unhinged when it comes to protecting Sofia. Once she’s pregnant with his baby, there’s nothing he won’t do to keep her safe, and that devotion had me hooked.

The Bratva ties add real tension, the romance is passionate and emotional, and the loyalty runs deep. Sofia and Maksim’s connection feels raw and real, even in the middle of chaos and bloodshed.

If you love dark romance, protective anti-heroes, and ride-or-die love stories, this one is definitely worth the read.

Wow,wow...Just wow!
This is the perfect conclusion to Maksim's and Sofia's story and I was literally glued to my seat...if you thought the first part was good,then you WILL NOT be disappointed!
Sofia is a strong woman whose love for Maksim was endless,but it was lovely to follow with her,how she came to the conclusion that she was still this resilient enigma,perfect for her Bratva enforcer.
Maksim again,was the epitome of protection for his family and everyone around him,and events arose which made it grow tenfold...the twists and turns made my head spin,it is full of darkness and light,so much love for one another...it was utter perfection!

Sofia is a lot stronger than we knew. While she didn't want to have to accept certain things, she didn't allow those things to stop her. She proved how tough she is, and that she will do anything for the man she loves. It's the same for Maksim. His world is Sofia. His purpose in life now is to make sure she's safe. These two will do everything in their power for the other and when everything starts to unravel, and they're tested, they both make sure they're going to come out on top.

This is book two in the Russian Bratva duet, and wow, we’re thrown straight back into the dangerous, addictive world of Maksim and Sofia, where the tension is thicker, the secrets are darker, and the stakes are high.

The twists hit fast and ruthless, keeping me constantly second-guessing everything and everyone. There’s chaos, raw emotion, and just enough heat to make things sizzle.

It’s gritty, intense, and impossible to put down, this book had me completely hooked from start to finish.

when things get heated up Maksim has 2 find out who's behind it and stop it. when things keep on going on with Sophia, he will do anything 2 protect her. but when things don't work out as planned they have 2 find out who's watching them and put a end 2 it. when deceit comes there's no hiding it after it's found. it's made a example of but at what cost? with the help of 1 of his friends 2 protect Sophia while he does his investigation will come with sum unexpected results!! i liked it alot.

What a great story!! I absolutely love Sofia and Maksim 's love story. Sofia was forced into a situation most couldn't handle. Maksim tried to protect her and their unborn child in the end Sofia and Maksim protected each other and their child. A bite intense and dark, with a few laughs, and definitely worth the read. Can be read alone, but I suggest reading Broomstick and bloodstains first Its so worth the read.

Snowflakes And Bloodstains is book 2 in the Russian Bratva duet and brings us back to Maksim, Sofia and the mysterious Watcher. Things ramp up in this one and the twists and turns get even more gritty. Nothing is as it seems. Snowflakes And Bloodstains is full of surprises, drama and chaos and kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end.

This author knocked it out of the park with the second half of this fantastic book. Maksim and Sofia are amazing. These two characters are well developed. They have evolved and grown in this last part of their story so much. Loved the action, suspense, twists and turns. Absolutely recommend reading.

This was great! I loved how Sofia grew stronger throughout the story. Constantly showing Maksim that she was willing to stand and fight with him. And boy did she! I do wish Boris got more of what was coming to him but Sofia handled it well. And the ending leaves you feeling satisfied but leaves the door open for possibilities.

In this short Novella we get the conclusion to Sofia and Maksim’s story. As Sofia finds her strength and prove why she is by Maksim side. Maksim shows how far he will go to

This picks up where book one finished and oh my days, it took my breath away! And I freaking love Sofia! She is one badass mama bear!!
The hits keep coming but Maksim and Sofia aren’t side stepping, they are meeting them head on!

Loved the second part of this read. Sofia and Maksim have definitely grown closer, and he is willing to do anything to keep her protected and safe. There was a twist in here i definitely wasn't expecting at all but made the read so much better. What a great ending to these great short reads.

Yes! I loved Maksim and Sofia so much and was ready to jump into the rest of their story! Maksim is the ultimate protector and Sofia is finding her strength while their world is being spun around. The story kept me involved and on the edge of my seat! The story gives us danger, heat, and those softer moments between them. It's a great end to this duet!
