Deranged Trilogy #3

Sharpening a Weapon

Rate this book
Fueled by vengeance, Red steps forward to claim the gift her Masters promised her. Three syllables, seven letters… revenge. This is her reckoning. Her justice. A chance to show those who broke her exactly what she has become. To prove she is more than a pretty face and a warm fleshlight.

There are new players on the board—and this time, Red holds the reins. She is the rulemaker. The ring leader. Judge, jury, and executioner.

Armed with the skills drilled into her by the triplets and Felix, Red finally confronts the men who shattered her life and set her on a path paved with blood and survival. The ones responsible for every nightmare she’s endured. At last, she can silence the ghosts and uncover the truths that have been clawing at her mind.

But when buried secrets surface and the triplets are torn apart, Red’s place in their twisted world is no longer certain. The dynamics they built begin to fracture. Loyalties blur. Lines are crossed, and boundaries are tested. Red must decide where she truly stands among a circle of beautiful, deranged psychos.

Will Red prove once and for all that she’s more than what they tried to reduce her to or will she become the main course at Bravo’s table?

Sharpening A Weapon is Book 3 in the Deranged Trilogy and must be read in order. It is a pitch black unconventional romance between Red and the triplets. Please check the trigger warnings (60+) at the beginning of the book. This trilogy is for the mature readers of the 18+ variety. This is not a guide for what a healthy relationship entails and is a work of fiction! YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!

This book was the perfect conclusion to this trilogy and I’m so happy to see Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Red (now Delta) get their happy ending, although rather unconventional I loved the story of these four psychos. This book takes place a signifcant amount of time after the second book and we return to their chaotic cabin. Delta is in a better state but her psycho “masters” are idiots and tend to trigger her. I loved the entire revenge plot but that last little plot twist and climatic mental episode that Delta has is absolutely insane. I loved seeing more of Bravos antics and there were more MM scenes in this book as compared to the last two. The epilogue though? Total mindfuckery and I totally did not see that coming. Although it is sad to leave this trilogy behind I’m so excited for the next series about our girl Green! I loved this book so much and give it a 4.5/5

ARC REVIEW

Ginger Moonwitch does not disappoint with the final installment of this trilogy.
It maintains the consistent, unhinged tone that I have quickly fallen in love with. It offers a natural evolution of characters and relationships and levels up on the carnage.

Thank you, Ginger, for an excellent trilogy and a hint towards future stories in this universe

This final installment delivers a hauntingly perfect conclusion to the trilogy, tying together the fates of Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta in a way that feels both deeply satisfying and deliciously unhinged. Reuniting with these four beautifully broken souls in their chaotic cabin, we find Delta in a fragile but improved state though her so-called “masters,” as reckless and maddening as ever, seem almost destined to unravel her again. The story surges forward with a gripping revenge plot that pulses with tension, but nothing prepares you for the explosive final twist nor the utterly deranged, heart-stopping mental spiral Delta descends into at the climax. Bravo’s wild antics shine brighter than ever, adding both chaos and dark charm, while the heightened intensity of the MM scenes pushes boundaries even further than before. And that epilogue? A complete, jaw-dropping mindfuck that leaves you reeling long after the final page. As bittersweet as it is to say goodbye to this twisted quartet, the promise of what’s to come with Green’s story is nothing short of electrifying.

This is the 3rd and final book in the trilogy. Ginger did not disappoint in this one!!

Sharpening A Weapon focuses mainly on Red getting revenge for what happened to her. The Triplets will do anything they can to make sure this happens and make sure everything is handled until it’s time for her to play! The revenge starts with DH1 and DH2 the 2 men that started her becoming a weapon journey. The Triplets find out they are hosting another one of their party’s/auctions and make sure to get on the invite list. They allow Red to be apart of this because they will need someone to get them to the van. While they are at this party though one of Alphas old acquaintance comes up to him and tries to get him to have a good time with her. Even though he is not interested he goes along with her to see how far he can push Reds buttons.Red sees the interaction between the 2 and her anger rises to the service where all she sees is red! This girl is touching what is mine and that will not happen. Red strolls up to them and threatens this woman and once she is done and gone she threatens Alpha as well. In this moment Alpha knew he felt more for Red than what he ever thought he would. I loved this trilogy so much from the first book to the third and final book! The ending had me saying WTF and made me want to scream!! Ginger knows how to leave a mark!!

