Greta Sinclair is a multiple Amazon bestselling cozy mystery author and 2025 Global Book Awards Silver Medal winner for A Very Sticky Murder.

When a Nashville dance hall owner turns up dead, PI Hattie Leiper is pulled into a case where every suspect knows the steps, and every alibi has a misstep.

The prime suspect?

A champion line dancer and notorious ex of Hattie’s bestie, who insists he’s been framed.

With her grumpy Chow Chow, Moose, keeping a skeptical eye, her crime-magnet British Shorthair, Cecil, and the timely assistance of handsome detective Bo Becket, Hattie follows a trail of erased security footage, hidden flash drives, and a bloodied silver cane.

Everyone connected to the dance hall including a sharp-tongued business partner, and a number-fudging accountant, has a motive that could destroy them all.

While Hattie must unravel the lies and expose the alliances, time is ticking with each passing beat, and one wrong move could be her final note.

This was a fun cozy mystery. It starts shortly after the previous book ends. The mystery is centered around murder, embezzlement, and dancing. I thought this one might go in a different direction. I was a little disappointed by that. The story was still interesting, and I am looking forward to the next one.

Dancing with Murder is an enchanting addition to Greta Sinclair’s A Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery Series. The intrigue and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat as I accompanied Hattie on her quest for answers. From the very first page, I was completely absorbed and couldn’t bear to pause my reading for even a moment.

The situation intensifies for Hattie and her companions with the demise of a Nashville dance hall proprietor. With the assistance of her Chow Chow, Moose, her British Shorthair, Cecil, and the charming detective Bo Becket, Hattie’s sleuthing uncovers numerous suspects harboring secrets they desperately wish to keep concealed from everyone else.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the books in the Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery Series, but I must admit that Dancing with Murder elevated the experience significantly as it was incredibly engaging.

I can’t get enough of Hattie and her furry friends, as well as the perilous situations she frequently encounters. I eagerly anticipate diving into the next installment in the Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery Series to discover what mystery Hattie and her companions will find themselves entangled in next.

I found Dancing with Murder to be such a delightful read that I strongly recommend all cozy mystery enthusiasts to pick up a copy today for yet another thrilling mystery to unravel!

When Hattie Leiper moves to Nashville with her black Chow Chow, Moose, and her British Shorthair cat, Cecil, she never expects to be pulled into one mystery after another.
And when her best friend Gracie's ex- boyfriend and champion line dancer, Caleb Ransom, comes to town and begs Hattie to help him deal with an embezzlement accusation made by a local dancehall owner, Hattie is, of course, hesitant.
After all, Caleb broke Gracie's heart into a hundred thousand pieces and disappeared while planning their wedding.
But, Hattie agrees to help him, with Gracie's blessing, and soon she's embroiled in a murder mystery with plenty of suspects and a case with so many twists and turns it's hard to keep up!
Once again, Greta Sinclair has hit one out of the park! I just love her writing style and the way she puts the clues together to keep me reading!
Hattie and Detective Bo Beckett's relationship goes up a notch and I can't wait to try Bob's grandmother's Peach Cobbler recipe (at the end of the book).
I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and I am excited to leave this voluntary review!

This novel delivers a strong entry in the cosy mystery genre.

The plot moves at a steady pace from the first email that draws Hattie Leiper into the case to the discovery of Jasper Harwood’s death.

Each chapter adds fresh evidence and suspicion, keeping the reader engaged without confusion.

The characters are well-drawn.

Hattie leads with focus and resolve. Moose, Cecil, and Mini Pearl give warmth without stealing the spotlight. Gracie Biscuit and Detective Bo Beckett add loyalty and tension, while suspects such as Caleb Ransom, Maggie Vaughn, and Lainey Ella Knight bring layers of motive and secrecy.

These interactions create depth in the narrative.

The writing style is clear and direct. Dialogue flows and drives the story forward.

The descriptions of settings like Music Row and Urban Cowboy provide enough detail to ground the reader without slowing the pace.

Recommended for readers who enjoy character-driven mysteries with steady intrigue and a strong sense of place.

Can Hattie help prove Grace’s ex innocent of embezzlement?

When Grace’s ex calls her and asks for her help, of course, Hattie has to check with Grace before she decides to do anything. When Grace gives the okay, Hattie starts to investigate the embezzlement. Big shock, the owner of the establishment the ex is accused of embezzling from ends up murdered. I really enjoy these stories. How Hattie decided to move into a little apartment on Music Row, along with her black Chow Chow Moose and ends up being adopted by Cecil the cat and also ends up with a Yorkie after she solves the murder of the Yorkie’s owner, and the life that she’s created for herself with friends, a romantic interest and a job she enjoys. After all, she catches a lot of little details others miss. These stories are all heartwarming in one way or another as Hattie always does what she feels is the right thing to do.

This is the third book in the Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery Series and it grabs you from the start while you try guessing the murderer. When Hattie's best friend, Gracie's ex, champion line dancer, Caleb Ransom, gets framed for the murder, he wants Hattie to help him. Who wanted the owner of the Dance Hall dead? Who wants Caleb to take the fall and why? Hattie takes the case with her smart chow chow Moose and her British Short Hair, Cecil along with Detective Bo Becket she begins to sort out potential suspects. But she has to deal with tampered security camera footage and miscues and gets into some danger. Can she sort it all out and find a murderer and clear Caleb? You have to read this book to find out! And we also have the really sweet budding romance growing between Hattie and Detective Becket. Not only do I highly recommend this book, but I highly recommend the series as well! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

PI Hattie Leiper is hired by Caleb Ransom to clear his name when he is accused of embezzlement, but when the accuser is found murdered, Caleb become the prime suspect. With the help of Detective Bo Becket, Hattie must find the real killer and the shocking reason behind his death.

