The Witches of Bramberry Forest

Rate this book
The Witches of Bramberry Forest is the third installment of the Vessels of the Gods series, with dual storylines perfect for fans who want a witchy, Vampire Diaries-esque love triangle - and who love when enemies become lovers, deadly secrets are exposed, and betrayal leads to broken hearts, rallied magic, and drawn blades.

Forgotten. Forsaken. Formidable.

Dove Koroleva is the weakest witch in her Coven. Desperate to prove herself, Dove agrees to travel to the Jade Palace and assist with translating a Vessel Book - the key to the witches gaining blessed magic from the gods once more.

But something sinister lurks in the Bramberry Forest, and Dove stumbles upon a dark ritual that threatens everything she's ever believed. Now, harboring deadly secrets of her own, Dove is tangled between the charming Prince Regent's affection … and the ruthless hunter determined to uncover the truths of the Vessel Book for himself.

Merrick finds himself in a strange Kingdom with no way to contact Irridessen or confirm Lenna is safe. Taken prisoner again, he's offered a help his captor banish a formidable threat or die - for good this time. As the darkness in his mind grows heavy, and his steadfast opinions waver, Merrick must decide what price is worth paying to save the Oracle of Terramere, and where exactly his loyalties lie.

“never underestimate a vengeful woman.”

the way i would let every single woman in this series beat my ass needs to be studied. but LAWWWD they are all so incredible. i’m a simple enby - a woman exists and i worship her.

WOBF was so different from the first two books in this series, and i think it may be my favorite one so far. were put smack in the middle of the jade kingdom, a land filled with the witch covens who have been exiled from the rest of the world.

…yeah. is anyone shocked now that i’m a harlot for them?

i will admit that at first i was thrown off by the completely new characters (minus my sweet gargoyle baby merrick) but i absolutely gobbled it up. while i was curious about what our og crew was doing during this time, this story kept me hooked and did NOT disappoint.

we’ve got new beasties, new magic, new reveals, new world building, new politics. katerina stevens continues to build an intricate, fascinating world that i can’t wait to keep diving into. one of my favorite series of 2025 for sure.

The third book in the Vessels Of The Gods series is outstanding!
Going in I wasn’t sure what to expect as we are ripped away from the previous story line into a new one. But it was incredible.
I quickly fell for the new characters and their stories. They are absolutely lovable and relatable. The women are fierce, powerful, and witty. The banter is excellent and so engaging.
The plot is exceptional and ties the previous books in perfectly. The romance and relationships are unforgettable. I was kept engaged the whole way through right on the edge of my seat.
Of course I cannot leave out the beasties! They are a great addition to the story enhancing the emotional connections to the entire book.

The way this series has progressed and developed has left me completely impressed and totally obsessed. I am so excited for what comes next!

OKAY so l just finished The Witches of Bramberry Forest and
LET ME TELL YOU!!
This series has me in a chokehold.
I'll admit I was a little nervous about meeting new characters and exploring a new land (ESPECIALLY after that Book 2 cliffhanger), but the witches of Bramberry Forest and the Jade Kingdom have completely stolen my heart. I'm so glad I trusted Katerina, because Winnie and Dove might just be my new favorite characters (aside from my sweet emo bb angel Merrick, ily boo boo).
Katerina can write feminine rage like nobody's business.
"Vindictive bitches recognize vindictive bitches" indeed.
In all seriousness, I was blown away again by the writing, the pacing, and the way everything is starting to come together in this epic fantasy tapestry. And ANOTHER cliffhanger?!
My mind is blown. I need Book 4 like... yesterday.

Oh boy, where do I even start with this one? Frankly, I’ve re-written this review several times because I simply can not put into words how much I loved this book.

I absolute adore the characters from QOSAS and QOWF, but this group of new characters we get introduced to, dare I say are my favorite yet? The coven family bonds, broody males with new romances (I’ll never look at a boulder the same way again), a new magic system, & twists and turns along the way - top tier storytelling.

To me, this book is about acceptance - choosing your own path no matter what the legends or “history” says is right and wrong or good and evil. This journey into the Jade Kingdom was thrilling, emotional, and had me enamored every step of the way. And that ending... Katerina, you’re literally KILLING me with these epilogues. I can not WAIT to see what happens next.

Wow... just wow!! I was blown away by the third installment of the series. Seriously good stuff right here!!

I was a bit nervous to start this one as I loved all the characters from the first 2 books but Katerina has done a marvellous job at weaving the Witches into the story. I loved Dove and Winnie, what great girls with big personalities! So excited to see where this goes next.... I need book 4 like now!!

Fantastic read and 100% recommend these books to anyone who will listen.

Thank you for the copy of your wonderful book and thank you for introducing to an amazing series.

This is the third book in the Vessels of the Gods series. After falling in love with the first two books, I wasn't sure what to expect from this book knowing we would be getting new characters. However, I have to say that I really enjoyed it.

As always, Katerina gives us powerful women, unique world building, and banter for days. She has definitely become one of my auto-buy authors.

This is the third book into the Jade Kingdom. QOSAS and QOWF were fantastic reads with QOWF being my favorite so far. The twists and turns that Katerina takes in all of the books but especially this one keeps you on your toes. The imagery makes me feel as if I am there. Great job, I love it!