I absolutely DEVOURED this trilogy.

What a fun ride reading the story of Red and the triplets.

The fact that I kinda love Charlie is a credit to the author and how she wrote him, because he is as pitch black as the others.

The torture scenes had me almost gagging. Unreal.

Cannot recommend this enough!!

Omg... The twists at the end... I loved this series. Through all the terminal and heartbreak... Delta/Red powered through. She is a total badass. The triplets really caught the feelings for their pet. She surpassed every expectations they had for her.
These men are unhinged, pitch black. Please check your trigger warnings. It gets rough.

Ginger Moonwitch has delivered a visceral and haunting conclusion to The Deranged Trilogy with Sharpening A Weapon. This final installment brings the journey of Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta to a close in a way that is as unconventional as it is satisfying. Following a significant time jump after the second book, the story returns to the chaotic atmosphere of the cabin where the power dynamics have shifted. While Delta has found a stronger sense of self, her transformation into a lethal force comes to a jagged, brilliant peak as she focuses on her quest for vengeance against the men who originally broke her.
The triplets remain as protective as they are dangerous, willing to do anything to ensure Delta finally gets to "play" her hand in this revenge mission. The tension reaches a breaking point during an undercover auction where a calculated attempt to make Delta jealous backfires, leading to a confrontation where she asserts her dominance over both an interloper and Alpha himself. This moment marks a turning point for the group, moving them from a dynamic of control to one of mutual, albeit warped, devotion. The narrative is punctuated by increased M/M scenes and Bravo’s signature antics, building toward a climatic mental episode for Delta that is nothing short of breathtaking.
The pacing of this finale is relentless, leading to a series of twists and a shocking "mindfuck" in the epilogue that perfectly encapsulates the trilogy's spirit. Ginger Moonwitch maintains a consistently unhinged tone throughout, balancing the carnage of the plot with the internal evolution of these characters. While it is difficult to say goodbye to this group, the ending leaves a lasting mark and sets a thrilling stage for the upcoming series focused on Green.
Content and Trigger Warnings: This book is a pitch-black romance intended for mature audiences only. It contains graphic violence, torture, kidnapping, and murder. It also features explicit sexual content (including M/M and M/M/F), psychological trauma, mental health crises, and non-consensual/dubious-consent situations. Readers should exercise extreme caution as the themes are exceptionally dark.

This is the third book in Gingers Deranged Trilogy. If you thought the first two books went too far, well straighten up because in this one Ginger goes all the way there. Red even surprises Alpha with her brand of unaliving people. NO ONE gets a quick 💀. For what all these asshats have done, Red gets to play and she is very good at this game. Her boys have trained her very well!
As per Gingers books you will never see that ending coming. It seems all flowers and sunshine then bam she hits you over the head. “I didn’t see that coming” 😹 😹 Oh I love you Ginger!
This last book is dark, very dark, yes but I have to say it is also a psychological thriller as Ginger has you guessing what is going on between the triplets and Red. One minute you think you have each of them figured out (especially Alpha who is mine, all mine). I was Team Charlie for books 1 and 2. By the end of Book 2 I was really trying to like him. Alpha has zero redeeming qualities. He is King of all the deranged MMCs I have ever read. And yet he praises Red because she surpasses any expectations he had for her. I have to mention when i was reading the conversations Red would have with herself I was never sure if she already was losing her mind. These glimpses into Reds psyche are my favorite parts of the book.
Fate is a funny girlie. when you go back to the beginning and think if the boys hadn’t decided they needed a girl to join their dynamic, if Red hadn’t gone on that Tinder date, if all the training the boys put Red through broke her we wouldn’t have reached this conclusion.
I absolutely recommend this book.

Only rating a 4 star BECAUSE while I am no stranger to pitch black dark romance, this one was a lot for me, and thats just me.

Ginger did a wonderful job concluding this storyline. She broke Red down so well and then watching the remaking of her was horrible but phenomenal, if you know what I mean. This is in no way shape or form a book to romanticize but, in its own twisted and unhinged way it can be beautiful, even the worst of the worst people have a little in their heart to give or they at least try.

