Ashwood Falls #2

Pregnant in Plaid

Rate this book
One night, two pink lines, and a grumpy lumberjack in flannel.

I came to Ashwood Falls to escape my Florida mess, not to fall for a bossy lumberjack in flannel.

Trace MacKenzie is grumpy, stubborn, and way too good at pushing my buttons. One tequila-fueled night was supposed to be fun. Temporary. Harmless.
Then two pink lines turned everything upside down.

Now I’ve got a baby on the way, a town full of nosy knitters, and a mountain man who refuses to let me bolt. Trace insists we’re in this together but, I’ve never been anyone’s forever, just their complication.

He says I’m his choice. His family. His home.
And against all odds, I’m starting to believe him.

If you love laugh-out-loud banter, flannel-clad heroes, surprise baby chaos, and small-town romance with a heart, you’ll fall hard for Pregnant in Plaid.

3.75 stars. We sprinted through the story. I wish there was more development between the 2 main characters. And I found it frustrating that their friends kept asking them if they told the other their feelings yet. It'd been like 2 days. Chill.

I liked the last few chapters after the baby is born. Seeing them as terrified parents was fun and hearwarming.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Pregnant in Plaid de Annie Carlisle

Argumento:

Lamentablemente, y empiezo con esa palabra porque creí que seria una lectura entretenida, me la pasé mal leyéndola. Siempre comienzo con mi corazón abierto para los protagonistas pero no pude con Patricia, lo intenté pero no pude, este es mi largo descargo;

A romance comedy after my heart is something where I can laugh out loud sometimes or at least smile about something while reading. Unfortunately with this novel that wasn’t the case for me. In total there were maybe two or three situations I could smile about but mostly the humor seems to be rather flat, which might be caused by the frequently use of well known cliches. Which on the other side is exactly why so many comedians on stage are successful, I suppose. And I also know humor often lives from the technique of exaggerations.
For example, building a crib with the help of an instruction manual is rarely funny, because often these instructions are really badly written, but as exaggerated as the author makes fun here about two men, who work professionally in building wooden furniture for a living is not funny at all.
Ok, humor is something that has to meet your personal taste, and I can imagine that other readers might enjoy this. By the way I received a free ARC of his novel and I am leaving my honest personal review voluntarily here.

Another point against this novel ( sorry, this is an digression you don’t have to read but something I should have written about earlier regarding how the topic of pregnancy is handled in a lot of romance novels) is the cliched way how pregnancy is described (not only here but also in other novels) as one long suffering and something no woman should ever have to go through. Those cliches are often extended to several month long and whole days of morning sickness, including a lot of puking, waddling instead of walking starting around the fifth month, not being able to see your own feet starting at six month, always swollen ankles and pregnancy stripes which will never go away and let’s not speak what nursing does to your b…s. I can only recommend, ask your midwife what is really true about all that. There are also a lot of women in the world who have to work hard in physically straining jobs until the last day before birth, and still often can’t get enough food to keep themselves healthy.
And yes, I also can feel sympathy for women who have to suffer through heartburn or feeling sick during their pregnancy, but that isn’t a necessary norm (end of digression).

Another cliché I found not funny but annoying was, when the men went to the baby store and bought a lot of useless junk no sane mother and child won’t ever really need, especially if they read a lot of pregnancy books before, which should have been helpful to avoid those failures. But that’s also something when looking around I unfortunately can find in reality everywhere at present, where moms and dads seem to have too much baby stuff to carry around all the time.

But back to the novel: This story includes also some heavy topics and problems that are difficult to make through, which are life changing challenges nobody would ever ask for. The FMC is so devastated that things didn’t work out as hoped, she is feeling depressed and helpless about what life throws her way. It is difficult for sure, and feelings of insecureness about to handle the unexpected events and health crises you have to go through requires a lot of personal strength. And nobody has that ability all the time. So this part of the novel is realistically written and the author is rather knowledgeable about the topic.
What I additionally enjoyed was the description of nature and landscapes, the sense of community which seems to be great and remarkable in Alaska small towns.

DELUSION IS JUST OPTIMISM IN A PARTY HAT (3.5 stars)

The series takes place in the town of Ashwood Falls, Alaska. The story is a contemporary tale revolving around a one-night stand that resulted in a pregnancy. The story revolves around what happens when Patrice Henley returns to Ashwood Falls for her best friend Tessa's wedding to Gage. It seems that Patrice has been keeping a big secret, but now the truth is being revealed.

