A sweet, cowboy romance that will leave you giggling and kicking your feet! Perfect for fans of Elsie Silver, My Life with the Walter Boys and Lyla Sage

A love as sweet as honey

Reid Lawson is the oldest brother on Honey Haven Ranch, working towards taking over the family property when their dad, Austin, retires. Grayson, Reid’s younger brother, is jealous of his favouritism. Because of the one-sided rivalry, Grayson has warned Reid to stay away from his friends, including Macie. It's the one part of his life he wants to keep to himself. But how can Reid stay away from the girl he has liked for twelve years?

Macie Cambell has grown up raising her younger brother, Axel, after their parents left them, and now also their aunt. Macie is stuck in a rental she can't afford when Axel moves away to university. When her life starts to crumble, the Lawson's are there to rescue her. But will her staying with her best friend, Grayson, and her childhood crush, Reid, only make this harder for her? or will her life finally be heading in the right direction? Will they finally realise their love for each other?

This is a sweet, country romance set in Australia. Full of banter, tension and steam, but without the spice. There is no swearing in this book.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Firstly thank you to Bek for the lovely opportunity to beta read Unspoken Hearts. Bek has written such an amazing cowboy romance novel. I felt so honoured to beta read for Bek as I have enjoyed all the books she has self-published. This was an absolute 5 stars for me.

Now this book was absolutely swoon-worthy in all the right ways. This book had me hooked from the first chapter. It absolutely made me giggle and kicking my feet to find out what was going to happen next. Reid and Macie have amazing chemistry between them. Even the brothers have a great bond. What will happen between Reid and Macie and will this affect Grayson, who is Macie's best friend.
Literally love Reid and Macie in this book and all the other side characters you will meet in this amazing. I literally can't wait for Cole, Grayson, Holden and Sawyer's books.

Unspoken Hearts is now available directly through the author for paperback or Amazon.

Definitely recommend adding this to your TBR if you haven’t already purchased a copy yet.

Do you like the Rebel Blue Ranch Series? If so, this is your book. Imagine that setting but in Australia.
This book was amazing and had everything you love in a cowboy romance.

. Bestfriends Brother
. Yearning
. Forced Proximity
. Slow Burn
. Banter

The side characters were just as enjoyable as the main characters and made this whole story complete.
The stolen glances, the near hand holding, the tension that fell between Reid and Macie was consuming. I’ve never wanted a couple to be together more than them.
The older siblings who sacrifice so much and put themselves last.
Absolutely loved this and can’t wait for you to read it!!

I absolutely loved this story about Reid—the older best friend’s brother—and Macie.

The Australian setting gave the cowboy romance such a unique and refreshing twist. Their love story was heartfelt, engaging, and so easy to get lost in.

I’m already excited to read the upcoming books about the other brothers!

Very wholesome and cute — I really enjoyed this one! I’m a sucker for characters who’ve been pining over each other for years, and this book definitely delivered. The found family aspect was adorable and added so much warmth to the story. It was such a sweet, country romance with great banter and tension. I would’ve loved a longer epilogue to see a bit more of their story, but overall it was such a comforting and heartwarming read. 💛🐴

Thank you so so so much Rebekah for an advanced copy of Unspoken Hearts, and thank you for leaving me one the edge of my seat. AGAIN. Honestly I wish I could see you to hug you and then do what Gray did to Reid BECAUSE THAT ENDING 🥊🥊🥊 GIVE ME THE NEXT DANG BOOK.

genre: Cowboy romance
rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

📖abt the book:
*Best-Friends Brother
*Liked each other for years
*Slooooooow burn
*Forced proximity
*Banter
*They like the exact same things
*Mental Health rep

🏍️my thoughts:
This book is similar to the first book I read from Rebekah, Prove Me Wrong, in the way that it was adorable in the moments between the main characters, as well as the mental health struggles they face.❤️‍🩹 And that's where the similarities end because this was a cowboy romance with the best friends brother trope. When I tell you guys that BFB was playing on loop while I was reading this 😂😂

Not going to spoil the whole book, but there was some cute ahh moments. They like the same snacks, he knows her likes and dislikes, she helps him with deciding "his" house colors, and even more that you're going to have to read and find out.

My ONLY issue is that this is the first of the mf series and I have some personal (light-hearted) grievances with Rebekah that I'm waiting for apologies for 😤 since she's in a different time zone. Otherwise 10/10 and I need her to work on Grayson and Laynie's book YESTERDAY.

Did I absolutely devour this book in one sitting yes I did!

Unspoken Hearts has stolen my heart, Aussie Ranch, Cowboys, found family vibes and a slow burn Romance that will have you giggling along the way.

