OMNI
Lead singer of the band wrote the book inspired from the lyrics of their last album.
OMNI, a global technocracy, has risen to unite humanity under one government, social media network, and commerce system. Their applications, released to the public to combat a series of international crises, transform daily life in dramatic fashion.
In celebration of their latest application called the AUGMENT, many millions gather at a massive music festival called OMNIFEST. The company marketing describes it as “the most significant innovation in all recorded history.” Although the specific details surrounding the app are murky, it is rumored to extend human lifespans. The hype is enormous.
David Markham, an influencer for OMNI Social Media, is commissioned to document the festival on an official livestream for the state. It is his “big break,” his first opportunity to host content on a worldwide stage. As the festival proceeds, he learns the dark truth about the company he serves, the tech he worships, the people he trusts, and ultimately, himself.

With Project 86, he has released seven albums and 2 EPs to date. Through Relevant publishing he has released one autobiography "It's All Downhill From Here: On the Road with Project 86" chronicling his life on the road with the band. He has also released two compilations of his own poetry, humorous stories, rants, and insights on life ("We Caught You Plotting Murder" and "Do Not Disturb") and is debuting a new book called "Fame Is Infamy" in November 2009. Schwab maintains a featured blog column at Relevant.com and also currently writes for HM, Relevant, and AP magazines. Schwab is often scheduled to speak at special events, music festivals, etc.

Great premise. Being his first fictional writing, there are times when the writing seems a bit stale, over-explanatory or repetitive. Ends on a cliffhanger that does have me excited for the next book, which is currently in the early stages of first draft. It does help flesh out the world that the music from the album of the same name established. Highly recommend for people who enjoy dystopian sci-fi.
