Ethan and Jenna's romance was just so good. I was quickly fully engaged and invested in this story and these characters. Lush emotions, feelings, spice, heart and sweetness are interwoven with drama, action, danger and suspense to create a book that had me eagerly devouring each chapter as my heart simply melted.
This is Book 5 of 6 in the standalone but connected series, Havenstone. The Sutton Men Of Clover Canyon: A Havenstone Romance. Stoneridge Ranch in Clover Canyon is a place of belonging, of peace, acceptance and love. Of home. The Sutton men who live there are strong and grounded, but has been touched by life. Loving the land they tend with the land giving back. And the women those Sutton men choose might once have been weak or lost or unloved…but both their man and the land make them whole again. Becoming stronger and more fierce than they could ever have imagined being. This story is of our strong, handsome, Ethan Sutton. He’s the son who makes sure everyone is taken care of with them not even realizing his contribution. Also ex military with a mind of tactical precision that he uses to help run the ranch. He’s been communicating with Jenna Calloway for three months. Having been matched through Marlie’s Angels a matchmaking service for ranchers. The same service all the men found their soul mates from. Jenna’s been putting off her meeting with Ethan because of her childhood life in Foster Care and the way people treats her with her severe Cape Eczema. Their relationship went from phone, to video chat to Jenna’s car tearing into their fence. When Jenna saw something horrible on LandCorp company’s computer that the VP Julian Vance was involved and concerned Ethan’s family and their land, she acted immediately. Copying info on a flash drive and driving non stop to exhaustion and the Suttons fence. And this is where all the fun begins mixed in with drama. The Suttons have all kinds of farm animals that they have adopted. Among which is Dorito the goat that eats anything, prodigy of the infamous Cheese Puff and Biscuit. Know for literally eating anything. Dorito becomes an intricate partner in solving the Ranch’s federal evidence problems. Yes, he’s “intestinally” involved!😂 Ethan realizing it when the flash drive with the information disappeared after Dorito licks Janna’s hand while she was knocked out…now they wait! In the mean time while a goats digestion takes place, danger is rising and it’s coming for Jenna. But nothing with get to her because not only does Ethan love her and will kill anyone who touches her. She’s got folks from both Sutton Ranches that know where to hide the bodies. All characters from the wonderfully written books in this series are in this one. And all the crazy, wild and lovable animals are in here too. I just LOVE the sweet animals and their individual quirky characteristics. I mean come on names like Captain Winky the one eyed cat, Pixel, Bug the cat who adopted Jenna all for herself, Major Pecker, Glitch, and of course Cheese Puff and Biscuits son Dorito. Who’s quite proud of his part in the story. Jenna finds she relearns everything differently than what she did from the foster homes she had been placed in as a child. Finding at Stoneridge quiet, laughter, belonging, acceptance, being loved and home. Where you can feel safe to unpack your bags. Joining the women who came broken but stay warriors. Innocent, brave heroine that saves the Suttons Ranch but is held and protected by a hero. A FANTASTIC, MUST READ!
This is a 💛M/F BOOK 📖 It wasn’t a cookie cutter book. Which helped
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "If 'Book Hangover' was a medical diagnosis, I’d be in the ICU right now. This story hit every single emotional note with the precision of a world-class orchestra. It has that rare 'vacation magic' where you forget your own name for 247 pages and then wake up at the end feeling like a brand new person. A true 5-star experience is supposed to feel like a high-end holiday for your imagination, and this one delivered a first-class ticket. It has that sense of completion that is so hard to find where every thread is tied, every emotion is earned, and you’re left sitting in silence for twenty minutes after the final period just staring at the wall. It’s that 'magical vacation' vibe where you’re sad it’s over, but you’re so filled with the warmth of the journey that you can’t even be mad at the flight home.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This book is a masterpiece that got stuck at 99% loading. It’s fantastic, it’s polished, and I’m definitely recommending it to everyone I know—but that final 1% of 'wow factor' is playing hide-and-seek. It’s like a high-five where the hands don't quite make that satisfying pop sound. Still a great time, still worth the sleep deprivation, but I’m keeping my ‘All-Time Favorites’ shelf gated off for just a little longer."
⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Reading this book is like going on a date with someone who only wants to talk about the weather. It’s perfectly pleasant, nobody gets hurt, but you definitely aren't calling them back for a second date. It’s not a crime against literature like a 1 star, It just won't change your life, it won't break your heart, and it certainly won't make you gasp. It’s a 'break glass in case of boredom' kind of book."
⭐️⭐️"While this book shows promise through its compelling premise and redeeming characters, the execution is currently too thin to warrant more than two stars. The narrative suffers from a lack of follow-through; without deeper character histories to ground the motivations or a clear sense of direction, the plot feels stagnant. To truly succeed, these half-baked concepts need to be fully realized into a cohesive, intentional flow."
⭐️‼️"Consider this a public service announcement: avoid this book at all costs. It’s rare to encounter work this fundamentally flawed, but the lack of craft here is staggering. I only use the one-star rating for the 'worst of the worst,' and this fits the bill perfectly. It’s a total dumpster fire—bring a fire extinguisher if you’re brave enough to get close, but you're better off just walking away.".

Jenna has spent her life staying small, useful, and ready to leave. For six months, Ethan has been the voice in the dark that makes her feel seen before she’s ever looked at. He knows her silences, her fear, and the careful way she protects herself. He just doesn’t know she’s about to reach his ranch with proof that could put them both in danger.
When Jenna uncovers a scheme targeting Ethan’s family, she runs toward the man she’s never met in person. A crash leaves her bruised and vulnerable in his arms, turning their slow-burn connection into something immediate and high-stakes. Ethan is steady, protective, and patient, but the deeper she lets him in, the harder it is to pretend this is only about safety.
As the threat closes in, Jenna has to learn what safety feels like when it isn’t temporary. Ethan has to face what it means to want someone not just to protect, but to keep. Between quiet care, family loyalty, and heat built on trust, their marriage becomes more than a shield. It becomes the first place either of them can stop bracing.
Jenna grows from a guarded woman who expects safety to disappear into someone who accepts care, claims desire, and stays without treating it like a trap. Ethan grows from a restrained protector who manages everyone else’s needs into a man who lets himself want, be wanted, and receive care in return. Their relationship becomes a physical, trust-based marriage where desire, consent, caretaking, and emotional safety are inseparable.
An ultra-steamy, cowboy romance about a guarded woman, a protective man, and a marriage that becomes more than a shield. It’s about chosen safety, trust after abandonment, healing through intimacy, and learning love can protect without controlling. At its heart, it’s about two people who stop surviving alone and start building a home together.
The Elevator Pitch: A guarded woman with stolen evidence crashes into the life of the cowboy whose voice has been her only safe place for months. As danger closes in, protection turns into a marriage neither of them can pretend is only practical. What begins as survival becomes a fierce, intimate reckoning with trust, desire, and the terrifying choice to stay.
Jenna works at the regional LandCorp office. She doesn’t love her job, but she’s good at it, and she needs the health insurance because of her autoimmune condition, which manifests itself as very painful eczema. She’s been talking to a cowboy, Ethan Sutton, for six months now, having been paired by Marlie’s Angels, an agency who finds cowboys their perfect match.
She’s already in love with Ethan, though they’ve never seen each other, not even in pictures. She’s also a former foster child, so she’s guarded. Very guarded. And with good reason. After talking with Ethan one night, she stumbles upon some files that absolutely shouldn’t be there. Those files confirm that LandCorp is responsible for the poisoning of the water at both Sutton ranches, nearly killing Tom Sutton’s wife.
So what’s a girl to do? So many people would have turned a blind eye, or reported it without any evidence. That isn’t Jenna, though.
