Love was never part of their holiday build plan

I moved to Snowberry Hollow five years ago to be left alone in the silence and solitude of the mountains. But when Sunny Camden blows into town in a storm of Christmas chaos, my quiet life is thrown into festive flux.

With her candy-cane striped tights, reindeer earmuffs and boots with literal jingle bells, she’s hired to coordinate the town’s annual Christmas festival, but she’s way too much enthusiasm for my taste. So, when the President of the council volunteers me to help Sunny build the booths for the Christmas Market, it’s the last thing I want to do.

She’s irritatingly loud, annoyingly bright, and impossible to ignore. Everywhere she goes she leaves a trail of tinsel, gingerbread and holiday happiness. And now the longer I’m stuck at her side, the more I catch myself waiting for the next laugh, the next smile…the next way she’ll surprise me.

I make things even worse when I tell everyone Sunny and I are together in an effort to dodge a blind date set-up. Now we’re fake dating in front of the entire town, pretending we’re the perfect couple.

She was supposed to be temporary. A holiday storm I just had to weather. But Sunny Camden is giving me something I never thought I’d find again.

Hope.

And for a guy who stopped believing in hope years ago, that’s dangerous, because if I fall for Sunny Camden, there’s no faking my way out of it.

I loved this romcom book. So this is an Indie author that I met back in November and this was her Christmas book that she just came out with. So I had to grab it and read it. Anything romcom that’s gonna make me laugh at Christmas time is a great read. This is a story about a grumpy lumberjack, man and a very enthusiastic Christmas expertise coordinator that came to town. They were arranged to work together to build sets for the Christmas festivities that are taking place in the town right off the bat. It starts with humor and laughter. She runs into his fence before they even met and you just take it from there. The banter back-and-forth is very humorous when you do get to the spice scenes of this bucket. It was top notch. It’s in a cabin. I’ll tell you it involves pink frosting and a gingerbread house. So therefore to work together, and as they are forced to work together, they develop a relationship and Mr. grumpy mountain man has tried to fight it all the way from the beginning. And miss Christmas did not want a relationship as well. One night changed it all. And at the same time that one night tore everything down. There is a happy ever after in this book. I highly recommend checking it out if you want a good Christmas read it’s a semi short read, but I definitely will be picking up other books from this author.

I loved this book! It is a Hallmark movie without the bad acting. LOL It was sweet, steamy, funny, frustrating, all of the feelings! Sunny is so endearing. Wilder is your classic grump. The way that Sunny opens him up is just perfection. Their happily ever after will be spectacular. If you haven’t already, read all of Susan Renee’s books. Her ability to draw you into the characters lives is truly amazing.

This had potential at the start to be a 4 star read. “Grumpy mountain man” didn’t need to be on every other page 🙃

How much did I love this grumpy mountain man? Oh so much! Sunny is a holiday loving, bright light in the storm, while Wilder is the grump that just wants to be left alone. They have a great back and forth that had the smiles coming easy. The tension sizzles, and I loved how that grew and progressed so smoothly. The entire town is full of amazing characters and I enjoyed every moment with them. This is the perfect read to curl up with on a cold night.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

AHHHHHHHH!!! It took me awhile to get into this story because it was new and different and was changing gears to a whole new world.

Wilder, he’s lost his parents (not mentioned how) and his sister who was his other half. Her loud and wild and chaotic to his somber and simple. When she passed he retreated so far into himself he didn’t know which way was up.

Then one Christmas season Sunny Camden literally crashed into his fence post and into his life. She is Christmas joy on steroids and just what he needed.

Sunny, she has lost some big people in her life also so she absolutely understands his feelings she has just decided to process them differently.

They understand each other and balance each other very well and it was very fun to watch her pull him out of his self imposed grumpy shell.

I absolutely loved how the whole town got involved with their love story in a very meddling family member tho of way 🥰🥰

She helped them by helping to plan Christmas festivities and they helped him by pairing them together.

Good grief they were cute! And I could see so much more from this town too if she wanted to expand it!

Such a fun story!

It was a cute Christmas book to read. Very heartwarming. Sunny and Wilder both came in with their own traumas, and each person was handling it very differently. Loved with the characters, definitely recommend this Christmas season.

