This is a dark, sapphic vampire romance full of angst and spice...

Roslyn Night's Creator has just been staked. After centuries of waiting, it's finally her turn to lead her clan. Known as the Crimson Stake, she rules through terror and might. But it's not easy to ascend the throne. She's surrounded by vampires vying for her seat, and they'll stop at nothing to take her down.
But she's the most heartless vampire of them all, and she gives as good as she gets. UntilPaige - and a mysterious prophecy - threaten to turn her entire world upside down.
If you love sapphic vampire romance, you'll devour this dark, spicy story with a masc/femme pairing. Blood as Sweet as Roses is a Fangs and Feuds trilogy spin-off. It can be read as a standalone, but it has major spoilers for Fangs and Feuds and includes many characters and references events from that series.
This book has a morally grey love interest and deals with dark and difficult themes. It includes sexual content and depictions of violence. Full content warnings are available on the author's website and in the front of the book. Please read responsibly.
yeaaaa tried to finish but there’s no shot and not just cause every single character in this book has pale skin (I mean even Twilight had a Black vampire and that shit suuuucked) but also wasn’t buying the connection between Paige and Crimson??? I understood Paige’s attraction to Crimson especially as she began navigating her attraction to women but Crimson just was flat for me and not giving aaaaanything so not for me
P.S. yes part of the reason I gave it less stars is because it’s lack of diversity in our big year of 2025. If there’s a problem, take it up with the whites who won’t read books (or rate books poorly) with Black authors or Black characters cause they can’t relate 😘
Honestly incredible. I was really surprised at how much this book captured my attention. There’s soooo many details in here. The world building is exceptional! I really wanted to learn more, but for the most part, I didn’t feel like they left out anything important…up until maybe the very very end.
I really should give this 4 stars for the ending, but everything before it was just so intriguing! The character development was near-flawless!
I didn’t realize this was actually a spin-off of a trilogy, so I’m excited to start reading those now too!
The relationships in this book could almost no be contained by the pages it was written on. There are multiple relationships that almost have you questioning if you could be replace one of the MCs with yourself. Blood, sex, love, shifters, witches, merfolk…need I say more?
Remi Lebeau knows her vampire and human F/F stories and how to get your heart racing! Enjoy this book with a glass of red blood wine and comfy blanket.
I loved this spin off! Loved that there was no weak characters. Paige was kind and soft but still had a backbone. And Crimson, such an ice queen, melting for her sweet rose. I sure hope Sabine gets her own story!
If you enjoy hot, sapphic vampires who are possessive and morally gray, this book is for you! A beautiful story of love, strength and a determined human to get the vampire of her dreams.
A bit slow for me. But at the same time feel a bit rush. I love the story I d like to have a bit more explanation of the ending. The end feel a bit too rushed for me( but then I love epilogue.