“Two pink lines. One impossible situation. And approximately seven months to figure out what I’m going to do.”

Trace MacKenzie and Patrice had one night together, and when he woke up, she had left his cabin, as well as the state of Alaska. While Gage is his friend, he never asks him about getting Patrice’s number, and she never had his. He figured her abrupt escape was how she felt—a one-night stand. So what a surprise to Trace when Bella and Patrice pull up to the cabin, and he realizes she is pregnant. Upset that she has traveled alone, pregnant, and where is the father—only to learn that he is the father and she has kept this secret from him.

The story has the quirkiness found in Ms. Annie Carlisle’s books, the characters are engaging, and the story concept is interesting. The inconsistencies in the timeline of the pregnancy were a bit confusing. While I wanted to like Trace and Patrice, I felt the story was like watching a dog chase its tail, stuck in a repetitive loop. Two people, who obviously had feelings for one another, can’t seem to carry on a serious conversation—regarding the baby they created—and the future. I felt he was willing to commit, while she was constantly planning to leave.

The new job in Anchorage falls through, and then at the wedding, she is offered her old job back in Florida, yet what about all her personal effects—clothing, household items, etc. It sounded like she had an apartment lined up to move into—just too many questions without answers. Considering the traits that are defined about her personality and organizational lifestyle, this doesn’t compute.
Yes, in the end, despite the trials they must face, they do each admit their feelings, and even start making plans for the future.

“Partners means we’re in this together. We both bring something to the table. We both make decisions. We both screw up and figure it out.”

This is my first read by Annie and I am a huge fan! This book is very well written and it is super hilarious! It appears she has an excellent sense of humor as well!

Patrice and Trace have a one-night stand. And here come the two pink lines. Great. Now what is she supposed to do? She decides not to tell him. She probably won’t see him again.

Seven months later she takes a job in Alaska. She decides to tell Trace that she’s pregnant. To say Trace was surprised is putting it mildly! The last time he saw her she did not look pregnant, that’s for sure!

But Trace wants to be there, not just for the baby, but for Patrice too. She just doesn’t trust that he won’t change his mind. Things are going along okay and then she finds out that the job she thought she had when she moved here is gone. They decided they didn’t need her services. Time to panic.

Trace reminds her that she’s not doing this alone anymore and he’s right there for her. And his mindset has changed. It’s not all about obligation – he truly wants to make it about her as well.

They decide to get married… just something small. And then the contractions begin… but it’s too early! She panics. They tell her that it’s okay. She just needs to stay in the NICU for a little while and then they can take her home. This process really hits them hard, but they are there for their little girl. And they finally name her!

Then they take her home where the real fun begins! Sleepless nights, crying, baby poop… you know, normal things that come with babies. Everything except a manual!

This book is filled with joy, love and don’t forget the “Great Diaper Disaster!” I totally enjoyed this book! Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. And I read it with a huge smile!

A 10 Star book in this reader’s opinion! You should definitely pick this book up. You are going to love it!

A one-night stand, a baby on the way, and a whole lot of small-town chaos. 👶🪵

📖 Pregnant in Plaid by Annie Carlisle
⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️
Genre: Small Town Romance

Tropes:
🌲 Carpenter/Lumberjack MMC
💋 One-night stand
🤰 Surprise pregnancy
🏡 Forced proximity
🍼 First-time parents
✨ Control freak FMC

After a spontaneous night with Trace, a rugged and sweet carpenter from Alaska, Patrice thought that was the end of their story—until a few weeks later when she finds out she’s pregnant. With her best friend’s wedding just months away, Patrice decides it’s time to return to Alaska and tell him the truth, setting off a journey neither of them expected.

This story really captures the whirlwind of first-time parent panic. Patrice’s constant worry about doing everything right, from confessing the pregnancy to preparing for motherhood, felt real and raw. It showcased the vulnerability and fear that come with stepping into completely new territory. Even though her anxiety took center stage, it was easy to empathize with her as she tried to figure out how to build a life she hadn’t planned for.

Trace, on the other hand, was steady as a rock—patient, reassuring, and always showing up for her no matter how chaotic things got. He truly embodied that small-town, dependable cinnamon-roll energy.