You have three brothers who have been so badly beaten down to the point that they have no morals and you see them slowly shift and change in a “better” way for her. ( i say better so so loosely, but “better” in their world)

She’s more than what they had originally set out to do to her and that shows in such little ways and i loved how Ginger wove that into the story.

I was glad that Red finally got her revenge and I thought she’d be like “okay f you all” and really go on a spree but you can see how much the men really did alter her.

The plot twist at the end?! Really wasn’t expecting that one. The story is open for a spin off series which will definitely be interesting to see how that plays out with those characters. Also, Bravo man your indulgences really made me wanna barf this time around. Hahahah.

If you’re a true fan of pitch black, no moral, unhinged characters i think this would be a great read for you. Please check your triggers. There is 6 pages worth and they’re there for a reason.

What an unhinged, psychotic, crazy, insane, unpredictable, ride the Deranged Trilogy has been. This is the third and final book in this series. If you have not read the others yet they are a must. You will not be doing Red/Delta justice if you don't read her whole story. It is absolutely necessary to read the trigger warnings before you dig in because there is an entire grocery list plus some! In Sharpening a Weapon, Alpha, Beta, and Charlie continue to develop deeper feelings for Delta and realize that she is more than just a weapon and a vessel for their pleasure. As a result, they decide to give her the gift of revenge. With the help of her masters, Delta is able to hunt down the parties involved in her kidnapping and sale. She is given complete control over the execution of her vengeance. She wants to impress her masters and show those responsible for her situation exactly what she is capable of. Delta is merciless, exacting, and creative while doling out their punishments. This book and the entire series was full of surprises, spice, and unhinged characters that you can't help but love. I am sad that this series is coming to an end! But there is one heck of an epilogue that makes me excited for what is to come! The Deranged Trilogy is absolutely incredible and lives up to it's name. I wholeheartedly recommend this series. But once again, remember Red's story is super dark and not suitable for everyone!

🖤 “Yeah, lesson learned. Disobey and get fucked into oblivion. 10 out of 10, would recommend,” she slurs and closes her eyes. 🖤
~ Red/Delta

Damn, what did I just read? This was depraved, twisted, and absolutely incredible. I can’t even put it into words. This trilogy has had me hooked since book one, and I never want it to end. I need more.

Honestly, this is beyond a five-star read in my book. Red/Delta is a total badass—there’s no other way to say it. She’s taken traits from Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie and made them entirely her own. While becoming “one of them” was out of her control at first, she’s learned to handle these dominant assassins in her own unique way.

Watching Red/Delta take revenge on the men who put her on the triplets’ radar and made her into what she is today was pure brilliance. Women can be truly vengeful. And that epilogue, Ginger; how could you do that to us? I need to know what happens next!

Sharpening a Weapon hits shelves March 23, 2026. If you’re into unhinged assassins training a female assassin in unconventional ways, this is the book for you.

This is the third book in the Deranged Trilogy, and Red/Delta's revenge story and I cheered her on the whole book. The things she did to the men involved in her trafficking at times had me gagging. Everything that had been done to her at the hands of her "Masters" set Delta up for the revenge of a lifetime. You think the men of this book were f*cked up you haven't seen anything until you see what Red/Delta hands out to her traffickers. Alpha, Bravo and Charlie really did forge her into the ultimate weapon that may even be more dangerous than they had anticipated. Throughout the book we get to witness as Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie also go through changes where they have softened for Delta and truly come to face that they have fallen in their version of love. The ending of this book threw me for a loop that I was truly NOT prepared for..Like absolutely mind blown. This Trilogy was a fun, sick, twisted, deranged and a damn good time and I loved every bit of it.

This book was absolute and utter perfection. This was an amazing way to wrap up the trilogy. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta (previously Red) get the ending they deserve and it makes me so happy for them. These four psychos are meant for each other and the connection they have shared throughout the series has been a point that’s really kept me coming back for more. Their relationship is twisted and full of dark devotion in its own way. And it only deepens in this installment. The series as a whole, and this book in particular, was masterfully done. It grabbed me by the throat and didn’t let up the pressure until this book ended. And now I don’t know what to do with myself. Also…those last few pages blew my mind, leaving me agape and shocked. This series is unhinged and I would happily read this again and again.

