Murder by the Teapot: A Small Town Tea Shop Cozy Mystery

Rate this book
Some mysteries brew darker than Earl Grey... Maggie Dawson survived forty years of shushing library patrons. She never expected attempted murder to be easier.

When the judge at Maplewood's Spring Fair drops dead after tasting her tea, Maggie's cozy retirement plan goes straight down the drain. Her signature blend becomes evidence. Her mother's china turns into a murder weapon. And suddenly half the town thinks the nice new librarian is actually a cold-blooded killer.

But Maggie didn't spend four decades tracking down information just to let someone frame her for poisoning. Armed with research skills, her best friend's scones, and a very suspicious teacup, she's determined to brew up the truth—before she trades her tea shop for a jail cell.

Cute cozy mystery

This was such a great little quick read! I was slightly confused toward the end when there was a flashback, I think, thrown in the middle of the memorial at the tea shop for Harold. It made it seem like there were two separate memorials. Overall, though, this was a good read.

This one was neither great nor terrible. For a short read, it did what it was meant to do. Not one I'd read again though.