Rebekah has such a beautiful way of story telling and this was no different to her other books.

The yearning that we got from both Reid and Macie was un matched, they both were so obvious about their secret crushes to others around them except for each other and G. Their stolen looks and banter was everything I needed. Closed door romance was exactly what I wasn’t expecting from this , but I think it wouldn’t have been the right fit for their story if it was open door spice. So I’m so glad that is what we got.

I love that they both as the older siblings they acted very similar in the way they put everyone else first, but when they realised that they attraction they both had for each other was shared they took the leap and let themselves come first for once.

I was so grateful to be an arc reader for Unspoken Hearts and I can’t wait to see what else Rebekah does.

I know that my heart is going to break for G as it was absolutely breaking for him at the end of this. I will not be emotionally ready for some of the truth bombs that I’m sure will happen in the series.

Ashwood Creek Series Book 1
By Rebekah Bertram

🩷 Sweet Cowboy Romance
🤠 Best friends Brother
🩷 Closed door
🤠 F0rced Proximity
🩷 Slow burn
🤠 Yearning
🩷 Banter

If you loved Chestnut Springs but want to see it set in a small Aussie town this is the series for you told beautifully by Bec!

Set in the gorgeous scenery of the Blue Mountains this story follows along the blossoming love tale between Reid and Macie the older siblings in their families that always put themselves last.
Reid the rancher who is set to take over his families ranch as the eldest always does, who has been secretly pining over his best friends sister for years.
And Macie who has brought up her little brother doing everything in her power to give him his best sh0t at life, who has secretly had the biggest crush on his best friends brother.
It all comes to a tee when Macie's home is destroyed in a massive storm and she is f0rced to stay at Reid's families Ranch in Ashwood Creek.

Will they finally give their hearts a chance or will they keep running?

This was so beautifully told, I especially loved both their inner monologues being told throughout, you have Reid who is supposedly this big tough Cowboy, when really he is such a sweetheart.

Unspoken Hearts is available now! 😘🖤

Unspoken Hearts is a sweet romance story between Macie, a girl who has sacrificed everything to ensure her little brother gets the life he deserves and Reid, the eldest brother of the Lawson family who is working towards taking over the family’s farm! This is a closed door romance with the trope of best friends brother! Oh and did I mention that they have been pinning over each other for 12 years!? This has to be one of the sweetest stories I’ve read! There’s so many stolen glances and the yearning and pining just had my heart melting, feet kicking and giggling like a little school girl thinking about her crush! Watching Macie also learn to ask for help, that needing help doesn’t make you weak or a burden was just the cherry on top! Reid is also the biggest green flag to walk the earth! I mean the man has been pinning over this girl since they first met and has secretly made a list of all her likes and dislikes!

Unspoken Hearts is the first book in a series of interconnected stories set in Ashwood Creek set in Australia! Great for fans of Elsie Silver, My life with the Walter Boys and Layla Sage wanting an Aussie twist to their story! I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

One of my fav Cowboy / rach setting books so far. This was honestly one of my favs of the year.

This story follows Macie, who has been through A LOT. Who has always had to step in and show up for everyone else, at a cost .. the cost being her own goals and happiness. Growing up raising her little brother Axel, Macie never got the chance to just be a kid. Due to a chain of events, Macie winds up living with her best friend Grayson... and his family. Including his brother and her childhood crush, Reid.

Reid being the oldest brother at Honey Haven Rach and is in the process of taking over their family ranch. He's always had issues with his brother Grayson, who has always felt like they competed, and has been sworn off dating ANY of this brother's friends. But what will he do when girl he's liked for 12 years moves into the ranch?!

What could go wrong!

-Bestfriend's brother
-Closed door
-Found family
-Slow burn
-Tension and yearning
-Loveable side characters
-Childhood crushes
-Banter
-Dual POV
-Aussie ranch Setting
-Cowboy MMC

Thank you so much to the author for this advanced reader copy of Unspoken Hearts.

*I received this book as an arc*

I’ve just found my new fave romance series! I could not put this book down, it was such a comfort read for me and honestly came at the perfect time in my life!

I am loving the cowboy romances at the moment and this did not disappoint! I loved seeing the different characters with their own unique struggles and things they were working towards in their lives. I felt myself relating to the characters a lot too which made me need to read it even faster!

I’m such a sucker for stories around the brothers best friend and this one was no different! Rebekah let everything play out so beautifully that I felt really satisfied with the ending of Macie and Reid’s story, but I need to know more about Laynie! Because how could you end it like that for her?!

