Gregory has never felt the need to change for anyone or anything. It’s who he’s always been, and he’s gotten through life like that just fine so far. Some would even go as far as to say he’s set in his ways, but what do you expect from a four-hundred-year-old vampire? Knox is down on his luck. Just lost his job, and he’s about to be kicked out of his apartment. Matty told him to go see about a job at his uncle’s hotel, but Knox doesn’t like feeling like someone’s charity case. Personally, you would think his predicament rather strange for a vampire, but he’s still rather new to the whole vampire life since he’s only been one for about twenty years now. He hasn’t gotten into the swing of investing or planning for a future that’ll stretch over a span of several hundred years. However, when Knox stumbles into Gregory’s life, everything becomes chaos, and yet it all starts to click into place. Whether either of them would care to admit it, though.
Generation death is a MM vampire age gap paranormal romance. This story can be read as a standalone.
Bite me Book 1: Mistakenly departed Book 2: Kinda Dead inside Book 3: Coffin for Two Book 4: Bite Me at the Altar
Double double sin and trouble Batty for Matty Generation death
This is my first time reading anything by Jennifer, but it won't be the last for sure. Generation Death can be read as a standalone in the Bite Me series. The story is told in two POV's, Gregory and Knox. I got the honour of getting to read the story as an ARC reader.
When the story and the character development were good. I can not give this story full marks, however. The story starts out strong, and it has a lot of potential. Though for me it feels like the story was a bit too rushed, and certain plot points were not explored as much as they could be. It feels like the ending comes completely out of nowhere and leaves more to be desired. I understand that the story was meant to be a little more open-ended. Though a story can be left open-ended and still not be rushed.
I like the story behind Generation Death. I like Gregory and Knox as characters, but it seemed like so much was rushed into it. This includes their relationship. Gregory fell and did so hard for Knox. I get the point. Though his character seemed like he wouldn't be that type of character, especially not at first. Did it deduct from the story? Only a little bit, I still enjoyed the story. The true rush I felt came towards what was meant as the climax of the story. It felt almost as if the story was at the top, and then instead of a slow descent, the story went down so quickly, and something was even lost that might have been intended.
Would I love to read more of what happened with Knox, Gregory, and the Haze? Yes. Though would I have loved it if this story were a bit slower? Yes. Do I want a story of Felix? Yes.
As I have never read any of the Bite Me series, I do not know if this is how all of the works are. I know some series like to develop through the series. Though as a standalone... this isn't always the case.
I love how these two make zero sense to get but are also absolutely perfect together at the same time. This is absolute opposites attract with a dash of fated mate.
We have our old, lonely, grumpy vampire who is tied to the hotel. Then we have this young, social, but kind of lost and needing purpose.
I love the push and pull between these two and the way the hotel throws a tantrum. This was a fun and quick read.
this is my first ever read my Jennifer, and i will definitely be reading the other stories in the bite me series! When i received this arc i didn’t know it was part of a series, but glad it could be read as a standalone.
this book is dUal POV which i absolutely love. I loved the story and both MMC. It was well written, the characters were great, it was a cute little read!
Generation Death is another lovely romp in the Bite Me series. It can easily be read as a standalone, but as the rest of the series is the definition of fun, why would you. Modern vamps have it so much harder than centuries old ones. At four hundred, Gregory is wealthy. He's also a rule follower, a stodgy grump. Twenty years a vamp, Knox is a bit of a mess, broke, jobless and on the verge of being evicted. He's sunny and bright. But hasn't a clue for acquiring the wealth needed for a long afterlife. Our Matty gets him a job with Gregory. Besides the ginormous age gap, they are totally opposites. But Gregory needs someone to get him out of his funk, and Knox needs some nurturing. Together, the spice is darn near combustible. Toss in a sentient hotel with very, VERY, strong opinions and we get a quick, enjoyable read. Really love this series. Want more. I received an advanced copy of this ebook and this is my review.
Gregory and Knox's story was a great continuation to this series. This one was a little different following Knox into a new job at a possibly haunted hotel with a boss he finds wildly attractive. Gregory is a set in his ways trying to hold it together type of vampire, who just needs to keep the hotel and his attraction to Knox under control at all costs but the real question is... can he?
This one had some fun supernatural elements and while slower paced, it did have a sweet romance, a bit of spicy times, and an interesting twist at the end. Hope there is another book in the series soon, maybe with a feature of these characters again.
I read this book as an ARC Review, and all reviews are my personal options based on my preferences.
Knox is having a string of bad luck. Everything seems to be going wrong for him. He's lost his job, and he's been evicted. His friend Matty basically offers him a job at his uncle Gregory's hotel. Gregory is a very much older vampire who's very staid and by the book. He's also very lonely and Knox is a breath of fresh air. The attraction and chemistry between them both is scorching hot. I really enjoyed the push and pull between them and I absolutely loved the hotel as a character.
I love me some paranormal romance and I could never pass it up. But when i found out this was a vampire mm age gap romance. I was so excited. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it. Heaven I was ij heaven. I couldn't stop reading Gregory and Knox's story. It's action packed, great plot and storyline.
She write it, I read it, period. Even though this series has a time line it does not get confusing if you don't want to start from the first book super entertaining to see how Knox kick every wall that Gregory put up in his life time. Knox is gentle with him but won't be push away.