Needless to say, she takes the data, gets in her car, and heads for Ethan’s ranch. Because she is not going to let the man she loves go through the horror of losing the land they’ve built on for three generations.
Ethan is the quiet type. He says only what needs to be said, and doesn’t exaggerate. He finds Jenna in a ditch where her car ran off the road when she swerved for a deer. He doesn’t have anything to identify her, but he knows it’s Jenna.
I loved this story, and loved finally getting some movement against those jerks trying to steal the Sutton land, just because there are minerals under their shared aquifer. Gotta love corporate greed (sarcasm). Ethan and Jenna are a perfect pair, and it’s amazing to see how people fully blossom into their true selves when they find that person who fully gets them.
So, get the book. Especially if you’ve been following this series. Because this ain’t over yet.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rescued by the Cowboy by Violet Rae and Fern Fraser is a high-heat, protective cowboy romance that blends danger, instant connection, and a strong found-family ranch setting.
Ethan is a classic protective alpha hero—steady, intense, and immediately all-in once he finds Jenna injured and running from danger. His instinct to protect her quickly shifts into something deeper, as he goes from rescuer to someone emotionally invested in her healing and safety.
Jenna is vulnerable but not passive. She’s clearly been through something traumatic, and her slow trust in Ethan feels believable and emotional. The way she begins to see safety in him adds a soft but powerful layer to their connection.
The fated-love and mail-order-bride setup drives the instant intensity, but what keeps the story engaging is the emotional progression between them. Their bond grows through trust, protection, and the sense of belonging that develops on the ranch.
The added external threat from a corporate villain raises the stakes, giving the romance urgency without overshadowing the central relationship. The found-family atmosphere of Clover Canyon also adds warmth and comfort to balance the danger and heat.
If you enjoy protective cowboy romances with instant chemistry, emotional vulnerability, and a guaranteed HEA, this is a satisfying and heartfelt read.

"I've been waiting for you since before I knew your name"
Jenna and Ethan are both carrying a weight, a weight that is crippling and overshadows, a weight that becomes who they are seen as, rather than who they really are. Jenna has been carrying her own history and illness her whole life, but she uncoverers something dark, dangerous and threatening, something she has to show Ethan. So she acts, with no thought of the cost to herself or her health....she protects. Ethan has been carrying the weight of the ranch, his brother's, the feud and the threats for almost his whole life, it's what he does, who he's become. Jenna is the first to see past Cowboy Ethan and Protector Ethan to the man beneath, just Ethan. She is the first to offer him something back and share his burden with acceptance and no expectations. It is beautiful to see these two broken and exhausted people finally lower their walls and let another close enough to share the burden. We see them offer acceptance, heal, grow, love and fight together. They fight the hidden threats and protect their home and family the only way they know how.... quietly. This is a beautiful addition to the Havenstone world, it took me longer than usual to read it as there were tears....more than once. This is the most emotional book of the series so far but I have a feeling the final book in the series, Gabriel's book, will be more so, I am bracing for an emotional tornado. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Protective Cowboy, Goat Chaos, and All the Feels 🐐💌
Okay, I loved this one 🥹
Rescued by the Cowboy gave me the perfect mix of soft romance, real danger, and unhinged humor. Ethan and Jenna’s connection starting through emails and phone calls had me hooked right away. No photos, just falling for each other’s voices? I ate that up.
Ethan is that protective, steady, acts-of-service type, and I was gone the moment he started checking on her, telling her to go home, making sure she ate 😮💨 and calling her “Jen”? Stop.
Jenna’s backstory hit hard. That line about counting heads and finding exits? Yeah… I felt that. So when she says no one has ever fought for her until him? I was DONE 😭
And then the chaos. The crash. The rescue. The company coming after them. And the fact that their entire defense ended up inside a goat named Dorito??? I was crying laughing 💀
What I loved most is how straightforward it was. She tells him everything. His family believes her. No dragged-out miscommunication, just action, trust, and protection.
