Having grown up in a very large chaotic family with no real guidance on how to get through school, this would have been a game-changer for me. Also, as someone with emotional issues, just by virtue of reading this book, I felt my psyche realigning. It just goes to show, you're never too old to learn from the experience of others.

This book touches on real-life issues so astutely that it was almost like reliving my middle school years but with a guardian angel. I can't imagine anyone not relating to all the situations author Susan Fintland addresses with such compassion, candor, and helpful guidance.

I especially appreciated the section on Critical and Analytical Thinking. It was easy to follow and offered well-grounded common-sense advice. And I love the illustrations.

If only I had this book when I was pre-teen!
