Honestly kinda disappointed especially since this seems to be the conclusion of the series.

1. The time skips seemed oddly picked and disjointed.

2. We are not shown how the main characters navigated the change in romantic love to platonic. This is important because I feel like was one of the main allure to this series (aka the realization between the differences and similarity that platonic, and romantic love have and how to maneuver though those feelings).

3. The ending made no sense since we never really saw any true romantic attraction in the fake couple (at least on the girls side) in high school so to magically end up together with a CHILD in the end confused me.

4. This series main topics were gender, sexuality, and self-discovery. That being said, there was weirdly not enough. While in the previous books there was at least some semblance of these topics, there was not nearly enough in this book especially since it is supposed to be the final act of the story.

While I really liked the being series, especially with the depiction of transphobia not just being blatant transphobic statements but also the effect where the actions of someone is trying their best to understand/protect could do more harm than good. In the end the conclusion was mediocre at best, depressing at worst.

I'm a little bit disappointed with the ending, but the rest of the story fully makes up for it! I also feel like this story could've used one more volume, I would've loved to see the characters growing up throughout the rest of high school. Complaints aside, I loved this manga so much and I'm so glad I read it <3