Their relationship felt real. A little awkward, very soft, deeply emotional. And those quiet moments at the end? That sense of peace, safety, and finally belonging… yeah, that got me 🥹
Also, Bug and Glitch aka the Tweedles?? Obsessed.
Such a good balance of romance, suspense, and humor. And I’m already ready for Gabriel’s story 👀

Wow this series just gets better and better. You must read the other stories first, as 1) they’re bloody brilliant and 2) you’ll miss out on loads of references if you don’t. Ethan the middle Sutton brother/cousin has been looking after his family since his mum died in childbirth. He’s the quiet heart of the family always giving, never taking. He gets a match through our favourite matchmaker with Jenna and they talk for six months, never realising how there lives were already entwined. Jenna is a former foster child, living with the impact of never being chosen, she’s working for a company she’s doesn’t like because of their medical plan, as it covers the increasing costs of her autoimmune condition. Ethan and Jenna have never seen each other, but there bond if already strong. During one late night conversation Ethan asks her to come to him and gives his address, this address is familiar to Jenna so with a little digging she’s realises that the company she is working for is responsible for the troubles Ethan’s family are experiencing. This leads to them finally meeting in person and that bond already established continues to grow. Brilliant storytelling, you’re invested with the characters and whole family. Cannot wait for the next in the series!!

4.25 stars. This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and an emotional, sweet and steamy, arranged relationship, contemporary romance between Ethan, the male rancher lead, and Jenna, the female lead who finds her corporate employer has been engaging in criminal activities directed towards Ethan’s family. I empathised with the historical pain both characters carried, especially the physical manifestation in the skin condition Jenna carried. I enjoyed seeing Jenna find a space where she could feel truly at home. I enjoyed seeing Ethan learn to lean on others, not just provide support. I chuckled at the comedy relief provided by the pet animals. I enjoyed the building intimacy and the way it showed the relationship development. I enjoyed Ethan’s supportive family. I enjoyed the set up for the next story.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
A female heroine who has an autoimmune disorder is a lead many of us can relate to. The fact Jenna was raised in foster care is relatable to many. The strength, honesty, and perseverance of Jenna makes this story fabulous. Ethan is the handsome cowboy with too much on his shoulders. He falls for Jenna and notices her, really, totally notices her. But, corporate corruption is bearing down on them and Ethan’s family. I love the way this family closes ranks and watches out for one another. I adored the appropriate steaminess of Jenna and Ethan. This book is excellent, with well-written characters, an incredible storyline, and a happy ending. There was no cliffhanger, but now I am vested in how the younger brother makes out. Will he find his true love? I hope this author’s next book is about him. This was a very enjoyable read.

Jenna and Ethan are matched online but have yet to meet after six months of talking and growing closer. When Jenna discovers the company she works for is actively trying to damage and take control of Ethan’s family’s farms. A face to face meeting is sped up to show her evidence. After some bumps Jenna settles and is welcomed into the family by Ethan’s brothers, cousins and their wives. Jenna is a child of the system and has never felt love and comfort like it. All is not safe though as she has stolen damaging data from her workplace and they want it back. Jenna puts her trust in Ethan and his in hers. Together they work to fight back and protect growing closer and closer by the day. This is a brilliant book. Another winner in the series. I felt for both characters as they have their own unique characteristics, This book had a gripping story, positive and likable characters and plenty of heat that Violet and Fern write so well. A must read.
I absolutely LOVED it!!! I am still feeling all the feels from this phenomenal book!! Ethan and Jenna have the most beautiful bond! I love how they both saw each other without having actually seen each other!!! My heart broke for both of them hearing their stories and struggles! Violet and Fern definitely know how to bring REAL LIFE experiences and daily issues people have into their stories & show that they can be managed and you don’t have to be alone on the fight!!! The chemistry between them was so far off the charts & the spice was 🔥🔥🥵🥵!!! The intense drama that is continuing throughout this series has me on the edge of my seat!!!! I need to know what’s going to happen!!!! Lol Seriously though this is one of my FAVORITE series and I swear each book just gets better and better!!! I can’t WAIT for the next one already! I know it’s going to be emotional! Highly highly highly recommend this fantastic book!!!
