Growing up, Anna thought life couldn’t get much tougher, but finding out she was pregnant at fifteen years old wasn’t exactly in the plans she had made for a brighter future for herself.

Sixteen years later and life still hasn’t relented much, but Anna wouldn’t change a thing if it meant losing her reason for living, her amazing son - Max. She has done everything she could, made every sacrifice she needed to make, just to ensure he never faced the childhood she was dragged through, and to guarantee him opportunities in his future that she could never make for herself.

Then one night changed everything. One night, in which Anna decided to take something for herself. One night when she chose her needs in a moment of weakness. It had been selfish and reckless, and now she would regret it forever. That night, and the mistakes that came with it, left her lost and broken, but worse than that, it almost cost Max everything she had strived so hard to give him.

Now all Anna knows is to flee – run far and fast away from the nightmare of her own making.

That’s how she and Max find themselves halfway around the country, in a tiny town they’ve never heard of, renting a guest house from two wealthy brothers who seem far too eager and willing to help perfect strangers in any way they can.

But after everything, how can Anna possibly trust them? It doesn’t matter that they’re sweet, kind, and easy on the eye. It doesn’t matter how many times they promise that they’re decent men who would never hurt her or her son. Even the fact Max trusts them will not sway her opinion. She can’t trust them. She won’t!

But what happens when circumstances leave her no choice but to trust those strangers? Are they really who they claim to be, or is Anna just walking into another huge mistake of her own making once again? Will she allow her own selfish wants, needs, and desires to put everything she has left, at risk once again?

This is a stand alone MFM romance which means the FMC will end up with more than one love interest. It is intended for readers aged 18+

This story had such great premise and a great plot and I usually love Kerry Taylor’s books. But the lack of proofreading and editing ruined this for me. The use of wrong characters names by mistake. Also, Logan really irritated me at the end and I don’t think he grovelled enough for Anna. I absolutely loved Max, he was such a protector for his mum, much to Anna’s dismay. I wish the relationships between Anna with Logan and Maddox didn’t feel so forced and honestly felt they had a surface level connection despite the trauma. This being said, it was a good story with a good plot.

I liked the storyline but not so much the ending

It was a great story right up until the end. I think she should’ve made the book just a little longer because I really don’t like how quickly Anna forgave Logan and I feel he should’ve had to fight harder to get her forgiveness. He completely turned his back on her and made a mockery of every single promise he made her and she just forgave him the second he apologized!

Loved this book Kerry always gives us the most emotional stories and you cry and sniffle & smile along with story this one was Anna & Max her son whom she had when she was 15/16 so a young mom raising her son all by herself working 2/3 jobs to give him what she never had one night everything nearly came down around her so she ran and then her life was looking brighter she rented a cottage from two brothers Logan & Maddox who had enough baggage to fill 6/7 suitcases 😂 but they never stopped trying to help them after a few weeks of Max & Anna they wore her down finally but she tried to keep them at bay because of what happened but finally she wanted to be loved but was cautious also she got a job in this small town they ran to, and who she ran from came after her to the little quaint town she was falling in love with so Logan & Maddox to rescue plus the FBI showed up both Anna & Max started to freak out but Logan & Maddox stayed the course to help
them out, the person they she ran from was wanted for murder by FBI so the guy came after her to murder her because she got away nobody got away from him… by the end of this Callum person Maddox got shot and all hell broke loose he snook in by water and came with a gun, he shot Maddox and tried to drown her finally she went silent when she woke Max was doing CPR on her, Logan killed the Callum guy, at the hospital Logan was worried over Maddox kinda turned on Anna and Max so Max took out Anna to sleep
And came for Logan Maddox meantime was hearing what Max was saying to Logan about his mom, meantime Maddox finally opened his eyes to give his two cents worth to Logan about not being there for Max & Anna after all that finally Anna, Max, Logan & Maddox all had their HEA

This was a sweet emotional read about a mother and son who will do anything to protect each other.

The two of them run to start over after something traumatic and both struggle to deal with their trauma.

The guys were really sweet and supportive (at least until the end, I'm not sure why Logan did that total 180 at the end, the emphasis on making him grovel and not forgiving him in three sentences, only to do exactly that...)

I will say, this one does need a proofread. There's a lot of missing capitals on pronounds and typos in general, especially compared to past books.

I loved the representation in this. Anna (fmc) underwent a kidney transplant one year prior to this and you get to see the struggles she has with that as her body heals not just from the recent trauma but adjusting to life after the surgery - it's not a quick fix. Also, Maddox (one of the mmcs) has a prosthetisis and there were some mental struggles with that especially at the beginning of the book.

This isn't the first book by Kerry Taylor that I've read. And I can say that I was not disappointed. I impatiently wait for her to release a new book so I can devour it.

Anna ended up pregnant and alone at such a young age. But she promised her child that she would make sure he always had everything he ever needed. She would protect him. Anna takes her son and runs somewhere that she hope's will be safe for them both. She just didn't encounter that her landlords would be good looking.

Logan and Maddox just want to help Anna and her son. They both see that she has a past. They want to give both her and her son a safe place to live. But they've got secrets and neither are willing to share.

But what happens when Anna thinks her past has come back? She wants to run to protect her son but Logan and Maddox won't let her run. They want to protect them both.

Another Great Book, A must read.

I absolutely loved this book. It had all the feels and was the perfect emotional roller coaster that I love to read. It was easy to Love Maddox and Logan even when I wanted to smack them upside the head. The way Max loved his mom and was so protective of her made me think of how my boys are with me. I highly recommend this book and anything by Kerry Taylor, just please check trigger warnings so you know if there is something that can trigger you and make you not like what is a great book, its not fair to you or the author, and that's what the warnings are for.

another amazing read from Kerry Taylor.

I have loved Kerry’s books since the beginning and they just keep getting better. I always go in being prepared to cry but have my heart mended by the end. Kerry did not disappoint with this one. Can’t wait for more of Anna, her guys, and Max in the future

love!

I have loved all the books by Kerry Taylor, but this is one of the best! I love the change in dynamic that having Max around created. I don’t normally love the FMC to have a kid but Max made me fall in love with him. I hope he has his own story in the future!

Liked it right up until the end.

It was good right up until the ending. I don’t have any respect left for Logan. I would not forgive him.

Loved the story line.RA

I loved the story but I had a hard time getting into the story. It needed more feeling and emotions in the story.