The pacing after the baby’s arrival slowed down a little, turning the story into a lighthearted glimpse of new parenthood—the sleepless nights, the learning curve, and all the “we’ll figure it out” moments that define it.

While the emotional depth could’ve been a bit stronger, Pregnant in Plaid is a cozy, feel-good, no-stakes romance about unexpected love, growth, and finding comfort in chaos. It’s a quick, easy read that leaves you smiling (and maybe chuckling at all the new-parent panic).

Thank you Booksirens and Annie Carlisle for this ARC! 💕

Inconsistent timeline

I really hate leaving negative reviews but I have to be honest. I downloaded this book because I occasionally like a good pregnancy trope and the cover was really cute.

The book starts off with the h finding out she’s pregnant and says it’s been 8 weeks. She gets a text from her bff saying she’s engaged. The very next chapter is in the H’s pov and he says it’s been 6 months when he gets the call that their bff’s are engaged. Then back to her pov and she will be in Alaska in 4 months which makes it 6 months later and she’s saying she’s 7 months pregnant. L

I decided to try to power through and see if it got better but it just doesn’t. She flies from Florida to Alaska 7 months pregnant? For a wedding? Or maybe an interview because at this point I’m so confused.

Then her and her bff (who literally just found out that her friend is 7 MONTHS pregnant) pull up to her cabin and the H is randomly there and can automatically see she’s pregnant. From the porch while she’s sitting inside a truck? (Insert eye roll)

Then when he’s told he’s the father he backs away and goes and chops firewood and the bff says that’s his way of processing but cut to the H’s pov and suddenly the bff is pissed at him for “processing”.

First of all, let’s normalize BOTH parents having the opportunity to panic when they find out. Why is it always okay for the woman to panic and freak out but the moment a man does he’s suddenly a jerk? He didn’t even leave the property. But because he didn’t help her inside he’s an a$$?

Then the h made a comment about how he didn’t get her number or know she was pregnant and I just couldn’t continue reading anymore.

This author really needs better friends and a new editor and publisher because this never should have been published the way it is.

Hard to get through it

Warning, this review has spoilers.

The FMC in this book was so incredibly difficult to like. She hid her pregnancy from the father of the baby for seven months. And considered never telling him about the baby. I can't support a woman who would think like that about a man who is not a bad guy. She constantly projected abandonment at him when she left him the morning after, and is generally causing problems for herself and him with her mental gymnastics blaming him for everything.

Then when he needs less than an hour to absorb the news, he is made to apologize and act like he has done some great wrong? It was just silly. Some continuity issues were pretty glaring. I think he started out as a Navy SEAL and then it switched to say he was an Army Ranger. He tried to follow her on Instagram after their night together but then no mention of that was ever made. That would've erased her 'you don't really want me' argument.

She was also a director level in another state and no mention is made of packing her belongings up or selling them, she seems to have arrived in Alaska with a big suitcase and two thousand dollars to find an apartment and start her new job. After stressing about insurance for a beat, it's never mentioned again.

The biggest annoyance by far though is that we never get a physical description of the FMC beyond brown eyes and her disparaging her pregnant body. Is her skin and hair dark or light? Is she tall or short or somewhere in between? Is she normally thin or curvy? I have no frame of reference for her and it makes everything feel more detached and less real. In the epilogue the MMC says something about her hair being curly. Really? First time we hear about it is in the epilogue??

This whole book was a mess. I tried a new to me author and wouldn't read another book by her.

PREGNANT IN PLAID by ANNIE CARLISLE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pregnant In Plaid is the sound (#2) book in the ASHWOOD FALLS series

After an unplanned one night stand with a hunky Lumberjack whilst visiting her best friend in Alaska, Patrice Henley finds herself back home in Florida, alone and eight weeks pregnant.

Arriving in Anchorage 5 months later for her best friends wedding , Patrice has to face the fact that she has to see Trace McKenzie, the baby’s daddy, knowing there’s no way to hide her bowling ball sized pregnancy, a pregnancy he knows nothing about.

Can the pair work through their worries, fears, and let’s face it, utter terror and find their way to their HEA??

————————————

This is a delightful, entertaining story. Though I haven’t read the first book in the series it definitely didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book and I found myself laughing out loud a couple of times.