This is book five in the author’s Havenstone series and features another of the Sutton cousins. This one is Ethan’s book and I think he might be the single most romantic MMC I’ve ever read… and that’s saying A LOT!
The thing I think I liked most about this book, other than Ethan (🔥🥵🔥) is the fact that there was none of this wishy washy, do we, don’t we, mess. Don’t get me wrong, at times that’s exactly what a storyline calls for and it’s better for it but I love a good, uncomplicated, straightforward story too and it made this the perfect book, full of tenderness and a slow burn, actual romance.
I honestly can’t recommend this book highly enough and hope you’ll give it a try ‘cause this really isn’t a book you want to miss. 4.5 stars

Book 5 of the Havenstone: Mail Order Brides series. Can be read as a standalone.
'Rescued by the Cowboy is a high-heat, fated-love, protective-alpha cowboy romance featuring a virgin heroine, a matchmaking-service meet-cute, a corporate villain who picked the wrong family, and a found-family ranch in Montana that’s loud, warm, and ready for you.'
The characters were very appealing and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Another great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.
Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

This book will definitely pull at your heartstrings. Ethan and Jenna were matched together by Marlie's Angels. For 6 months, they only communicated with each other through emails, texts, and daily phone calls. They both had insecurities but were perfect for each other. While working for LandCorp, Jenna discovers what the company is trying to do to Ethan's family ranches. She copies the information and runs through the night to Ethan. What follows is their unusual first meeting, which involves a goat, an accident, and him realizing immediately that she is his. Her findings bring the family together to fight against the corruption and danger that follows her to the ranch. This saga that the author has created will keep you coming back for more with each book. I am loving this series.
Rescued by the Cowboy is drama and suspense wrapped in a beautiful love story about two people who truly see each other. Ethan and Jenna each carry their own trauma, and find solace in talking with each other late night. I love that this is how they get to know each other—faceless voices that give them each the courage to truly open up. The overarching series plot takes an unexpected twist, and the way Jenna and Ethan navigate it is such a them way to do so. I loved the quiet moments between these two, the hilarity of the goat escapades balancing out the seriousness of their situation. And the girl moments when it’s just the wives are so precious. This was a great addition to the series! Bring on Gabriel’s story!!!
Jenna has such a good heart and has always done her best. When she comes across some damaging files that are trying to destroy a local ranch well, she's about to risk it all to warn them. When she gets in an accident, all else fails. Ethan is next to fall, and boy, it's gonna be a hard one. When he's checking the line, he comes across a woman and realizes who she is. Now he's going to show her what it means to be taken care of. She has secrets, and she will do whatever she can to save Ethan's ranch and his cousins. As these two work together, their attraction is undeniable, and Ethan's hero complex is evident in his pursuit of marriage and protection. But can they fight the enemy before they all get destroyed?
Jenna signed up for Marlie's Angels 6 months ago and she was matched with Ethan Sutton. They have been talking on the phone every night for 6 months now and Ethan knows she's the one without ever seeing her. Jenna works for Land Corp and when she finds proof that they have been sabotaging the Sutton's properties she decides to get the evidence and take it to Ethan. When Land Corp finds out what she has done they will come after her. This is such an intriguing read and I absolutely loved Jenna and Ethan. Even with Jenna's health problems Ethan stays by her side, swoon. This is a tearful heartfelt sweet and steamy read and I loved it.
This is book number 5 of the Havenstone series and focuses on Ethan and Jenna. Ethan and Jenna were matched together and slowly built up a strong connection over the span of 6 months. When she discovers that the company she works for has been actively sabotaging Ethan's family ranches she immediately gathers the evidence and goes to inform Ethan right away. I absolutely love Ethan and Jenna! They knew each other so well and were able to instinctively know what the other needed before they even knew themselves. This was such a great story and a great addition to the series.