Possibly one of my favourite reads of this year, I highly recommend this book and need the next one already!

Thank you to @theberryagency for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.

I love a good Aussie romance, and this one absolutely delivered. A rugged country boy and a small-town girl who’s taken more than her fair share of hits, it’s a pairing that just works.

Macie has spent years raising her younger brother, and now that he’s headed off to uni, life should finally get easier… except it doesn’t. When things fall apart, Reid steps in to help, even though Macie is his little brother’s best friend and therefore very much “off limits.”

The story is on the predictable side, but honestly, that’s part of its charm. With life being so chaotic, a comforting, heartfelt rural romance is exactly what I wanted. The setting feels authentically Australian, and the characters have an easy, believable chemistry.

I’m keen to read more from Rebekah Bertram and can’t wait to see where the Ashwood Creek brothers go next.

Huge thank you to the berry agency and to Rebekah Bertram for the gifted eARC in exchange for my honest and non-spoiler review!

This is my second book that I’ve read by Rebekah Bertram, the first being Prove Me Wrong, and let’s just say that I really enjoy Rebekah’s writing! Cowboy romance is a genre that I am still currently kind of dipping my toes into so when I started this book, I didn’t really know what to expect. However, I quickly found myself loving our main characters Reid and Macie as well as the side characters too!

I’ve said it before but found family is one of my all time favorite tropes so it’s safe to say that this book checks off that box for me. There was so much wholesome, sweet moments in this book that just made for a perfect little cowboy romance. I feel like this was such a heartwarming read that made me enjoy this type of genre a bit more and I feel like so many other readers are going to fall in love with this book.

This made me think of My Life With The Walter Boys except they're all a bit older!
We have Reid our MMC who has been in love with Macie our FMC for years now but she's his younger brother Grayson's best friend and off limits because he's the super jealous type and struggles with feeling inferior to Reid.

Macie is facing her own challenges with her aunt taking off unannounced and her younger brother heading to university, leaving her all alone in a house that's falling apart and basically penniless. She's also not the type to ask for help or accept it easily.

Meanwhile Reid faces his own health issues amid the expectation that he will take over the running of the farm when his dad retires in the near future as well as the jealousy and broken relationship he has with his brother Grayson.

This is a sweet read with zero spice and I loved that it was set in Australia. There's plenty of tension, angst, real life problems and yearning before they get their happy ever after!

Absolutely loved this book! The love story was sweet, emotional, and beautifully told. Rebekah captured the connection between Reid and Macie perfectly — all the longing, the tension, and the quiet moments that make your heart ache. Reid was the most thoughtful, caring MMC, and I adored how the story handled trauma with such care and realism.

This is the perfect slow burn, closed-door romance for readers who love yearning, banter, and emotional depth without the spice. The world of Ashwood Creek feels alive, and the side characters (especially the Lawson family!) added so much warmth and charm.

The stolen glances, the near hand-holding, the build-up — perfection. And that ending?! I’m already counting down for the next book. Rebekah’s writing is like a balm for the soul — heartfelt, hopeful, and completely captivating. 💕

Did I just devour this book? I sure did. And for good reason. Rebekah has yet again made me devour a book I probably wouldn’t have looked at before. But here I am needing more cowboy romances in my life.

Reid and Macie were everything. From the stolen looks, to the moments where they both realised there was something more, they had everything. They were exactly what they needed for each other. And watching Reid be there for her in a way no one else could be, was amazing.

And that ending?!? Safe to say I am ready and waiting for the ARCs for the next one already. And the rest of the series. I can’t wait to see the other brothers stories. Each of them had me intrigued in their own way, and I can’t wait to see where this series goes.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to be able to read this ARC book!!! This is my first 5 star read for the year.

On the day I started it I read till 3am in the morning. Am I sad that I only got 2 hours of sleep and had to get up at 5??? Absolutely not!!! I just couldn’t stop. I loved how the book flowed. The pure and raw emotion from all the characters. But most of all. The absolute love that shines out of these pages

This is my first book by Rebekah and now I want more 😍😍😍

Her writing is like a healing balm to my soul. Like you can feel the emotions of each character

I hope that we will get to read about each brother and friend in the book.

Thank you for sharing this piece of art with the world ❤️❤️

This story starts off with the most beautiful imagery! Maybe I’m bias as I live in rural Australia but the descriptions are vivid and easy to imagine. I love the can’t touch her/best friends brother trope that is the focus of this romance!!
Reid, the MMC, is so thoughtful and caring throughout the whole book it’s so perfect!! The way Rebekah also addressed trauma and its effects with the MFC really depicted its lasting effects well.
This book is the perfect slow burn romance. It is a closed door romance for the girlies (and guys) who aren’t into the spice! I love a good closed door romance where the plot is the main focus and this book has captured that perfectly! It has kissing at the most and no spicy scenes!