As a single mum myself I could totally relate to Patrice’s anxiety over the possibility of raising her baby alone. Trace was just utterly adorable from the very beginning and I particularly liked the scene when he and Gage went ‘baby shopping’ and then tried to prepare the cabin. Hilarious!!

This is a lovely, light humorous and engaging read, the pages turned themselves.

I read an ebook edition, at around 284 pages, with an adorable cover and great editing, I highly recommend this book.

Pregnant In Plaid - Book 2 - Ashwood Falls - By - Annie Carlisle

This is the second book in the Ashwood Falls series and this story is about a grumpy lumberjack and a surprise baby! This story features
Patrice Henley, an uptight, spreadsheets obsessed director of finance who we first met in book one, she isTessa's best friend and the delicious Trace MacKenzie who we also met in book one. He is Gage's best friend. After Trace and Patrice share one passionate night together they had no idea what that night would mean to them both seven months later. Brought together again they have to find a way to work together to bring their baby into the world and maybe find the happiness within one another that they are both longing to find as well as navigate upcoming parenthood and their best friends wedding. This story was well written with good character building. Trace was everything I had hoped he would be. Patrice at times frustrated me at times as she repeated the same lines/arguments and I found her actions were selfish but she was also navigating what was happening and her own insecurities so I gave her grace due to that. Great one liners and Trace and Gage with the baby shopping and assembly were Comedy gold. Gage also gave wisdom which was endearing. Overall I did enjoy this story and found it a great follow on from the first. Happy Reading.
Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given.
4.5 out of 5 stars.

Oh, the second book in this series is just as addictive as the first!

The town of Ashwood Falls Alaska is home to Gage and Tessa now, and if you haven't read their story, I would recommend doing so before this one, to avoid spoilers.

Both Gage and Trace chose to reside in this town after their time serving in the Army together. When Tessa arrived, and found her HEA with Gage, it made sense for her best friend to come visit. Only, Patrice visited, spent a night with Trace, and went home with an extra special surprise.

The way she handled that surprise made me a bit frustrated at first, but things began to settle for me when she chose to reveal her pregnancy to the people in Alaska. I ADORED the way Trace behaved and the support shown from the community for the couple. There are easy emotions to connect with, and like I said, some frustrations with her behavior that do work themselves out. It has serious topics as well a very humorous ones, so be ready for "the feels".

I recommend this series, as these characters are easy to love and the storyline moves well. I look forward to the next new release from this author, and recommend looking into others in her catalog. I received an ARC from Booksirens (thank you) and my thoughts are my own.

Wow - so good! I laughed and I cried and I wanted to give Patrice a big shake! I understand being scared being unexpectedly pregnant. HOWEVER, A) Trace couldn’t have been more supportive and determined to be involved and B) if things DID fall apart in the future, being a single mom in Ashwood Falls, where not only her best friend but a whole townful of support was available, would be a better outcome than being alone in Florida. It seemed like Patrice was punishing Trace for things SHE didn’t tell him and for being honest that he was scared. She was so locked into her “I’m independent” armor that she took every offer of help as a threat and then her first response was to run away. But through it all, Trace was just wonderful - steadfast, reliable, present, honest and loving. Patrice almost let her fears ruin the best relationship of her life - she really lucked out with him! Have a couple tissues handy!

Patrice is a complex woman. She seems so confident at first but has to be the most wishy, washy person I've seen. She is a control freak who is literally afraid of everything! Trace is simply too good to be true. Most men would be pretty upset to find out a women had hid a pregnancy from them for 7 months, then to just show up out of the blue acting like he was at fault that she has gone thru the pregnancy alone. I was mad at Patrice on behalf of Trace. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. By chapter 14, I really, really didn't like Patrice and think that Trace is better off without her and he should keep the baby and raise it himself because Patrice is a selfish brat who can't decide on anything but bad choices!! My favorite part of this story was the bachelor party. I can't imagine anyone having a bachelor party quite like this one. Absolutely priceless!! Funniest part was when Trace changed the baby's diaper for the first time, hilarious!! I did warm up to Patrice by the end of the book but it was a rough ride, lol. Excellent read!

