Beatriz wasn't looking for him. And she definitely wasn't trying to text him. But, it seems the universe or fate or maybe both decided that she needed a reminder that Alejandro – the boy that her father hated, the boy she loved too much – still had the power to ruin me.
Alejandro had already left Beatriz once and she swore that she was never going to give him the chance to hurt her like that ever again.
The problem is that Alejandro is just as charming as he ever was, says all the things that Beatriz used to dream he'd say to her.
And now here she is, answering him back. Why? Because apparently, she hasn't learned anything from her past.
Now Beatriz finds that she is stuck between her family and the only man she has ever truly loved. Between that young girl she once was and the woman who just can't seem to resist him no matter what.
Beatriz knows that things between her and Alejandro were supposed to be over once and for all. But, she also knows that some mistakes feel far to good to stop making...once more, con emoción.

Once More, Con Emoción by Rae Knight. I love Rae Knight and her writing. Any time I am given the chance to read one of her books I grab it because I know it's going to be a fantastic read. I have several of her books on my trophy shelf and I have several more in my wish list and this is going to be another that is to be added to that list. I just loved this book.
One of the things that I love about all of Rae Knight's books and this one is no different is that they are all driven by both the characters and the plot. Both Beatriz and Alejandro feel raw, real, and unfiltered, and on top of that they are flawed, messy and you can just feel how full of longing they are. With Once More, Con Emocion, you are not just reading the book, you are feeling it, you are watching it unravel around you like a tapestry. It's emotional and it's authentic and this is something that you will find with any of Rae Knight's books.
For me, I loved that Rae let the chemistry between Beatriz and Alejandro shine. The push and pull between them, their dynamics, their vulnerabilities, and even their passion, all felt real, not something that had been manufactured for a book. And I loved that Rae didn't just write the romance for the sake of their attraction, she wrote it for the growth of both Beatriz and Alejandro, the mistakes that they had both made in the past that haunt them. There is such tenderness there that seems to sneak up on you and just linger there. It is truly something magnificent to behold.
What I truly loved about Beatriz and Alejandro’s story was that it was a story of redemption and second chances and realizing who is truly destined to be your partner life life. I loved that it was an accidental text from Beatriz who was in fact trying to text her sister not Alejandro that reunited the two, and in doing so brought them back together and made them realize that even though years had passed, they still loved each other and the chemistry they had once shared still remains.
Rae wrote in just the perfect amount of tension and yearning between Beatriz and Alejandro and yet you can still feel so many emotions from them while you read their back stories and why they ended up breaking up in the first place. When they reunited, they decided to stay together and make it work, which brought such joy to my heart and many happy tears to my eyes. (Something I was in great need of when I read this book I have to say.)
I fell in love with both these characters so much. I felt for Beatriz and I can understand why she went through all the trust issues that she did after ending her relationship with Alejandro, she was so hurt at the time and she was petrified of being hurt again after all. But, Alejandro showed up over and over again for her, proving that this time he's not going anywhere and he's going to fight for their love and most of all he's going to fight for her. This to me just proved how perfect they are for each other.
And of course, we have the friends that were made. The soccer team and Camila, were just so supportive and caring of Alejandro and Beatriz. I will admit that Beatriz made me soo mad at times with his being so set in his ways and how protective he was of his family. But, when eventually that improved, I have to say that it was all worth it in the end.
This book, just like any other Rae Knight book will be a high recommendation from me. With all the tension, yearning, laughter, spice/heat, and everything else that's in between, you'll enjoy this book just as much as I did and you'll not regret picking up this book for one single second.
