When I recruit my Christmas-loving roommate for a holiday charity fundraiser, I don’t expect a kiss under the mistletoe to unravel everything.
We have three days to rack up as many points as possible and Brin is the perfect person to do this with—she exudes enthusiasm and energy, especially when it comes to the holidays.
I would know—we share a room in an apartment in New York City. It’s close quarters. Too close, judging by how often I catch myself thinking about her. I know how she sounds in the shower and where she keeps her favorite toy…
Things I try not to think about, because Brin is also too kind, too small-town sweet for someone like me. My job as the personal assistant to one of the wealthiest trust fund socialites in Manhattan is to be his fixer—when he needs someone to be an asshole, I’m the one he calls. And I'm good at my job, because that’s what I’ve done all my life, pushing away everyone I loved.
As we race around the city ice skating, eating sufganiyot, honoring the winter solstice, and yes, kissing under the mistletoe, I discover Brin has some secrets of her own, and I may be just the type of man she needs.
Chock-full of holiday cheer and pining, these best friends and roommates will realize that they compliment each other everywhere that matters. Cuddle up for a cozy and hot winter wonderland!
I spent ten years traveling the world on a sailboat with my husband. He is not a secret rockstar, nor a grumpy farmer, nor a coworker I accidentally saw naked. I only see him naked intentionally.
Many of my books are based on my travels all over the world – from the Caribbean to Polynesia to Europe. I know exactly how big the world is—having sailed around it—and exactly how small it is, having bumped in to friends worldwide. I’ve been a dishwasher, an engineer, a CEO, and occasionally I get paid to write or sail.
Now I’m in my small town era, both in fiction and real life. I live in Western Massachusetts with a big backyard that would be perfect for a goat if only SOMEONE would let me have one. I like my men to be sweethearts, the bedroom door wide open (with a splash of something new!) and the women to be independent and mature.
This holiday novella has characters I felt were so relatable, likable and I had a good understanding of who they are as people. Brin and Marco are opposites especially around Christmas time, Brin is all about the tinsel and cheer and Marco is happy to ignore it all. He has a good reason. When the two roommates join a NYC wide holiday, scavenger hunt for charity, they begin rushing around the city to do all the holiday themed tasks. It was a really fun time! It’s so entertaining, I got to know the characters and it made me feel the excitement of the holiday’s as well. It also brings a not great character into the story who provides tension and a layer to the pair’s story. Brin and Marco have a pretty smooth transition from friends who are roommates to being lovers. It gets very steamy with a bit of delicious holiday spice! I love their chemistry together. I think because they already know each other well and care it makes the butterflies just as fantastic, just in a different way. Brin is easygoing and kind. Marco is really thoughtful and he’s protective of Brin. I feel like they balance each other and really care deeply and unselfishly. The secondary characters add even more heart and warmth to an emotional, clever and steamy holiday romance. It’s such a great read with depth and fun. Another fantastic addition to this author’s holiday series. I recommend this one very highly as I do all the previous books.

While I enjoyed the other novellas in this series, Run Run Roommate missed the mark for me.
I felt it was too long (almost 40% longer than the first two) and that there was too much going on.
We have two roommates secretly in love with each other – mind you, they share a ROOM, not an apartment – and they take part in a Christmas scavenger hunt for charity. OK great. Looking forward to the Christmassy shenanigans and I wonder if they fall in love teehee.
But there are also a billionaire boss, disgruntled employees, a slimy sexual harassing douchebag, a sugar daddy app, first time sex, massive debt, a sibling who has passed away, parents disinheriting someone for being queer, various friends and colleagues… I cannot keep up.
Way too much for a cute novella! It made me want to DNF but I was hoping it would get better.
Great idea for a story though, I could see the Hallmark movie in my mind if I ignored most of the rest.
I received an ARC of this book (thanks!) and these are my own opinions.
This book completely surprised me. I almost applied by accident and then realized it’s part of a series, but it worked perfectly as a standalone and gave me such a lovely reading experience.
It’s steamy and funny, with moments that made me laugh out loud and others that had my heart racing. The chemistry between the characters was fantastic, and their playful, real interactions kept me fully engaged.
The situations were so much fun — especially representing your boss in a scavenger hunt in New York! That twist added energy and humor, making the story lively and entertaining throughout.