An absolutely delightful romance from one of my favorite authors! Patrice Henley was visiting her dear friend, Tessa, in Ashwood Falls, Alaska when her world changed forever. An amazing night spent with former SEAL, Trace MacKenzie, will change her future in a way she never expected. Now, seven months pregnant and returning to Florida, for Tessa and Gage’s wedding, she knows that she will see Trace. How will he react when he sees her? He is shocked when he sees Patrice, heavily pregnant and knowing that their future is now connected in ways he never imagined, but had hoped for. Before she left, he had wanted to pursue a relationship with her, but will she give him a chance, now? The humorous dialog and situations between them from the very first pages, makes the book flow so smoothly as they deal with the adjustments in the new life they had created. The scenes involving preparing for the baby’s needs will have you laughing out loud. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

ARC Review – Pregnant in Plaid by Annie Carlisle

4.5 stars! This one was an absolute delight. Grumpy × sunshine, surprise baby chaos, mountain-man vibes, and small-town meddling… basically all my favourite tropes in one cosy, flannel-wrapped package. Thank you BookSirens and Annie Carlisle for the ARC — honest review left voluntarily.

Patrice and Trace were hilarious, stubborn, and secretly soft together — their chemistry had me grinning nonstop. The banter? Elite. The emotional constipation? Delicious. The found-family moments with Tessa and Gage? Perfection.

I took off half a star because a few lines felt repetitive, but honestly the humour, sweetness, and heart more than made up for it. If you love laugh-out-loud romcoms with a swoony lumberjack MMC and a chaotic sunshine FMC, you’ll adore this. 💛

Pregnant in Plaid by Annie Carlisle offers a cozy, light-hearted small-town romance with a grumpy lumberjack, unexpected baby drama, and some sweet, funny moments. The premise—a one-night stand, a surprise pregnancy, and a baby daddy you didn’t know—has its charm, and I appreciated seeing the characters navigate fear, uncertainty, and eventual parenthood.
What held me back a bit was the pacing: the romance and emotional development between the leads felt rushed, and friends kept pushing for confessions far too soon — it dragged me out of the story sometimes. Still, the last chapters after the baby is born brought warmth and genuine family feels, which made the ending satisfying.
If you’re looking for an easy, entertaining read with humor, baby-on-the-way chaos, and small-town vibes — this one does the trick.

This is book 2 in Annie Carlisle's Ashwood Falls series. A great addition to the series that can be read as a standalone. This book delights with its humor. Our main characters are Patrice and Trace. Patrice has a one-night stand while in Alaska visiting her bestie and returns to Florida pregnant. After several months she returns to Alaska and has to face baby daddy Trace and tell him the truth. I like how this book follows them from beginning thru life with a new baby and all the adjustments that are made but for me I found this to be a quick and easy read that made me laugh. Looking forward to seeing what's next in this series!

Patrice Henley is in Alaska to see her best friend Tessa, who recently moved in with her boyfriend Gage. They go out and meet up with Trace MacKenzie. One thing leads to another and Patrice finds herself pregnant two months later. She’s seven months pregnant when she heads to Alaska for Tessa’s wedding. It’s a surprise for Tessa and Trace. I loved Trace but I didn’t care for Patrice when she started to panic about everything. She was too over the top as a character. Trace was calm on the outside but scared on the inside. Gage and Tessa were great and very supportive of their friends. I mostly enjoyed this book and do recommend it. Even though I didn’t care for Patrice I did find this a good read.

This story blends small‑town charm, humour, and heartfelt emotion, but what truly anchors the story is its persistent exploration of connections —unity within families, within communities, and within oneself. The book’s charm lies in how it effortlessly focuses on the journey to harmony and the willingness to show up for one another. The plaid motif—woven throughout the story—seems a clever symbol and device used by the author: one of many threads, different colours, intersecting to create something stronger. It’s about connection—messy, heartfelt, and deeply human. Whether through community antics, family bonds, or personal growth, the novel celebrates the ways people come together when it matters most. Lovely warm winter story.

After leaving the Army Trace and his friend Gage come to Ashwood Falls live. Gage falls in love with Tessa and finds their happy ending. At the wedding Trace meets Tessa’s friend Patrice and the two have a wonderful fun night. Great memories and two pink lines later gives Patrice something else to remember that night. Oh when she goes back to Ashwood seven months pregnant Trace and the town all support and stand by the couple.

Humour, emotions, chemistry. Trace needs to show Patrice he is the man for her and knows what commitment and love are/

This a fast easy romance ready. If you want something with light-hearted drama you'll find this fights the ticket.

