Rachel Kaye sure packed a lot of punch (and by punch I mean, deep emotions paired with sexy snowed in spicy time!) in this wintery forced proximity romance novella!

This story is perfect for cosy winter reading, and look out for Hugo - the goodest boy! - I mean, who can resist a story with a big cuddly ski patrol pupper?!

It was so easy to delve into this story, yet it didn't feel rushed or too short by the end - as Goldilocks would say - it was "just right"

Another hit story from Book & Brew Creative LLC!! 😍

Snowed in at Snowcap Cafe by Jennifer Aline

Is part of a 3 book series of Novellas that can be read alone but they all have some characters you may recognise from the other books.

Snowed in at Snowcap Cafe by Jennifer Aline is about sunshine Al who works in a coffee shop that used to be her parents and she gets snowed in with uptight Luca...Lois...I mean Liam 😅😂

Snowed in with Ski Patrol by Rachel Kaye

Is about super grumpy Wren and her rescuer Nico and he gorgeous dog Hugo! She is on a mission and needs saving but gets saved by the last person she expected. This is a great second chance romance.

Snowed in at Holly Hill Cabin by Harriet Banter

Is about a couple Ethan and Mia who have had a challenging time and are finally going away for a break where they meet Juniper who they both have a spark with.

Such a fun novellas, My kryptonite is any books set in a ski resort! Having done a ski season when younger and always having loved watching ski Sunday 🤣

So these were great to get the winter ski vibe throughout all of them, whether it was the coffee shop, the Skiing or in a beautiful cabin. There is something for everyone.

All books also mention some hard topics such as death and PTSD but it was interesting how each book handled it slightly differently but each brilliantly!

Fab short reads and a great refresh before you dive back into a big series.

Thank you for sending me an arc for an honest review

How CAN'T you love a winter novella with the cutest dang patrol pup?! Other than the pup, this story was one you don't want to miss during the holiday/winter season! It's filled with (very) snowy moments, sled rides (sort of), SPICE (done quite creatively, I'll add), and deep, thoughtful themes. Rachel and the Book and Brew Creative crew did a great job crossing over all of their stories in the SNOWED IN collection! It's a must-read!

💜 Review - I really enjoyed this short, spicy novella. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. I loved the small town place setting, it sounded beautiful. I also loved Wren and Nico's slow burn chemistry and I wanted them to have their happy ending, and there was also plenty of spicy scenes. Also the story was cute and easy to follow and had good pacing. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

3.5 ⭐

A gorgeous, seasonal snowy read.

I absolutely love novellas, but I do often struggle to feel properly connected to the characters in such a short space of time. On top of that, the second-chance trope has never really been one I naturally gravitate towards, which made this story all the more satisfying when it completely won me over.

Both main characters felt surprisingly well-developed for a novella. Their backstories were believable, emotionally grounded, and woven in naturally without slowing the pacing. I really appreciated that their growth happened on the page rather than being told to us, which made their reconnection feel earned rather than rushed.

Nico, in particular, was a standout for me. Soft, kind, quietly yearning, and emotionally present. That gentle, loving energy paired with restraint and longing really worked. There’s something so compelling about a character who feels deeply but doesn’t overpower the story, and this struck that balance beautifully.

The snowy setting added such a cosy, romantic atmosphere, making it the perfect seasonal escape, and the little pup truly was the cherry on top. Any story that includes a dog with personality is instantly elevated for me.

Overall, this was a really lovely novella that managed to deliver emotional depth, character development, and strong romantic payoff in a short format. A very satisfying winter read.

📚 ARC Review 📚

What a great way to start off this cozy season!!! This collection of Winter novellas was so much fun!

You definitely need to add all of these to your TBR. They are standalones and can be read in any order.

Thoughts 👇🏻

Snowed in at Snowcap Cafe - this one was definitely my favorite! I absolutely loved Liam & Alice!! I also really loved that we got right down to it. There wasn’t a ton of preamble.

Snowed in with Ski Patrol - Wren & Nico were great, they were so funny & I loved their dynamic. I love a second chance romance. The only issue I had was it took us forever to get into anything. With this being so short I wish we could have had them getting together a little sooner.

Snowed in at Holly Hill Cabin - I did enjoy this one, just not as much as the rest. There is nothing wrong with it, it was cute and our characters were fun & funny and it was a good read. But anything other than a monogamous relationship just isn’t my thing.