Personal Thoughts 🤔: Sunny is bright and cheery, while Wilder…is not. He has a lot of understandable hangups when it comes to the holiday season and when he meets Sunny, she rubs him in all the wrong ways. So, of course, he lies about her to a townsperson and creates a situation that forces them to pretend to be in love! The chemistry of these two may cause spontaneous pregnancies so take that under advisement before diving into this charming holiday romance!

Sunny was hired to make Christmas festive again. She’s tasked with making the Snowberry Hollow’s holiday event feel like a real Christmas movie. What Sunny didn’t expect was a grumpy mountain man who hates Christmas. They need to work side by side on this event. How do you spend so much time with someone and not fall for them?

I love that Wilder calls Sunny “Snowflake”. When Sunny drives her car into Wilder’s fence I was laughing since it was due to an inflatable snowman. That first meeting was definitely something. It’s cute how when she says his name for the first time he’s caught off guard. The rules are funny because I doubt she’ll be able to not sing Christmas songs. The ending was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have asked for anything better!

I smiled from the second the book started. I did cry a few times but I mostly just laughed and smiled. It’s such a sweet wholesome Christmas story and everyone needs to read it. Susan did an amazing job!

This is a fun small-town romance with a lot of banter. This story is about Sunny who is hired to help with the Christmas Festival and Wilder that is a grumpy guy who is forced to help build the booths for the festival. She has a Christmas level of about 15, while Wilder's is at a 2. He avoids everything Christmas and all people as much as possible. Sunny starts to rub off on him and they begin getting along better. Wilder is confronted by a woman in town trying to set him up with her granddaughter, he lies and says he's dating Sunny. They begin fake dating and making the town believe they are falling in love, the problem is they are actually falling for each other and Wilder won't admit it. Wilder pushes her away and she loses all her spunk, by the time he realizes he messed up he only has a limited time to fix it before she leaves town. Can he come up with something to win her back and keep her with him?

This was my first book by this author, and I really enjoyed it. It very much felt like a Hallmark movie at Christmas time in the best way. It was swoony, there was spice, there were memorable moments, and it was just enjoyable from start to finish. I loved these characters and how they were so opposite, she was so sunshine and he was so grumpy and it just worked. Because you could tell they had an instant connection and felt so much for each other. Over the course of this book you definitely get to see them push each other‘s buttons, and feel everything for each other simultaneously, and I just loved it.

This book is definitely a great holiday read! It definitely has some feels, it’s got a great romance, and it will definitely put you in the holiday spirit. I absolutely loved reading this book and the fun that I brought! It was just great from start to finish and I can’t wait to read more from this author soon!

Wilder and Sunny

Susan Renee has a knack for making you feel all the feelings when you read her books. Jingle Bell Fling is no different. You will laugh and cry and more while reading this book, but do not despair because you will not be left heartbroken by the end.

This is the story of Wilder and Sunny. They both experienced something similar in their past, but their responses are completely different. You will laugh at all the adjectives Wilder uses to describe Sunny (chaos, glitter bombs, mess and mayhem). You will laugh at their banter, and you will love with the "village" comes together to help one of their own.
Get ready to be entertained and also laugh, cry, and hope while reading Jingle Bell Fling.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hallmark movie without the cheesy acting!

Jingle Bell Fling is such a cute, heartfelt story that had me laughing one minute and tearing up the next! Wilder is your classic grumpy grinch, while Sunny lives up to her name with all her sunshine, sparkle, and total obsession with Christmas. Watching her slowly melt his icy exterior was pure joy.

Of course, Wilder manages to mess things up (I definitely yelled at him a few times!), but his struggles feel real and understandable. And don’t worry, he redeems himself in a way that’s totally worth the emotional roller coaster.

If you love holiday romances with genuine emotion and characters that feel real, this one’s a must-read.

