Both courageous and unfazed by controversy, Father James Altman offers us a lifetime's wisdom in this book of short essays. Drawn from Scripture, as well as his own experience as a lawyer advocating for abuse victims, and later as a Catholic pastor and teacher, Father's clear lessons are meant to cut through the fog of modern life. His style is both gritty and bracing - a breath of fresh air in the current miasma of misinformation. If you're looking for platitudes and polite evasion, this book isn't for you. If you're looking for the "Truth at Last", you've come to the right place.
Father Altman today speaks to a global internet audience of millions and appears regularly in person on alternative news analysis and discussion forums in the United States and Europe. Truth At Last -- Yes! Fr. Altman clearly explains the faith as did the priests of my youth. It's so refreshing to hear the straight truth without all the obfuscation so prevalent today.
The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth
Initially I was disappointed with the length of this book but, it was refreshing to have "truth" put forward so simply. I stumbled across Fr. Altman during the shutdown of the Catholic Churches during the false Covid crisis. I count listening to him as a blessing that came from that disaster. Although this book is short it has great value in preserving and increasing our immunity to lies and falsehoods that are destroying mental health.
Fr. Altmans straight talk which got him canceled by his own brothers in the high positions of the Church is something that I wish all priests and Bishops had the courage to speak like him. If we had twenty bishops like him, we would be in great shape but unfortunately all we have is the Democratic Party at prayer in the USCCB. That you Father Altman for continuing the fight for souls. God Love You
I thought Fr. Altman did an excellent book explaining the TRUTH in our Catholic faith, the government and the lies of some bishops. It is important to know that we have not been taught everything. He risked that and was canceled. I pray he is given back his church and priesthood. We deserve the truth.
This was a short and very quick read, if you heard of Fr. Altman during 2020; this is an extended version of those events as well as a brief biography. He writes very well and has a knack for conveying the words of Christ. Highly recommend .
