The best military MMA fighter romance you will read all year.

Blake is a tattooed rebel soldier. He went AWOL from Afghanistan after the atrocities he witnessed. He now spends his time hiding out in anonymity in a seedy underground MMA gym. Blake is not his real name.

Emily is a new law grad who has no time for men. One night, coming home from a courthouse in a dark neighbourhood, she narrowly escapes being raped. A tall dark stranger, bulging with muscle, saves her at the last minute. He offers his hand, introduces himself as Blake, and disappears.

Emily is determined to never be helpless in the face of danger again. She turns up at her local MMA gym and learns a few lessons from the muscular tatted-up savior from the other night. After training with Blake, and gradually uncovering his mask, she discovers that he is the soldier who's military deeds are applauded every day in the newspaper.

This 20,000 word book is part one in the mesmerising Military Ink series. *Warning: 18+ Adults only! The subject matter of Hooked is for mature audiences.*

For an externally short story it was really good. I just think the price of $2.99 was way too high. I do however, want to continue the series; I just think I will wait until it's finished and get the box set to save money.

On a side note Fox did an excellent job of writing the characters. I was just a little off put on the sex scene. I guess I just wanted more tension between the two, just to make it a little more believable.

Seriously can't wait to see these to grow as Blake battles the desertion charges. The author has her work cut out for her.

FYI... shorts I rate on a 3 star system. This got 4 because when the box set is out I'll be all over it. Unless I have a friend who will loan it to me on Amazon.
