Only read this because I wanted to take a short break from reading fighting for control. This ultimately reminded me of a female ghostface (specifically Amber Freeman) going after her female crush (Tara Carpenter) so I enjoyed this read. 4 stars ⭐️

This is for book 1 and the follow up novella. They're short, but gripping and leaves you wanting more. I mean after book 1, I jumped right into the next - I just couldn't wait.
Now I'm not ashamed to admit that I have to watch horror movies under a blanket or behind a pillow. But horror books?... I love them!! This story involves a stalker, an abandoned warehouse, and a dare to spend the night alone in it. A game of cat and mouse that changes two lives overnight.
I can't wait to finish the series.

I can’t be the only one that LOVES unhinged lesbians, that know what they want and exactly how to get it. The chemistry between Nessa and Ez is electric, they match each others crazy perfectly.
But what you don’t expect is the underlying theme of insecurity with Nessa, it’s there, it’s noticeable and it adds that layer of depth to a novella that is essentially about predator and prey. And it’s that underlying theme and Ez’s need to soothe and show her that she’s worth it all, that will have you truly panting and wanting so much more!

This was exactly what the author said it was going to be and I loved every minute of it. I absolutely love spooky season and have fully embraced summerween. I've been elbow deep in campy slasher books, psychotic serial killers and all the creepy things that go bump in the night, but my moody brain was missing something. It was this, this book was what I was missing. I absolutely loved that it was Sapphic and I literally sat down and devoured it. There was no way I could put it down. I loved that the characters seemed real, not air brushed, perfect AI types haha I also fully appreciated the spicy scenes were real too, not performative or something directed towards the male gaze. I am now officially a fan of the author and book 2 is loaded on my kindle now.

This was short, sweet, perfection. Although, sweet might not be the right word. Sexy and spooky more like.
This novella had EVERYTHING I could want in a dark sapphic romance.
It’s like Cirrus knew what was on my all-time checklist and made it happen.
And the writing was so good! I can’t wait to continue this series and read more from this author!

A Sapphic, erotic thriller with a masc in a Ghostface mask? YES! I wish this was longer! Definitely need more F/F masked stalky chasing, dark, primal wlw books in my life and thankfully, there’s 4 in this series! So excited to read the rest.
It’s a quick and dirty read with a focus on fear and spice over plot depth. For me, I’d have preferred it to be a bit longer and have more backstory and depth, but it’s fun, fast paced, dark and spicy, and definitely scratches that itch for a big strong masc in a mask to come rough you up a bit.
Whilst it’s pretty obvious roughly what’s going to happen, not knowing WHO the person in the Ghostface mask is was pretty fun, especially the reveal. The revenge at the end was very fun too!

Nessa tried to prove herself to her uni ‘friends’ by accepting a dare to spend the night in an abandoned/haunted warehouse. However, it turns out she isn’t alone and a certain masc in a mask is about to have some fun…

Wow wow, this was a quick, hot read. I was influenced on Instagram to read this, and I'm not mad about it. This is dark romance, a genre I don't typically read, but now I'm thinking I should read more. Be sure to read the trigger warnings before diving in. After reading about 50% of this, I went ahead and bought the rest of the series. The writing flowed well and was easy to read. The spice was spicing. You won't regret reading it. I recommend this for lovers of dark romance that moves quickly. No waiting around for this one!

It was a simple post "I heard you were tired of reading about masked men and pretending they were women..."
Nice and simple, but enough to grab my attention. As time went by I learned more about the Masked Mascs series as well as Little Lamb in particular. So when ARC applications opened, I jumped at the chance.
And I'm very happy that I did. I blew through this story and loved every moment of it.
Little Lamb is a novella, just barely longer than 100 pages. Nessa takes on a dare from her friends and has to spend the night in an abandoned warehouse. But she's not alone.
The chase scenes in this book were thrilling with a touch of brutality to them. It's not just running away from someone in a field of daisies. I really enjoyed how Nessa's panic, and later attraction, were described in the book. it felt like seeing into a Final Girls head.
The sex scenes...yeah they had me in a chokehold. I was way too into them. They blended fear and attraction well, allowing both characters to be into the action.
I really enjoyed Little Lamb and I am just as excited for Into the Fire and Till Death. I cannot wait to read more!

I 100% picked this up after reading Mask & Strap (which was great), and Scream is my favorite movie, so the cover kinda got my attention. This was not very good. The story was corny and was giving "I am an edgy stalker." It was as if Tate Langdon from AHS was a lesbian chasing Violet in Asylum. I wasn't buying it. When it comes to smut, I have to buy in, and it wasn't hot enough for me to buy in, but I will try another in the series to see if I was just not a fan of these two characters (because I fear that was the issue here).

Look, if there's a Ghostface mask is involved, you've got my attention. a WOMAN in that mask? I'm reading that! The only thing I wish was different is the length of the book. I could read about these characters for longer. I really liked this story. It was dark, sapphic and spicy. Which happen to be some of my favourite things.

The premise immediately grabbed me because a sapphic dark thriller with stalking, kidnapping, obsession, and a masked stranger is basically guaranteed to get my attention. I was definitely curious to see where Nessa and Ez’s story was going to go. And I will say, the book definitely commits to the dark and disturbing atmosphere. Ez is unhinged in a way that made me very curious about her, and the whole cat-and-mouse dynamic between them had some really good tension.

Cirrus Rae is nailing the masked Mascs! I cannot get enough! I read this one and the ARC for Till Death and so far I’m obsessed and in love with all the woman she has given life to! She’s giving the sapphic girlys what they truly deserve, hot Mascs wearing masks and taking what they want, with consent of course!

This is a nice, dark, feral, scary lesbian thriller that is fast paced, spicy and perfect for my scary movie loving arse. If you are into choosing chaos, dangerous scenes and so very spicy, this quickie is a sure hit. 4 stars To Cirrus Rae thanks for hearing all of us dark loving lesbians out here in the wild.
