It's a story filled with action that takes place in various places via a portal system. Martin has to run and defend his life as he tries to decipher where he is, what is going on, and how to save the universe. A wide range of characters adds to the frantic pace of who can you trust. Each location is so different from the next, it was hard not to read just one more chapter. I can not wait for the sequel.

My first time reading a Tillsley book after buying from the author at a local convention (where he is a mainstay). I really enjoyed this story, there's no shortage or action and imaginative worlds as we follow the MC - dropshock and all - into multi-world Wayfarer chaos. Epic moments, swordfights and peppered with witty one-liners, it was a lot of fun. As the curtains slowly revealed the larger story out of the confusion, we got a satisfying finale to match. Will defs read book 2!

interesting concept

Well written and with an interesting concept, but not my cup of tea. The main character is a bit too much on the whiny side, and his thinking process is skewed in ways that don’t make sense to me. Tried hard but DNF.