This is the third book I have read in the Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery series and I can honestly say that I feel the stories just keep getting better. I love how Sinclair has developed the main characters, Hattie and Bo. Not only do they work well together solving mysteries, but the slow burn of their relationship makes the reader root for them. The storyline is fast-paced and engaging. I finished it in less than a day…I didn’t want to put it down! I highly recommend this book to cozy mystery lovers.

Wish I could see Hattie and Bo dancing during their lessons! Gracie’s ex, Caleb, wants PI Hattie Leiper to prove he is innocent of a murder in Urban Cowboy. She takes the case, contingent on Gracie expressing her approval. Hattie’s “team” and Det. Bo Beckett will work together to find the killer of Jasper Harwood. Hattie’s team—Moose, Cecil, and Mini Pearl—are a definite help in this case. It is really fun to read how each of her pets find different clues and respond to her theories. You need to read Dancing with Murder to understand how the tangle of people and situations becomes a solution to murder. Moose and Cecil make sure Hattie and Bo keep looking in the right direction. I read an ARC of Dancing with Murder.

Music Row needs to be renamed Murder Row! PI Hattie Leiper investigates the line dancing fraternity. Her client, Caleb, causes consternation to her best friend, Gracie: they have history. He wants to clear his name from allegations made against him.
Detective Bo, as ever, is right in on the action, giving our Hattie a strong supporting role in his murder investigation — ah, murder! —it didn't start out like that... but murders seem to follow Hattie?
Greta has built a strong cast with Hattie and her animals, Bo and Gracie. There's a lot going on in the story with a number of red herrings to keep us on our toes. The way she uses dynamic words makes the whole scene come alive — very visual. A winning formula.
Really must try that recipe: it sounds delish.

Hattie Leiper is a private investigator in Nashville, quickly building a reputation for solving some tough cases—with help from her faithful Chow Chow, Moose, and her clever cat, Cecil. And of course, there’s Bo, her love interest on the police force.

When a new client asks for help proving he’s been framed for embezzlement by the owner of a local dance studio, Hattie thinks it’s just another tricky case. But before she can dig too deep, the studio owner turns up dead, and suddenly, it’s not just about embezzlement anymore—it’s about murder.

This is the third book in the Hattie Leiper Mystery Series. Each one can be read on its own, but why not treat yourself to all three?

Hattie Leiper, PI, with her trusty animal assistants begin working to solve an embezzlement case and end up in a murder case. With Detective Bo Beckett, they work to solve the case which has twists, turns and no shortage of suspects. The story evolves in true cozy mystery style with some moments of laughter (”I don’t dance.” “Everyone dances. Some of us just do it badly in public.”), supportive animals, the multitude of questions and some harrowing situations to find the guilty party. Get out on the dance floor, take a turn around Nashville, and Two Step your way through a fun murder mystery.

Line dance death
When Jasper Harwood, dance hall owner, is murdered and Hattie's best friend Gracie's much despised ex is the main suspect Hattie knows this case will be tough. With the aid of her pet posse and detective boyfriend Hattie sifts through the clues to find the truth.
Only a 4 star rating for this one as I felt that Hattie's character was not as independent as in the earlier outings. A small quibble I will admit and the story and mystery were both well done, making this a very good read.

Hattie is doing her PI thing again when she gets a call from her friend Gracie's ex, Caleb Ransom. He is being investigated for embezzlement and needs help. Hattie calls Gracie to see if that would be ok and ends up with him as a client. Then her detective boyfriend Bo and she end up investigating Jasper's murder that Caleb is tied to. Lots of moving parts and with help from Hattie's furry assistants they solve the case. Great story in this series.

Greta Sinclair has pulled this reader in again with Dancing with Murder. Hattie and her furry friends, especially Moose, are on the trail. What looked to be an embezzlement accusation investigation turned into a murder case with detective Bo Becket on hand too. It is a case with numerous suspects but not the clues to make clear who is the guilty party. The Hattie and Moose Cozy Mystery Series just keeps getting better and better. All cozy mystery lovers will enjoy this series.

I've really been enjoying this series! For this third book, Hattie is investigating a murder at a line dancing studio, but a hitch in her giddy-up is that the main suspect is her bestie's ex-boyfriend. I love the main character, I love the setting of Nashville, and I love the mysteries! I also really love the evolving relationship between Hattie and Bo. It's been such a wonderful slow burn!.

Hattie Leiper a private Investigator is once again on an unusual case where murder complicates the issue. Suspense, humour and an edge of the seat finish makes this book captivating from the start. I received this ARC copy via Booksprouts and recommend this book to other readers.

Gracie’s ex had her vexed and she wanted not one bar of him but when he’s caught in an embezzlement thing it’s not a time for letting take the rap and retiring away. So Hattie Leiper has said she’ll hear him out ,listen to what he utters in his defence. Obviously she’s on the fence where the two exes are concerned but Gracie is gracious in her resolve and lets up with her annoyance until it’s solved …not before she’s said her peace of course ,he dod leave her feeling remorse when they split.Hes a champion danced and he stands accused thanks to falsified security camera footage placing him at the scene of the murder at the dance studio. Lots of shouting he may have done but strike him with a poker ? Oh no . But he’s gotta know who’s framing him and why ..Music Row is abuzz with skeptics, but the truth will out as it usually is thanks to the PI Hattie and her beau . Great writing as ever and weaved real clever . There’s a wrong step and guesswork but they’ll make it work out as a team and they’ll end the day on a face full of beams and not have the murder rap upset the rhythm and cadence of the Row . Oh no Hattie’s a pro . So is Greta Sinclair who delights with her prose ,she knows where to direct her characters and wrong foot us readers so we don’t know what the answer to the puzzle is in the end . That’s good solid storytelling my friend .