The PERFECT book for the holiday. It's got just the right amount of small town love, quirky characters, grumpy sunshine and spice to make the perfect blend. Wilder and Sunny are delightful. I love how he tries to hard to keep up his grumpy exterior and keep her at an arm's length because he knows that one touch, one inch is all she needs to weasel her way into his life and into his heart. I loved her persistence and how she just wanted to make the town something special for the holidays. These two and this town will melt your heart and have the pages heating up. This is a MUST for the holiday season!

This book is super cute - exactly what you want from a Christmas story. I loved the story with grumpy loner Wilder who has his life crashed into ( literally) but the super bubbly Sunny. Both hurt before and although opposites the attraction is undeniable ( though Wilder tries !). However he falls fast and their love story is set around the Christmas activities in Snowberry Hollow. The whole town soon becomes invested in their romance. This story is sweet but with some spice and a gem of a holiday story.

It features a fun-loving FMC that absolutely loves Christmas and needs to work together with the small town well known Grinch of a Grump MMC to make the towns Christmas fair one to remember...

From the first meeting with these two, the sparks are flying ✨️ but both are fighting the pull that they feel between them...

But once they are caught in a fake dating situation, things become sticky ... and I mean STICKY ... What this man does with frosting will let u look differently while creating your gingerbread house this festive season

What happens when you take a bubbly, Christmas loving party planner, and make her work with the town’s Mr. Anti-Christmas? You get Jingle Bell Fling.

Sunny and Wilder are great characters, and their story is one of the sweetest, funniest, most heartwarming stories of the holiday season.

If you are a fan of small town romance, love a good grumpy sunshine vibe, and want to get into the Christmas spirit, then I highly recommend you add this to your winter holiday TBR.

Such a cute Christmas read!! 🎄 The grumpy/sunshine trope was done perfectly! Susan Renee never disappoints — this one had all the cozy holiday feels, a little spice, and so much heart. Both characters have their own traumas and are just trying to get through the season, and what starts as fake dating turns into something so real and sweet. 💕 Totally Hallmark-worthy… but with a spicy twist! 🔥 Loved it!

Cute grumpy sunshine holiday romance with a fun storyline. Kane Wilder is the grumpy carpenter to Sunny's bright Christmas obsessed party planner that must work together for the town festival. Their relationship is entertaining from the very beginning, throw in a lovable meddling town and you have the makings for the perfect holiday RomCom.

Steamy Holiday romance. If you like hallmark's holiday movies and can handle some spice then this book is for you. I love the depth of the characters. Wilder and Sunny have the grumpy sunshine trope down. I love how their backgrounds, while similar, caused them to look at like so differently. As always, the banter was excellent. Can't wait to read whatever Susan has for us next.

Great story that put me in the Christmas Spirit. I love a good grumpy sunshine story. You couldn’t get any grumpier than Wilder and Sunny just sparkled with her Christmas spirit. The story also offered some humor, vulnerability and character growth. A great choice for the winter and holiday season.

If you like all magical moments that are in a Hallmark movies you will enjoy this book.

Sunny is over the top when it comes to Christmas. For her it’s a way to remember her family. Where Wilder is the town grump, that doesn’t do Christmas ever since his other half passed away.

Sunny literally comes crashing into Wilder’s life. Not only that they are forced to work with each other to build the festival market, you have the whole town meddling to get these two together. Add Christmas magic and you have a Christmas Romcom romance story.

For me I couldn’t get into the story like I hoped to.

I tried, I really did. While I LOVED the Christmas themed everything in this book, that seems to be the only thing I liked. The story was just so cliche and cringy. How does the tough, grumpy mountain man turn into a little bit** so quickly?! I was so annoyed with the, “I hurt her, blah blah blah. I don’t want her, yes I do, blah blah blah.”

Predictable but cute holiday story

Wilder and Sunny both lost someone close to them but deal with it in different ways. Sunny overcompensates with holiday cheer and Wilder turned into a grumpy mountain man afraid to love again. Are we sure that Wren was Wilder’s sister? The way he thinks and talks about her sounds more like a former lover. It was a bit weird.

An adorable Christmas read! I thought this book was witty, adorable! I liked both of the main characters. Wilder was grumpy which is one of my faves. Sunny was sweet. It just took me a little to get into than normal but I think that was more of a me problem!

Thank you to Susan for the E-arc.