This is my first Liz Alden book and I have to say... It will not be my last!!!
The book was a perfect balance of warmth, humor, and spice. The chemistry between Brin and Marco absolutely sizzles, but it’s their emotional connection and care for each other that make the story shine. Liz has such a talent for writing characters who feel real: flawed, kind, and quietly brave.
The festive setting adds the perfect touch of magic without ever feeling overdone. It’s sweet, steamy, and full of heart. It is everything I want in a holiday romance.

A cute little holiday novella. Let’s tick off the tropes! Age gap Close proximity (roommates) Grumpy/sunshine Christmas themed Scavenger hunt Friends to lovers
The story moves quickly and it gets to the point. It was cute to see these two characters work together through scavenger hunt challenges, run around New York City, and do their best to fight back the attraction that they clearly have for one another. When things heat up, the intimate scenes were well written and sexy. I appreciated the on page conversation surrounding safe sex practices. The purity culture divestment on the FMC’s side felt like a loose thread.
I will say that Marco is very clearly a MMC written by a woman. By which I mean any opportunity to be overtly “feminist” is taken. It’s not done in a way that’s more nuanced, but rather one that is very direct and comes across a little forced. For her part, very little of this same overture is undertaken by the FMC, Brin. And it makes the age gap aspect just a little bit awkward. All of which detracts a touch from more well rounded character development and growth.
I’ve got to say, I’m such a sucker for Liz’s holiday novellas and this one was another great read. Set in and around the same time line as the Ghost of ex-mas past, we meet Bea’s roommates Marco and Brin. They have an unusual set up when they are roommates on the most literal sense, sharing a room in separate beds for over a year. This little novella is full of Christmas festivities, with a scavenger hunt challenge to keep us entertained. Marco has been sent to complete in the challenges to represent his boss, but he is the most grinchiest grinch so he enlists the help of his Christmas loving roommate Brin. Both hugely unawares of each others crushes so we all know how that is going to pan out! - Deliciously spicy and soon only one bed is needed in their room. Loved the gentle caretaker side of Marco and helping Brin build her confidence.

4 Star Review Run, Run, Roommates (Winter Wanderlust #4) by Liz Alden
Liz Alden is a relatively new author to me but what I have read I enjoyed.
I love stories set around the holidays. It’s a time to get together with family and friends. Thus is Marco and Brin’s friends to lovers story as one that ticked numerous boxes for me.
I enjoyed their journey as their relationship developed. I fell hard and fast for Marco and Brin, they are easy to relate to and I quickly became invested in their story.
would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book
a scavenger hunt
whilst marco thinks hes gonna have a leisurely time for a couple of weeks what he doesnt know is that his boss has signed him up for a scavenger hunt with the words dont embarrass me...
luckily for marco his room mate brin agrees to do this scavenger hunt with him
what neither suspect is that they both really like each other and feelings are going to get in the way of this hunt....
and with christmas nearly upon them its going to be hard to hide their feelings
its not a bad storyline one for the christmas lovers out there with a bit of holiday romance people will love
I always LOVE Alden’s novellas — they’re my comfort reads. I know I’m getting a great story, likable characters, and plenty of steam 🔥. This one didn’t disappoint! The scavenger hunt storyline was adorable, the friends-to-lovers trope was perfection, and I also appreciated the deeper layer Alden added this time. If you are looking for a Christmas romance with some spice, I recommend this one!
Thank you to the author for an advanced copy. Opinions are my own.
Run, Run, Roommates is the fourth book in author Liz Alden’s Winter Wanderlust series and it’s every bit as enjoyable as the first three. Full of banter, spicy bits, impossible situations and heartwarming moments, you will love it. Although perfectly compatible roommates, Brin and Marco seem like total opposites: he’s the personal assistant to one of the wealthiest trust fund socialites in Manhattan and can be as ruthless as necessary to fix whatever needs to be fixed. Brin is soft and sweet and willing to help whenever and wherever.
Marco is convinced everyone views him as a cold-hearted jerk and that’s how he views himself – not a good guy. Brin is convinced she’s a walking disaster; her super religious judgmental parents are disappointed, she’s made bad money decisions, bad dating decisions. If not for Marco, she wouldn’t even have a place to stay. There’s some secret crushing going on on both sides of this relationship, but neither of them is aware of how the other might feel and both of them value the friendship too much to jeopardize it.
