Alicia has fallen too deep to ever climb back out.
She never planned to marry a multibillionaire. She never planned to inherit a dynasty. But with a single “I do” at City Hall, Alicia becomes the newest Moreau—and the woman poised to change everything.
Her wife, Danica Moreau, demands three unshakable loyalty, control of the empire, and the future family they’ll build together—sooner rather than later.
But their love has made enemies. To Russell Moreau, the cold and ruthless patriarch, Alicia is nothing more than a stain on the legacy he’s guarded since the death of his grandmother. Too common. Too impure. Too dangerous to bear the Moreau name.
What he doesn’t know is that Alicia is more dangerous than he ever imagined.
With Danica at her side, nights burn with passion and days blaze with schemes of hostile takeovers. The Moreaus have declared war on each other—and Alicia is caught in the crossfire.
But she’s no longer just Alicia. She’s Alicia Moreau. And she’ll fight to her last breath to protect her marriage, her family, and the dynasty she’s claimed.
The Moreaus aren’t getting the white wedding of a girl’s dream. They’re getting even.
THE MISTRESS is a sapphic retelling of "The Monroe Trilogy". It's a three part serial featuring insta-love, toxic family dynamics, and a whole lotta sapphic spice.
Whew! A thrilling, and steamy, conclusion to the trilogy!
Poor Alicia (and everyone else in Russell’s orbit)! She finds so much inner strength in herself and her feelings as well as in her relationship with Danica.
Danica’s eyes are opened so many times in this story with her father, Alicia and herself for what she thought she wanted and what was developing in her relationship with Alicia.
I wasn’t a huge fan of Danica not truly standing up to her father in regards to Alicia. The only one that really did was Dee, every time! It felt like Danica didn’t fully trust Alicia in what she was saying her father was capable of even after reuniting with her mother.
Overall, this was an exciting sapphic retelling. There’s instalove that dos grow and develop. There’s most definitely toxic family dynamics. And there is a whole lot of sapphic spice!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The third and conclusive installment in The Mistress series builds on the first two books and finishes with several bangs, crashes, a few punches, and more orgasms than I can remember. No, I'm being serious, I genuinely lost count.
After the courthouse wedding, Alicia is officially a Moreau now, but that won't stop Russell from continuing to do his best to remove her from Danica's life. As Alicia gets settled into married life and begins working with her wife, they must try to find a way to depose him before that happens.
Along the way, once again, we are treated to twists, backstory, and new secrets that could change everything. An absolutely wonderful and very spicy conclusion that I cannot recommend enough.
Reigned is the concluding third part of the scintillating sapphic retelling from Cynthia Dane and Hildred Billings. You need to have read Stained first, and Trained second. In Reigned the spice and family drama are amped up. The book opens with our main characters Danica and Alicia already married. They had a speedy courthouse wedding to get the ball rolling on their future endeavors with plans to have a bigger wedding at a later date.
The couple’s main goal in Reigned is to become a powerful business empire and finally overtake Danica’s father Mr. Moreau. Although nothing seems to surprise the couple at this point I was definitely surprised Danica’s father would go to the lengths he went to in order to get his way.
This book is filled with scandalous billionaire drama and spicy BDSM scenes. It was a crazy and exciting ride to conclude The Mistress series. I always enjoy Hildred Billings’ books and look forward to what she has in store for us next. Thank you Hildred Billings for the ARC!
Hildeed Billings is one really talented storyteller. This series has had me at the edge of my chair from page to straight to the end. There is intrigue, heat, skyrocketing emotions and a building love. The characters are fully developed, intelligent and intense. The various settings fit perfectly lending credibility to the story. I loved them, I loved exploring the emotions and the heat.
No one could be happier than I am tonight that Russell Moreau is nearly speechless and half paralyzed. I'm only sorry that something or other kept him out of prison. Horrible person.
Anyway, the description of the power dynamics in BDSM was fascinating, and well written. Every young girl should be able to become Alicia, without the death defying struggles. After all, girls just want to have fun!
This story was worth the wait. With things changing getting married and pregnant what a start to a marriage. Not only being married to a billionaire now Alicia is helping her wife learning how to run the company plus starting her own. Her father in law is not happy but she is willing to stand by her wife Danica Moreau. This series is very HOT and has lots of twists and turns hope to keep up with this powerful couple.
Really enjoyed this trilogy conclusion. The spice was pretty good and I really liked how much Alicia's confidence grew. There were some heavy topics in this one, so just make sure to check the TWs before reading.
I so love the second book I so love this second installment characters were It was good the characters were great Storyline wonderful Couldn't put it down was up late trying to finish it I recommend
Sexy and hot! Finally the villain got what they deserved! I’m so glad that Alicia isn’t spineless. The showdown was epic and just icing on the cake. Enjoy!