All in all, I highly recommend reading all three. While the temps are dropping, it was fun to just curl up all cozy & fly through these.

Rachel has a very clear talent for writing - I read and LOVED her previous novels - but given this book is a novella, reading this makes her talent even more apparent. The book drew me in instantly and I quickly fell for Wren and Nico, as well as the sweetest and goodest boy, Hugo.

I devoured this book in one Saturday lazy morning. It’s the perfect, cozy, and emotional novella with a second chance romance and HEA. I am an emotional person, and I felt the emotions Rachel depicted on page for each of the characters. I found myself being teary eyed on more than one occasion. The chemistry that still exists between the characters is palpable. Also, it’s spicy in all the right ways.

I imagine that writing a novella is more challenging than a novel in some ways, and Rachel absolutely fricken nailed it. If you like novellas with depth, this is a must read.

Snowed In with Ski Patrol is a sweet and cozy romance novella that’s perfect when you’re in the mood for something light and predictable. The story offers charming moments and a gentle romantic tension that makes for a nice, easy read. The book leans into the cozy trope of being snowed in, with a ski patrol setting that adds a touch of winter charm. While the romance is cute and the characters pleasant, the story felt a bit superficial at times, without the deeper layers or complexity that some readers might crave. The writing is straightforward and comfortable, ideal for when you want an uncomplicated escape rather than an intense or plot-driven experience.Overall, if you enjoy cozy, feel-good romances that deliver exactly what you expect without surprises, this novella fits the bill well. A solid three stars for a sweet seasonal read

These novellas gave me all the winter feels. I read them one after another and honestly didn’t want to stop. Each story had its own cozy charm, from Al and Liam snowed in at the café, to Wren and Nico with that delicious tension and Hugo being the goodest boy ever, to Ethan, Mia, and Juniper at the cabin, and somehow they all felt connected but still fresh. I loved how every author mixed soft emotions with deep topics without making it too heavy. There was warmth in every page, even when the snowstorms hit. The writing felt simple but so emotional, the pacing was perfect, and the chemistry between the characters was off the charts. Each novella had that perfect just right balance. Definitely my kind of winter comfort read. Thank you so much to the author for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving an honest review.

This was a nice cute holiday novella. Although novellas are quick, this relationship didn’t feel as quick as the previous book due to it being a second chance. The fact that they knew each other prior to the start of the book, gives them a lot more connection and emotionality between them. Once again it was a forced proximity set at the same time as the first one in this collection, meaning that they did have to get past some tension from the past, leading them to talk to each other and learn about what’s happened and why some things happened. I enjoyed this couple slightly more than the previous and look forward to the next.

Although this novella series is written by different people, characters from other books are well portrayed and the books so far seem fairly cohesive with each other.

I appreciate having received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Looking for a cozy and sweet novella to curl up with a warm drink? This one is a perfect choice!

Wren is on a trip to visit her recently-deceased father’s favorite ski resort when a storm throws a wrench in her plans. She ends up rescued by a mysterious ski patroller and stuck in a tiny cabin together. And who does her rescuer turn out to be but her ex?

This was short and sweet but still had plenty of character development, especially for Wren. She and Nico have both been through a lot and need a support system, which they find in each other. I really enjoyed the emotional connection that builds in this novella and found it just the right length!

Swooning at this second chance story! A little novella from the Holly Hill Winter Novella collection, a stand alone with a few characters popping up from the other books. Wren disappeared from Nico’s life 9 years ago with nothing more than a short note saying goodbye and he’s been pining for her ever since. Wren of course left for her own reasons and to catch Nico at the time in her life where she needed someone the most seems like it was meant to be. Forced proximity with feelings that never went away spells for a delicious night is a cabin together. Great read with all the warm and fuzzies for a HEA.

I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own

Spice: 🌶️

A short, sweet, emotional novella perfect for a cold winter night! I really enjoyed this story, I started off a little unsure of if I was going to relate to Wren as she came off a bit mean, but as we get to know her through the story she really grows on you and I ended up loving her at the end! As for Nico I honestly loved him from the very beginning, he may have played a bit of petty revenge but it didn’t stop him from caring, and being protective of Wren! And of course who couldn’t love Hugo! This book was really just a great quick read, full of second chance romance, snowed in together forced proximity, a sprinkle of spice, and plenty of sweet moments that I would recommend for anyone’s TBR!

Rachel Kaye • Snowed in with Ski Patrol (ARC NOVELLA)

Thank you to Rachel Kaye for this ARC Novella.

