"She was my glowing beacon. My light in the dark. My angel."
Ira After being saved by a masked stranger from the fire that destroyed her home, Ira needs to start over. A new job, a new apartment, a chance to feel safe again. But when strange things start happening around her, Ira begins to question her sanity and whether someone is pulling the strings from the shadows.
Quinn Since saving her from the house fire she started, Quinn has been obsessed with Ira. But watching from the shadows was no longer enough. She is done waiting. Ira belongs to her, and Quinn will do anything to keep her, no matter how dark it gets. Even if it means crossing every line, even if it means getting her hands bloody, even if it means taking her little angel when she tries to run.
Cirrus Rae is a 30-year-old spicy, dark romance author based in California who focuses solely on fast-paced, filthy, sapphic stories. Her debut series, Masked Mascs, was just the beginning of a growing world of lesbian chaos and obsession. From masked slashers to paranormal shape-shifters, you'll never be bored when picking up one of her books.
Her main goal is to make sure that sapphic dark romance gets the bookshelf space it deserves!
Another great edition to the series. This one was a stalker romance with cheating back stabbing ex’s but who cares when you have a hulking masked masc to rescue you and get revenge?
Written in First Person with 2x POV’s. Book Two in the Masked Masc series. Dark Romance, Stalker, Divorce, Starting Over, Masc/Femme. 3x Spicy Scenes.
Another dark, unhinged, stalker romance... and I'm totally here for it!
Ira has had a rough life and one night will change all of that. Her villain or unlikely hero, Quinn, becomes obsessed with her and vows to do anything to claim her.
4.5: Obsessed …again! This time there was a build up to the spice and it was so worth it. Also, What a beautiful messy but organized story! Ugh loved it. The drammmmmaaa!
I loved Little Lamb so when the email came in for the ARC of Into the Fire, I practically jumped on it. Had it downloaded and read within like 2 hours. I couldn't put it down, nor did I want to.
The opening chapter in this book was enough for me to fall in love with it. It felt very visceral. I could picture the scene that Cirrus was setting up and see Quinn moving through that setting.
Into the Fire does something that Little Lamb didn't, it splits the POV chapters evenly between Quinn and Ira. This added a layer of emotional depth to Quinn that we didn't really see in Ez and added a lot more intrigue for me. What can I say? When it's fictional I'm into stalking and obsessive behavior. 🤷
The sex scenes in this book were also freaking fantastic. They felt less dark than those in Little Lamb, but no less erotic. It was hot. Don't really have more words for it.
FINALLY we get a sapphic masked character!! The read was short and sweet, which was great for a quiet afternoon in. The beginning of the story moved very quickly, which was a smidge too short for my own liking (I like a solid story arc to begin the smut) which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. All in all, I did enjoy the energy of both of the main characters. I believe the author did a great job of capturing the experience of sapphic people (Dating exes, wearing boxers, yearning for the person you saw across the room weeks ago). I had the privilege of reading this piece and reviewing it prior to the public release, and I will be purchasing book 1 and 3 to fill the void. Dark romance girlies - this one is for you!
I really enjoyed this book, but don't read this if you don't think someone committing murder for you and completely controlling your entire life is hot. Classic stalker insta love romance with some very dark moments and some very spicy ones. Can't wait for the next book in this series!
I think this one might be even better than the first. I’d say it’s short and sweet, but it’s more short and steamy and dark. Very well written, I appreciate well constructed sentences, and this has clearly been constructed with love and dedication. The absolute fantasy of it is really engaging. The characters are great and the plot is a lot of fun. Highly recommend.
i love messy, petty lesbians. this was deliciously toxic and did the obsessed ex trope right. crazy women are my weakness, give them a mask, a strap and stalker tendencies? i'll bark on my knees.
I loved Quinn’s passion for revenge and controlling nature, and how easily she became obsessed with Ira after saving her from the fire (even though she’s the one who started it). I enjoyed how everything was connected as well with the ex and the one she was cheating with. A few extra layers to this than the first in the Masked Masc’s series! I also loved the slower build up to the spice and longer instance of stalking before the reveal. The pacing and detail was on point as well, fitting in a good build up and backstory within 189 pages, with wonderful stalker-y spice and a satisfying ending!
Plot summary Quinn sets out for revenge on her cheating ex, and what better way than to set the woman she was cheating with’s house on fire. However, turns out a rather attractive, curvy woman who is NOT the right woman, is lying in bed about to get burned alive. Quinn can’t have that and breaks in to save her, thus beginning her obsession. After getting saved from the house fire she has no idea how got started, Ira needs a new home, job and life essentially, which all seem to miraculously land in her lap. She soon realises she has a bit of a stalker though…
Things I Loved: - Start a fire, save the woman - Masked stalker romance! - Kidnapping/drugg!ng - Quinn’s act before thinking - Ira being into the obsession & messed up nature of the relationship
Overall, if you like dark and spicy, insta-love romance with a masked masc stalker, kidnapping and a bit of murder, then you should eat this up!
