Megapolis

Rate this book
Imagine a world where harmony is the law, and respect for life is absolute.
In Megapolis, every being — from human to insect — has the right to happiness. There is no crime, no violence, no cruelty. The rule is “Your rights end where another’s begin.”

But when sixteen-year-old Nina accidentally steps on a bee, her life changes forever. In a society where every action is a choice, she must stand trial in a system that accepts no accidents.

Trials, judgment, and the loss of trust lead her to encounters with enemies and unexpected allies. And it is within Megapolis that she meets Nikola. He becomes Nina’s support and awakens in her new feelings built on mutual respect and understanding.

The novel shows that even in the most perfect world, where every need seems fulfilled, problems and new desires will always arise — especially when you are a teenager. But any problem can be solved, and any need met, as long as you don’t give up on yourself when it feels like the whole world is against you, but instead look around, seek solutions, cherish those who love and respect you, and build healthy relationships based on understanding.

Beautifully written and quietly powerful. It left me thinking about freedom, love, and the hidden cost of perfection long after I finished.