At first, I couldn’t tell if Wren was a man or woman. I had to go back to look at the cover but once I figured it out, I started to really enjoy this book.

Wren Dunbar is on a mission to go to every ski resort her Dad skiied at. At Holly Peak she’s determined to ski the slope and leave. But after a brutal wipe out she needs ski patrol to help her down. They shelter from the storm in a tiny supply cabin and their attraction is hard to miss.

Snowed in with Ski Patrol is a cute second chance romance novella. The writing was easy to read, the characters had depth and everything flowed so smoothly.

I really enjoyed this as a novella, nothing felt rushed or brushed over. If this was a full sized novel and we got to break down the characters more I would read that too!

This is the first book I’ve read from Rachel Kaye but I’ll definitely be reading more in the future.

Thanks to Rachel Kaye for the ARC! ❤️

I love a good second-chance romance! Add forced proximity and a game of two truths and a lie, and you’ve got me hooked!

Once again, this novella is fast-paced, cozy, and spicy.

I highly suggest reading all the books in The Holly Hill Winter Novella Collection, even though they’re standalones. It’s fun to catch glimpses of other characters and see how everything fits together.

Tropes to look for:

Forced proximity
Second-chance romance
Hidden identity
Grumpy x grumpy
Only one sleeping bag

This was a super cute short read! I absolutely love Dom and Wrens story. I hated how they ended things at first, however both grew as individuals and found their way back to each other. They always say let em go and if you find your way back to each other then it’s meant to be. And for Wren and Dom it was. This is a super cute quick read that has me ready for the winter season! Absolutely recommend and I’m so happy I got to be apart of the ARC team!

A cute forced proximity winter time novella! I really loved the second chance story to this novella and it felt a little invisible string theory coded which I love! Hugo did steal the show a couple times and how could you not love a cute working dog. You know a novella will be hot when they can match each other's grumpy.
If you love the following tropes this is the read for you!

❄️Forced proximity
❄️Second chance
❄️Hidden identity
❄️Grumpy x Grumpy
❄️Winter romance

Thank you so much to Rachel Kaye for this lovely ARC

This one tugged at my heart strings the most from the Holly Hills Winter Novella series. When tragedy happens someone's you grab onto the people around you but sometimes you leave them behind. Wren left it all behind but where did thay leave her in the end.
Nico is one of the best on Ski Patrol, but a less thay routine snow storm rescue doesnt go to plan.
Watch these characters grow and heal against all odds.

Snowed In With Ski Patrol - Rachel Kaye ARC
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️.5

This was definitely my favourite of the three novellas. It was paced well and easy to dive straight into. Second chance romance isn’t usually one of my favourite tropes, but the slow burn chemistry and emotion between Wren and Nico was spot on! Special mention for fur patrol, Hugo!!!! The goodest boy 😍🐶

“I love you too. Now. Still. Always.”

Rachel Kaye knocked this novella out of the park. Wren is dealing with a lot but she’s on a mission for her father and this snow storm will not delay her from what she wanted to do. She ends up hurt and stuck on the mountain until ski patrol shows up. There’s something about this ski patrol, Nico, that does things to Wren and she can’t figure out why. Wren and Nico find themselves stuck in a cabin and that’s when Wren learns who Nico is. This story was so good. It gave me just enough background to know what was going on with Nico and Wren. I love the reconnecting they did! There’s also some spice.

Wren’s epic ski run turns into a brutal wipeout and a snowstorm forces her to take shelter with a masked, ski patroller and his loyal dog. The storm outside isn’t the only thing heating up. Forced proximity, a dash of mystery, and sizzling chemistry make this snowed-in romance impossible to put down.

Rachel is doing second chance romance right! The main characters get stuck together during a snow storm and actually communicate and work through their past issues. Wild concept, I know.

This is a cute and refreshing novella. The writing flows well and the characters are well developed within the short amount of pages. It was a fairly realistic romance that was easy to enjoy.

A fun little winter novella! The perfect thing to pick up and read in one sitting when you are craving a fast paced second chance romance. Due to the fact it is a novella so it’s quite short, we don’t get too much character depth but we got enough to make the story engaging and believable. Definitely a fun holiday read!

For being a quick novella I really like the depth of the characters and wish it was actually longer to explore their stories more! I really liked how open and honest it was about Wren’s struggles. It made her character feel so real and easy to connect with.