Both Brin and Marco have experienced tough times. Brin’s response is to be upbeat, to look at the bright side, to try and tamp down her guilt and insecurities; she loves everything about Christmas. Marco has taken the opposite approach: up close and personal tragedy has made him withdraw and shut down. He hates Christmas with a vengeance. But it looks like things just might change when Marco’s boss signs him up for a holiday charity scavenger hunt and fundraiser and Marco talks Brin into helping him.
It's so much fun watching the two of them run around town, finding special spots and special items – and finding out they might not be so opposite after all. Marco is tender and protective and caring; he just needs someone to see beneath the tough exterior and help him through his past trauma. Brin is understanding, insightful, sweet; she just needs someone to believe in her, to convince her a mistake is just a mistake, not the end of the world. Thanks to author Liz Alden for providing an advance copy of Run, Run, Roommates. It was sexy, surprising and totally satisfying. And we got a little peek back at a couple of favorite characters from the previous book. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.
Run, Run, Roommates by Liz Alden is a charming, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that perfectly blends witty banter, slow-burn tension, and plenty of spice. The story centers around two roommates whose friendship has always been easy until lines start to blur and feelings begin to surface. What begins as playful teasing and everyday domestic chaos slowly evolves into undeniable attraction, forcing both characters to question whether crossing that line is worth the risk of losing their friendship. As the story unfolds, Alden brings in heartwarming moments of vulnerability, hilarious mishaps, and the kind of tension that keeps you grinning from ear to ear. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Review 4/5 stars Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and Liz Alden for providing me with an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s the perfect mix of humour, spice, and heartfelt moments. The chemistry between the leads is electric from the start, and I loved watching their friendship grow into something deeper. There’s an easy charm to how Alden captures everyday moments such as shared breakfasts, late-night talks, inside jokes and then turns them into something swoon-worthy.
The humour was spot-on, adding lightness without ever taking away from the emotional depth of the story. The spicy scenes were well-balanced and added to the intimacy rather than feeling gratuitous. Both main characters had distinct personalities, and I appreciated that they weren’t perfect; their flaws made them more relatable and made their growth throughout the story that much more satisfying.
Overall, Run, Run, Roommates is a feel-good, flirty read that delivers exactly what you want from a rom-com — great chemistry, genuine laughs, and a romance that leaves you smiling. It’s a four-star read I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, spicy escape filled with charm and heart.
Liz Alden thank you for writing such an incredible book! I had such a great time getting to know Marco & Brin! These two will take you on a fun ride while they do a scavenger hunt and try to figure out if they will be just friends or turn into more. Once I started this book I hated when I had to stop because it was so entertaining and I couldn't wait to see what was going to be next on their list.
Marco and Brin have been roommates for awhile and have gotten to be close friends. When Marco's boss William wants him to do a Scavenger Hunt around NY for charity he asks Brin to be is partner. OMG you will laugh so much with some of these because these two are just extra sometimes. LOL...As they get closer because of this scavenger hunt they start opening up to each other more about their pasts. Marco hates Christmas and with her help he may be able to finally over come some of that trauma.
Brin has had a past trauma with a guy she went on a date with on a dating app. So she's been closed off for awhile but with Marco it's so easy to be herself with him. These two have such great chemistry and I just LOVED that. Marco will have you SWOONING like crazy!
This book had me laughing, swooning, smiling, I had some emotional moments, and then she left us with a sweet ending! I had such a great time with these characters and I can't wait to see what Liz writes next. This is the PERFECT book to put you in the holiday spirit. I HIGHLY recommend this novella.
Thank you Liz Alden for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.
This fourth installment in Liz Alden‘s Winter Wanderlust series of holiday novellas was a sweet friends/roommates to lovers romance. The beating heart of this story are Marco and Brin. He’s a bit of grinch when it comes to the festive season and she is full of Christmas cheer, which is always a fun springboard for a holiday story. They have a great connection, both wanting to be there for one another as friends and, of course, they’re both fighting a secret attraction to one another! On the whole, the characters were definitely the stand out in my reading experience of RRR. It was so fun to watch Brin and Marco fall!