Was die beiden so alles erleben, muss man selber herausfinden.
Wie schon die vorherigen Teile, hat mich auch dieser Teil mehr wie begeistert.
This is book 5 in Havenstone: Mail Order Brides. Ethan and Jenna have been speaking to each other for 6 months due to be matched by an Mail Order Bride agency. I love how kind, caring, and protective Ethan is of Jenna. Jenna and Ethan truly see who each other are and accepts them for their imperfections. Jenna found a family in the Sutton clan with the wives bringing her in their circle. I live Dorito the goat the mischievous chaos maker. Good addition to the series. Can't wait for other characters to get their stories.
This is a decent story that has both a plot and a satisfying romance. Ethan and Jenna met 6 months ago via an online matchmaking service. They havent shared photos but they have talked to each other and have formed a deep connection. Jenna discovers something at work that affects Ethan's family and that is the catalyst for their meeting. The timeline was a bit shaky at times, and the stroy line isn't fully resolved - leaving room for Gabriel's story.

Once I started reading this book I found that I did not want to put it down This is a great series and every book has heart and soul and in this book we have Ethan and Jenna who have known each other for six months but have never actually met. They were paired and whilst they have had many conversations they both have started to develop feelings. This book had a little of everything. Danger, intrigue, some spicy moments and a very Ethan’s very beautiful and supportive family. This is a great series and I have enjoyed each and every book and look forward to reading more.
Jenna and Ethan have been talking for sometime getting to know one another. He asks her to come out to the ranch for a visit, this accelerates when she finds her company has been messing with the ranch. She drives to the ranch but ends up in ditch near the ranch. Ethan finds her on the side of the road and knows this is Jenna. He is ready to make her his but first has to find out what happened.
I loved these two, Ethan and his family are just what Jenna needed.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jenna and Ethan’s story is an emotional one. I had tears running down my cheeks quite a few times. She discovers the firm she works for is doing all it can to poison Ethan’s family farm. The twist is that she and Ethan haven’t ever met, they communicate over nightly phone calls. Jenna runs to said farm, has an accident, Ethan finds her and yep, the love explodes. No more on the farm, lots more on the emotional aspect of their story. Jenna has skin problems, Ethan cares for her. The way these two communicate, care, love was beautiful. A FABULOUS read
It starts with a Matchmaking App and ends with a love story. They fell in love over phone calls. They are both searching for something they are missing in their lives. Ethan and Jenna find it in each other even when she is running from a corrupt corporation. She has info that will destroy the corporation but save two ranches. The best thing about this book is Dorito the goat. I liked the slight humor throughout the book with this goat. I highly recommend this book.

Ethan and Jenna were matched by a mail order bride agency and have been talking for months, but still haven't seen each other in person or seen pictures of each other. When she finds out the company she works for is corrupt, and it has to do with Ethan's family's ranch, things take some interesting turns. This is a great read with a page turning storyline, well developed characters, danger, drama, suspense, sparks, and so much more. Rescued by the Cowboy is book five and a great addition to the Havenstone: Mail Order Brides series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This book has it all. First Jenna finds out that the company she works for is committing conspiracy against Ethan and his family’s land. Ethan and Jenna has been talking to each other for six months. Then we have cats, goats and we can’t forget the famous eat anything goat, Dorito. And of course the love between them. A well written, fast paced story with laugh out moments. This is book five but I hope there is more to come. I received this as an arc and I am leaving my honest review
I received this book from Booksporut yesterday and devoured it. Jenna and Ethan's relationship was one of those that grows little by little: they met through an app and started getting to know each other through calls and messages, like it used to be; little by little, they built trust, patience, and love through their daily interactions. Until they finally met face to face. This book held many surprises for me, truly. It was so sweet, just the kind of sweetness I was looking for. I loved it!
