In the 5th Bob & Anna thriller a friend of a Kathy is murdered during a burglary that goes wrong. Amongst the valuables stolen is a Van Gogh painting. At first Bob and Anna refuse to get involved but eventually have no option as their businesses are put under impossible financial pressures and the lives of family members are threatened. Having become involved Bob and Anna realise that they are up against one of the richest and most important men in Britain and trying to resolve the problems puts impossible mental and physical strains on the four friends and their personal relationships.