Alden makes the most of the NYC setting and there’s an enjoyable holiday in the city vibe throughout. The one down for me is the SHiNY of it all. I wasn’t overly engaged by the holiday hunt, maybe because it reminds me of the plot device of many a Hallmark Christmas movie. Still, this is a minor quibble and very much a matter of my personal taste. Still, Alden makes the device her own, and I can see how other readers might enjoy the approach.
So, if you’re looking for a festive novella to jumpstart start your holiday reading list, Alden’s Run, Run, Roommates has enough sweet and spice to satisfy!
I’m grateful to the author for an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the fourteenth book by Liz Alden that I have read. I’m clearly a fan! I got hooked on her books with her first series – Love and Wanderlust – and I’ve read all of her books since then! I really enjoy her writing style and I love all the fun locations that she uses for the setting of each book.
In Run, Run, Roommates, we meet Marco and Brin, roommates who are participating in a scavenger hunt around the city to support charities. The scavenger hunt was such a fun idea! It was clearly crafted towards bringing our two characters closer together, and I loved that! This is a novella, so it’s a little shorter than your typical novel, and I felt that the scavenger hunt aspect also made for a quick read. This is one you should definitely pick up if you don’t want to jump into a long read around the holidays!
As we get to know Marco and Brin throughout the story, we learn how they became roommates and their feelings towards each other. As the scavenger hunt progresses, so does their relationship. Marco and Brin are a great couple and I really enjoyed their story. This is a spicy novella, so be prepared! I would definitely recommend picking up this story!
It's the time of year when I start reading holiday novellas, and I always enjoy Liz Alden's. Marco and Brin are best friends and roommates. Marco is the jaded, worldly fixer for a rich NYC socialite. Brin is an optimistic, slightly naive 20-something, working as a waitress and struggling to pay off debt she acquired when she first moved to the city. They met at a bar when she was losing her housing and have been living together platonically ever since, although they both feel a major attraction to each other.
Marco is the Bah Humbug type when it comes to the holidays, while Brin loves them, so when Marco's employer asks him to do a pairs Xmas scavenger hunt spanning several days to benefit a local charity, he knows just the person to pair up with. From there, the two set off to do a variety of holiday themed challenges to win points that will net a large charitable contribution. Spending so much time together inevitably leads to deeper feelings and it was very cute to watch them finally admit give in to their mutual attraction. I enjoyed the dual POVs, and the holiday spirit that infused the story. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.
First and foremost, thank you to Liz Alden, Summary: We have three days to rack up as many points as possible, and Brin is the perfect person to do this with. She exudes enthusiasm and energy, especially when it comes to the holidays. Sharing a small New York City apartment, the close quarters make it impossible not to notice her. Between ice skating, holiday treats, and mistletoe kisses, the two roommates discover that they might just complement each other in all the right ways.
Short and Sweet Opinion: Run Run Roommates is a cozy holiday novella with sweet pining, festive cheer, and just enough steam to keep it fun. I enjoyed the vibe, but it didn’t fully connect for me.
In Depth Opinion: This was a cute, light holiday novella with a fun premise and cozy winter vibes. Brin and her roommate have a charming dynamic, and I liked the little moments of chemistry sprinkled throughout. That said, I didn’t feel deeply connected to the characters or the story, and I think it could have used either a bit more length for character depth or tighter pacing to really land. Overall, it was an enjoyable, festive read, perfect for a quick winter read, but not one that left a lasting impression. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could!
🍪Waitress Brin and her roommate Marco, a PA to a NYC billionaire, have a close relationship. You have to when you’re literally sharing a room. Marco’s protective over the former country girl but she’s also his best friend.
☃️When Marco’s boss William signs him up to participate in a Christmas themed charity scavenger hunt, Brin’s all in to help him raise the most amount for charity. Working together sees the pair scuttling across town, tackling new experiences and being as creative as possible to rack up points.
❄️But in the process of spending so much time together, these two may just be able to admit to the feelings and attraction they have for each other.
✏️Liz Alden’s writing is always a treat, and this latest instalment in her sweet holiday themed stories is no different. The characters deal with their sexuality, opening themselves up to scrutiny and getting decidedly steamy in the process. It’s a novella but there’s a fully formed story taking place. It’s fun, sweet and charming read ✨✨✨

Set in New York City at Christmas time, Marco asks his roommate Brin to help him with a charity scavenger hunt that his boss assigned him to. While Marco hates Christmas, Brin loves it but hasn't had the time to enjoy it between her jobs. As they enjoy the season together, they start to tip over the line after a fateful mistletoe moment.
