What happens when a cocky masked prick crosses paths with the wrong woman?
You're about to find out.

Control Alt Delete is a balls-to-the-wall extreme cyberpunk Halloween horror. This is NOT a romance book. It is an extreme, graphic comedy about the underbelly of cyberspace.

This book is for mature readers who have zero triggers — for those who don’t need a happily ever after or even a happy for now. If you think you know what’s coming, no you don’t. If you have any kind of trigger, this book is not for you.

I'm going to start by saying this book had me cackling the whole way through. It also grossed me out and made my gag a few times. It ultimately left me speechless. These are all GOOD things and why I gave this raunchy, bloody, fast paced body horror an overall 5 ⭐'s. The "Swallow, Kitten" in the dedication had me absolutely terrified of what grossness there might be ahead. 😂

I'm used to Ivy being unhinged. I expect it from her. It's why she's one of my favorite authors. And as far as I'm concerned, not only did she deliver, she outdid herself this time. 'Control Alt Delete' started out already going 60 mph and it just kept ramping up from there. The name changes throughout, especially, had me rolling in fits of laughter.

But what I really loved the most about this book was the point behind it. The message in the writing is a strong one. One that needs to be screamed from the highest peaks and the lowest valleys, especially in these scary times when we women are at war, fighting for our rights, our uteruses and body autonomy. And that message is that CONSENT MATTERS. Always. Just because someone has kinks or likes a certain genre of books or movies, i.e Dark Romance, doesn't mean they are less than. It doesn't mean they are undeserving of giving consent or should be treated as though they're subhuman. Nor does it mean one should not be given a safe word or use of the traffic light system. It's a powerful message, and one that I'm so grateful Ivy put a spotlight on. Books have always been, and will always be, political. I'm so grateful to our hysterical, not afraid to write what they want author for this book and its underlying meaning. Thankfully, Ivy wrapped up the point in a delightful blend of humor, gross body horror, bodily fluids and a group of vengeful, at times a bit psychotic, women with zero tolerance. And if you enjoy, or can at least tolerate, books with...

🩸 Blood & Gore
🫀 Non-Con
🩸 Body Horror
🫀 Forced Anal
🩸 Body Modification With Zero Consent
🫀 Lots Of Bodily Fluids (including, but not limited to, urine & vomit)
🩸 Cannibalism
♀️ Lots of Feminine Rage

...and a whole lot more unhinged stuff, then you will enjoy this quick, pitch black read. It probably goes without saying after what I've already written, but please do NOT read any further in this book without reading BOTH of the warnings Ivy provides. We don't usually get trigger and content lists or any kind of warnings from them, so I think it's very important. This book is pitch black, it's definitely not a romance and there is no HEA. At least not for everyone.

And as far as my ratings go, my personal favorite part of the review to write, I'll be awarding the blood and gore aspect 4 outta 5 🩸's. The spice in this novella is all over the place, from being consentual to non consentual, it was definitely hardcore and very brutal. I don't know that I'd say it was steamy, but it was all well written, so I'll be awarding it 4 outta 5 🌶️'s.

So, if you do decide to proceed and read 'Control Alt Delete', I genuinely hope you will come back and drop a comment down ⬇️ below ⬇️, telling me what your thoughts are!!

My Review
Control Alt Delete: A Graphic Halloween Comedy Horror by Ivy Graves

This was my first time reading Ivy Graves, and I have to say I was impressed. The story was unique, darkly entertaining, and full of detail that pulled me right in. The main characters were fun to follow, and I loved how the author kept the tension and surprises coming.

The plot was wild, unpredictable, and engaging all the way through — I found myself eager to see what would happen next. Ivy has a knack for balancing chaos with sharp storytelling, making it easy to stay hooked until the very end.

Overall, no complaints — just a wild, extreme cyberpunk horror ride that delivered exactly what it promised

Where do I even start? If you have triggers or are easily offended, please think again about grabbing this book because this isn't one where you can clutch your pearls and say "Oh heavens me!" This is comedic, spicy, and horror filled. How Ivy Graves can write so exceptionally is beyond me. I've said her prose is unique, but this is just down right soothing. The way the words flow is mind blowing.

Delve into the underworld of a cocky male online persona only to be met with one of the most amazing female protagonist Ivy has ever created. This story will leave you in states of emotions that I wasn't even ready for. Pick up your copy today and enjoy this thrilling ride.

Ivy did an absolutely fantastic job with this one! Horror with a side of retribution is the best way I think I can describe it, and I was entirely here for it the whole way. It was balanced quite well between keeping you guessing and knowing BASICALLY (never entirely) what was coming.

There were a few points that I wasn’t totally sure if I was going to be able to keep reading, but I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. And I’m glad I didn’t! I made it and got my gold star.

I laughed, I almost threw up, and I ALMOST felt bad for the dingy idiots.

Ivy is a master wordsmith, and this definitely won’t be the last book of hers that I pick up!

I love the idea behind a group of strong women getting justice against predators.

BUT..

I was expecting a lot more body horror and gore. The trigger warnings made it seem like the book would be filled with these things.

The scenes that did include gore were great but felt a little fade to black. There were a couple of times in the book were I wondered how/when/where something specific happened.

All in all it was a good book.

Control Alt Delete

Im just going to say I have no idea what I just read, I'm not sure if I'm impressed with myself, or if maybe I should up my therapy to twice, maybe three times weekly.

Time shall tell ...