I am at a loss for words, but I am feeling SO many emotions right now. Ginger, babes, I love you but what in the actual FUCK woman?? I thought books 1 & 2 were deranged... NOPE! This one tops the cake. My brain is still reeling about this one... I have been hooked onto this Trilogy from the BEGINNING and these books have both broken and mended my heart and that fucking cliffhanger?? MA'AM!! I need to know what happens next!!

Sharpening A Weapon deserves MORE than 5 stars honestly. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta have ALL weaseled their way into my heart and I don't think they will ever leave which I am okay with. Thank you so much for writing this AMAZING Trilogy and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them and Green <3

Before I start , this is book 3 in the trilogy. Please please check your trigger warnings before reading. This is a true PITCH black dark romance!!!!!

With that out of the way, without further ado!

Book 3 (this one) is by far my favorite one! Everything comes together and compiles as close as this book to get to a “happy” ending. I do love how the author is continuing the story without a so called “cliffhanger”. More books to come to include Red / Delta.

❤️‍🔥 - Plot. Great plot! Like a grand finale!

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 - Characters. I love the growth you see with each character. Got to admire Red / Delta in her villain era.

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 - Spice. Spice be spicing. Very dark and heavy for sure. Love it.

There was four Glasgow smiles, three psychotic triplets, two kidnapped predators, one deranged pet… and maybe some “worms”. Or however the song goes.

This book is not quite as spicy as the two before it, but still came with several pages of trigger warnings awaiting me as soon as I opened it. Which is exactly what I like in a book.

The ending was so wild I actually sat up to process wtf was happening. I’m excited to see what’s next. Proud of the triplets for semi getting their feelings together in an almost functional way, stoked for Red that she’s getting the answers she needed.

Book three was probably my favorite of the trilogy and definitely felt like it had more depth.

This book was just as wild as the first 2 in the trilogy. Ginger did an excellent job making me laugh, feel incredibly grossed out and shocked several times throughout this book. Her writing is so descriptive that by this 3rd installment, I felt like I could perfectly envision the layout & setup of the house and imagine the looks on each characters’ faces made before she explained their responses to certain events.

This series will definitely stick with me. I predicted a portion of the final scene but not all of it and I’m excited to know this series is getting a spinoff and the story will continue. ❤️ I can’t wait until Green’s book!

Why did you do that to me!! Red/Delta really finds her place in their deranged family. I’m so happy she was able to get revenge on those who harmed her but is able to reconcile who she has become. She rocks their word in so many ways and throws them for a loop. No spoilers but there are a lot of twists and turns and some sweet stuff too. I didn’t see the ending coming for sure. I’m just in awe. It is really dark and check those warnings cause the menu is strong with this one. So much to unpack but I’m here for Green’s story too.

Wow.

This series is so beautifully deranged. This book was by far my favorite out of the series and that’s saying a lot since I really liked the first two!

Seeing how Delta and the trips interact and come to terms with having their version of feelings. Watching Delta accept, sass, and get some revenge is fun and refreshing. I liked seeing more of the men’s POV this book and how their view of her had changed between the books.

And COME ON that ending… I cannot. I am still dealing with the emotional impact of what is promised to come and I CANNOT wait!

What a perfect ending to this trilogy! I am so sad to let these characters go, they have become such comfort characters to me while I deal with my own BS. Reading Red's journey to becoming Delta, their true fourth, was INCREDIBLE. This trilogy will forever be one of my favorites.

That being said, this one had me squirming a bit more with Delta's elaborate revenge. Don't piss her off lmao. I absolutely adored seeing Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie finally come around to the very obvious feelings they have for their girl. And the plot twists. OMG I figured the big one out about Green pretty quickly but the reveal was still perfect and I am SO READY for more of this deranged universe that Ginger has concocted.

I absolutely loved this ❤️ When I first started reading this series I wasn't all that sure on Alpha, Bravo and Charlie but they grew on me so much. I love each of their personalities and quirks. Alpha and the cross stitch cracked me up!
Delta is a fire cracker fair play, she's a sassy brat when she wants to be!
This series kept me engaged and entertained! What a great conclusion to the series! That cliffhanger tho...that's going to hurt waiting for Greens story.
