This is a very readable account of Trump's (or should I say Stephen Miller's) policies and actions related to immigration and deportations, which went into hyperdrive during Trump 2.0. An early chapter reviews how the Bush, Obama and Biden administrations approached illegal immigration, and it is sadly funny that Obama deported far more people than did Trump, though he intentially kept it quiet unlike Trump who brags about his (smaller) numbers. The book does a good job of showing that Trump administration lawyers have no problem defying the law and court orders, and will fire anyone amongst their ranks who objects. Overall this book is an excellent and concise overview of a complicated topic.