ARC read** I was hooked from the dedication to all of us who love a quiet rugged man in glasses. I absolutely fell in love with Reid and Macie. The oldest sibling vibes paired with some top tier yearning made this a phenomenal read. I loved how relatable these characters are with real life issues. As a chronic illness girl I loved seeing a main character with some representation for the community showing us how that impacts our world. The bond between oldest and baby siblings and the challenges with middle siblings made this incredibly relatable. The language is so descriptive and draws you deep into the soul of Ashwood Creek. I can’t wait for the next instalment to continue down the journey.

ARC REVIEW

This is the first book that I’ve read form Rebekah and I can say I will be reading more!
This was just a cute little small town romance, it really reminded me of my life with the Walter boys without the messy love triangle. I loved that it was set in Australia!
Reid and Macie both having secret crushes one each other for years and stolen secret glances at each other and little moments really made this book so much fun to read! Reid has been keeping lists of everything Macie loves and hates ever since he met her and it’s the cutest thing, he even changed his coffee because she loved hers with honey 🥹 Macie finally got a family from them after being left by her parents and thinking she was never enough, her friendship with G and the rest of the family was sweet. This was a slow burn romance with no spice which is a good change to read.
I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Thank you to the author and The Berry Agency for the chance to read this ARC. Unspoken Hearts is a sweet, cosy story with a really warm tone throughout. The premise is lovely, and it’s clear a lot of heart went into creating these characters and their journey. It’s an easy, gentle read with some very gorgeous moments.

The story follows Macy and Reid (Macy’s best friends brother), as they fall in love and try to deal with feelings without hurting Reid’s brother Grayson. It’s a small town /cowboy romance set in Australia- which immediately hooked me in.

While the writing style and pacing didn’t always fully draw me in, I can see this appealing to readers who enjoy light, low-drama romances and something comforting to curl up with.

Find me a home in Ashwood Creek - NOW!
Unspoken Hearts is a beautifully emotional and quietly powerful read that completely stole my heart. The Aussie setting adds so much charm and atmosphere—sunny, grounded, and vibrant in a way that makes every scene feel alive. The slow burn romance is perfection: tender, patient, and full of those soft little moments that make you ache for the characters to finally open up.
Bek’s writing is warm and heartfelt, and the story balances healing, connection, and hope so naturally. I adored every page and can’t wait to see what the series brings next.

Tropes I loved:
🌿 Slow burn romance
🫶 Found family
💔 Healing from trauma
😨 Realistic anxiety representation
✨ Best Friend’s Brother

A wonderful start to a series that already feels super special.

This is my second book by Rebekah and I am very much obsessed with her books!! A small town romance? Sign me up!

I love a best friends brother trope every time! The sneaking around, trying not to get caught? Always has me eating these books up!

I enjoyed the plot, there wasnt ALOT of stuff happening It was just them figuring out how to tell Grayson (Macie's best friend and Reid's brother) i did think Grayson was a little too baby and I didnt vibe with him alot but I will definitely read his and Laynie's book especially after that cliffhanger we got!!!

Overall it was a great read 4.5 ⭐️

I absolutely loved every second of this book!
I'm currently in my cowboy romance era, and this story came to me at the perfect time. It's such a sweet and heartwarming read, full of charm, laughter, and the kind of slow-burn tension that makes you kick your feet and grin like an idiot.
Reid was such a refreshing MiNC.... a shy, sweet, and protective cowboy who'll have your heart melting in no time.
And Macie? Strong, caring, and so easy to root for. Their connection felt so natural and real.
The friend group added the perfect amount of humor and warmth, each with their own personalities and stories that l cannot wait to see unfold in the next books in the series.
Overall, this was such a fun, cozy, and wholesome read full of love, loyalty, and small-town charm. If you're looking for a clean, feel-good cowboy romance that'll leave you smiling, this one's it!

This book had me giggling and kicking my feet! If you’re a lover of cowboy romances, or just cowboys themselves, this book is for you! Unspoken Hearts is a sweet, closed-door, cowboy romance set in Australia.

I feel in love with the characters, Macie and Reid. Macie is a strong female who has taken care of herself her whole life and just needed someone to see her. Reid is a gentleman who has quietly loved Macie for years and absolutely stole my heart! 🥹 Their unspoken love for each other made me want to keep reading their story.

Thank you @authorbekbertram for this arc!
