In the blink of an eye, Jackson Avery's life in Stillwell went from easy street from a battlefield. Thanks to the town's wicked matriarch, his personal and professional life are now under attack from a half-dozen directions at once--and everyone from his HR department to the professors at his college are getting involved.
Untangling this mess will require the help of the entire Delta Rho sorority. It's a test of bonds like none Jack has ever faced before, but with the beautiful women who've changed his life by his side, anything is possible. Even getting his sports car back from the repair shop feels like an omen of better days ahead.
Can Jack unify Delta Rho to his cause and finish his final semester at Stillwell? And what IS this mysterious secret the coeds are so desperate to share with him, anyway?
This “book” could’ve been an email, or heck even a text message. It was basically just a couple of chapters and not even remotely worth it.
Then we come to the “confrontation” with Elizabeth…. It was beyond stupid, she is literally threatening and extorting everyone to get what she wants. Oh let me extort the business owner to keep them there, then let me extort Jack into coming for a meeting BY ADMITTING OUT LOUD that I have caused all of this and “one phone call” can solve it. She’s admitting to blackmail, extortion, and felonies in public! Seriously a business like that will have cameras that record audio and video, or why didn’t the girls immediately start recording when she showed up? Literally just an audio recording of her admitting all this solves everything and puts her in a world of crap.
For supposedly being such “smart” people they all act REALLY stupid when the author wants to manufacture some drama.
This is a great series, full of plots with blind spots, deep curves, and anxious hills and valleys. The characters just continue to become stronger and stronger and maybe more importantly - more and more likable and inspiring. I hope there are many more books in the series. Great job by the author!
Good story line and a fun read. But had to give it a 4 simply because of the ending, Hangers for the next one is more than tolerable, especially if the next is available, But this was like running into a wall. This book can't even hop on one foot without some kind of closure. Now that only beckons one question......When?
I never knew I would would be so infatuated by a story like this, but I just can’t put it down! The characters and drama that’s happening is so enticing! I can’t wait for the next one!
Normally the author produces about 1/3 of a book in these issues. But, this time we only got about 1/6 of a book … and … nothing … happened. The plot has not significantly advanced. I think the author has lost interest or just run out of ideas. Either way, this unbelievable “fantasy” of male insecurity is probably fizzling out. But that’s ok, stamina issues are common for a protagonist of a certain age. :-).