I thought it was an interesting comparison of "good" guys vs Marco's hard exterior. Their religious parents were judgmental and unwelcoming (or worse in Marco's case) and the subplot with the friend packed a punch in this novella. I loved seeing Marco treasure Brin's softness. Marco may have more bedroom experience, but it sounded like he only did flings. Yet without realizing it, he had centered his life around Brin, committing to her even before they crossed into a physical relationship.
This novella features: 🎄 Roommates to Lovers 🎄 Multicultural holidays 🎄 Complicated feelings around Christmas 🎄 Scavenger hunt for charity 🎄 Protective and Bisexual MMC 🎄 Age gap 🎄 Found family (full of love and pride)
Open door / spicy!!
3.5 / 5 stars

You can always tell when an author is good at her craft in his easy it is to engage with her new book and characters. It has an easy feel to leading you into the story a bit like putting on a much loved jumper. I enjoyed this book right from the start where we meet Marco and Brin. Both had last histories that we learn about and both their lives improve once they meet each other. I don't like to give spoilers as you can read them in other reviews. As this is quite an erotic book in places, you can guess that they get together, and the sex scenes are really well written and smoking hot. If you are easily offended this will not be the book for you. However, the characters are well written and both have interesting back stories. I like that the book has chapters written by each of the characters in turn as I like that dual view point. I love the idea of a scavenger hunt across New York and some of the things that they have to do to earn points. If you are curious about what on Earth that I'm talking about, well then, you'll have to read the book.
Marco Russo wasn’t thrilled that his trust fund boss had volunteered him for SHiNY Season (Scavenger Hunt in New York) a holiday-themed scavenger hunt for charity during his two-week vacation. Marco hated the Christmas holiday since his brother was killed carrying a Christmas tree home. He knew that he would need the help of his roommate Brin because she loved everything Christmas related.
Brin Shaw knew that meeting Marco and becoming his roommate and sharing a room was pure luck so helping him with the scavenger hunt perfect. But she never realized that kissing Marco under some mistletoe would lead to a relationship at the same time as participating in a scavenger hunt.
Run, Run, Roomates is a fun roommate to lovers relationship where the couple working together fro the scavenger hunt made them finally admit they were crushing on each other.

A nice, emotional story with various warming effects. I like that they both let the other know how they see one another differently, in a good way, rather than how they or others think about themselves. I'm happy Brin found someone reliable, considerate, and caring, who put her needs above his own in her time of struggles. It gave them time to get to know each other, become great friends, and offer understanding and emotional support. I also liked when they finally were open about their feelings for each other, they could explore their closeness in small details, be intimate about things that might be embarrassing, and talk about everything; they confided in how they felt about each other, their observations, their fantasies while they were just roommates. It's hard to find someone at this level of closeness and trust.
I found a book character who thinks the same way I do about first kisses in public, including ones under the mistletoe.

Be ready for a fun holiday rom com! This is such a great read for the holiday season, filled with all the holiday feelings, cheer, and a steamy chemistry. Brin is the epitome of Christmas spirit, bubbly, but a bit scattered. Marco is a holiday grump who has a demanding job that lets him be cold and deliberate. These two are roommates with secret crushes on each other. When they are thrown in a scavenger run that will test their wits, facades, secrets, chemistry, and holiday tolerance. Between all the dares, working together starts to make them shed their layers and showing their true selves to each other. Their insane chemistry, their banter, their moments will keep you drinking all the plot.
This is such a great plot, relatable characters that you will love and want to be friends with, a story that will make you laugh, cringe, and swoon, and such an insane connection that will make you cheer for the MCs!.