Where the book lost me:

• The pregnancy reveal time -- It was confusing and didn't make sense to me.

• Redundant dialogue -- multiple scenes with exact word-for-word dialogue replicated three times.

• Story inconsistency -- Former Navy SEALS turned into Army Rangers

The female characters are cute and a little annoying. The male characters are gruff and clueless. A decent balance to ingratiate you in their relationships.

The emotional vulnerability in this book was good. It was my first time reading one of the author's books and I'm game to try again.

The second book in the Ashwood Falls series follows Tessa's best friend Patrice as she navigates the aftermath of a one night stand with Trace (Gage's best friend).

This was a quick and easy to read rom-com with some genuine dialogue regarding the fears and anxieties of a first time (potential...) single mother.

That said, I felt that it lacked the chemistry of the first book. The character tropes were too obvious and didn't engage me as much as I would have liked but I'm still looking forward to the next one in the series.

‘Pregnant in Plaid’ was sweet. The pleasing plot involved a one-night stand, a bundle on the way, a freaked-out dad-to-be, a friend’s upcoming wedding, humor, relationship angst, running away, a hospital run, confessing feelings, and more humor. Trace and Patrice, the protagonists, were soulmates. I kept rooting for them. Additionally, I liked the author’s vivid details, which created a lively tone. Finally, Trace’s character was advertised as a grump, but I found him to be supportive throughout. Overall, I liked the exuberant narrative. dnf when I realized I didnt really care what happened to these characters.
fmc finds out shes pregnant after a one night stand and doesnt tell mmc because he didnt get her number and she didnt get his last name. but hes her best friends fiancés best friend...it would have been super easy to contact him. Then once he knows she never gives him a choice of being involved or not. My final straw was when author forgot mmc was a navy seal and changed it to army ranger. Oh and I just want to point out, hes referred to as a grumpy lumberjack in the synopsis. Hes not grumpy at all and hes a carpenter.

Patrice left from Florida to visit her best friend Tessa in Alaska. After a one-night stand with Tessa's boyfriend Gage's best friend, Trace, she found she was pregnant. She did not have a phone number for Trace so the first time he found out he would be a father was at 7 months when Patrice flew back to Alaska. I really enjoyed the support Gage and Tessa gave to both Patrice and Trace. Trace had been thinking of Patrice ever since she left and really wanted to become a family with her. Preparing for the delivery was full of humor as both Patrice and Trace had no idea what to do. Great characters, wonderful small-town gossip and care, and wonderful romance full of love and patience.

I love returning to Ashwood Falls, Alaska. Patrice is an independent, career driven marketing executive. When visiting her friend, Tessa, in Alaska leads to the best night of her life. That will change her life forever. Trace spent a fantastic night with Patrice, but the next morning she boarded a plane and left Alaska. Seven months later Patrice returns to Ashwood Falls for Tessa’s wedding pregnant and facing Trace to tell him he is going to be a father. Strong willed and stubborn both Patrice and Trace face the future together.

3⭐1🌶️ ARC First Person Dual POV
Patrice and Trace

I liked the overall tropes of the story, and really liked Trace. He's a great guy and once he knew about the pregnancy, he was all in. A very dedicated, nervous, first time father doing all the right things.
I did not enjoy Patrice though. She (and Tessa) were too hard on Trace. It was never explained why she thinks she's a "complication".
Multiple times there was repetitive dialogue, almost word for word, that felt annoying.

"I'm not here to help; I'm here to mock" -Ben

Patrice's turn Yes! I do love when we get to come back and read side characters get a turn for romance, because we already fell for them in a pervious book. And thus one not only do we get Patrice but Trace as well, I am swooning. The writing is very descriptive. When the author describes Trace you know not only looks but smell and what he tastes like. Did I mention swooning.I missed Tessa and love that I can read her brand of crazy again. The doctor's appointment should be reason enough to read this book.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I enjoyed this addition to Ashwood Falls series. Patrice and Trace hit it off one night before She flys back to Florida. What she didn’t know is she was also bringing back a little addition. Seven months pregnant she decides to move to Alaska and attend her bff’s wedding knowing she’s going to be face to face with the father. Trace is blown away because he’s never stopped thinking about her. Now she’s back and very pregnant with his baby. Can they work out a future together? I enjoyed their journey.