Marco and Brin share a bedroom in a New York City apartment. I would have necessity for bran, who is paying off her debt from leaving her small town to move to New York City. And of course, they both have some feelings for each other without telling the other person, marco works as an assistant for a very wealthy man and thinking, he's going to get the holiday season off. Which he hates for some personal reasons. He ends up having to participate in a scavenger hunt, which is favorite. It's fine with Brin who loves everything about christmas. What ensues is their hijinks trying to get the most points and win some money for charity. While denying their attraction for each other- it's very cute fun holiday. Romcom, a little bit too long for my taste, i do like how they incorporated the story of marco's brother. That was really nice.I thought that was a nice touch to give Marco a history and the holiday! Love to see LGBTQ+ representation in a book
Thank you, net, galley, for the arc in exchange for an honest review
This was Brin and Marco's story. We met them in Bea's story, Ghost of ex-mas past. Marco is a ruthless PA. He is the unliked one as he is doing all the tough jobs for his boss. He also doesn't like Christmas time due to losses. So when his boss is on vacation, instead of Marco getting a rest he is sent on a scavenger hunt. His roommate Brin loves Christmas so it makes sense to ask her for help. I loved Brin, she was so innocent, kind and grateful. She also loves Christmas and is super happy to help the man she has a huge crush on. She also works a lot of jobs in between. I really loved how protective Marco was of Brin and all the little things he does secretly to see her happy. As they do all these activities, Marco's little crush on her grows more and more. He thinks he isn't a good person and she is too good for him. Read and see if he finally gives in and enjoy all the festive fun they get upto. How the fun just might change his mind about Christmas. This was fun, Spicy and all warm feelings.
This was a cute and quick holiday read. Brin and Marco were adorable together. They were roommates who shared a room and they were best friends, but until this point, had kept their adoration of each other secret. When something happens to change that, all bets are off for keeping their hands off each other. I've read many of the author's books before and they're usually pretty spicy, so it was a bit refreshing that this one was a little tamer :) Because this is a novella, it's a bit of an insta-love story, as most are, but I found it to be more believable than most.
As a lover of all things Christmas in NYC, I thoroughly enjoyed the scavenger hunt part of the storyline. It made this a unique plot for a Christmas romance.
Bea, their roommate, is who Book 3 is about. Other than a brief mention of her romance with Charlie, she has a very minor role in this book, so there won't be any spoilers if you decide to go back and read her book after this one.
Brin and Marco are roommates who might just like each other as more than that, but neither is willing to risk the friendship to find out. Brin loves Christmas, while Marco dreads it after a painful family tragedy. When his demanding boss insists he join a holiday-themed scavenger hunt that requires a partner, Brin is the obvious choice… but what starts as a friendly favor may just turn into something much more festive.
This was a quick, charming, and surprisingly well-rounded novella, which is sometimes hard to achieve in a shorter format. In typical novella form, the plot moves quickly, but we get just enough background interspersed between holiday themed activities to make it feel organic.
Read this if you’re in the mood for a roommates-to-lovers romance with some holiday themed shenanigans and both swoon and spice!
Thank you to Liz Alden and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
Liz Alden continues the holiday fun with the latest addition to her Winter Wanderlust series, Run, Run, Roommates! This sweet & spicy holiday novella takes readers on a wintery romp through NYC. Fate and a lot of tequila brought Marco and Brin together a year ago; the best friends & roommates have helped each other heal, but will they finally face their feelings? I loved their sweet and salty dynamic, and his cinnamon roll tendencies (but just for her). He’s not the jerk he thinks he is, and she’s stronger than she gives herself credit for. The big-city airport dad and the hot mess small-town woman made for a delightful pair! I really enjoyed the multi-cultural, non-religious, joyous holiday representations in this book. Liz created a beautiful, emotional yet lighthearted love story; the queer rep, joy amidst grief, and relatable characters made this swoony holiday romcom a fun & fast read.
✨Thanks to Liz Alden for the advanced copy of this spicy holiday novella!
This book is a wonderful Christmas novella that is the perfect book to get you into the holiday season.
Run, Run, Roommates tells the story of Brin and Marco, who are the complete opposites of each other when it comes to Christmas, and are signed up to participate in a city wide Christmas scavenger hunt around NYC. I love NYC around Christmas time so the setting of this book was perfect to me. Brin and Marco's friends to lovers story is extremely well done and you believe the story between them.
I loved the deeper layer of Marco's story. I feel like holiday books are usually lighthearted and tend to not touch on the tougher topics of the season. The holidays are tough for a lot of LGBTQ+ individuals so I appreciated that this was discussed and handled well.
I have not read any of Liz Alden's other holiday novellas but I will be adding them to my TBR.
