PRAISE FOR KIMBERLEY ANNE'S MAKE YOU MINE NOVELS
'Blackout is a huge accomplishment for a debut novel. There is a little mystery, romance and not over-the-top but tasteful and well-done romance, a gentle and respectful but incredibly hot male lead, fun and music. Kimberley knocked this book out of the ballpark, and I truly look forward to reading what she writes next! Tegan Chamberlain, Goodreads 5-star review
'Blackout is a book about secrets, lies, family, fear, anxiety and love. Harley and Zach's relationship is hindered by all of the above problems but they fight their way through. The storyline is intense and full of angst and the character development is spot on. Well written and concise, Harley will become a favourite character. I totally enjoyed this book.' Vickie Chaisson, 5-star Goodreads Review
'How I love the cover - so hot and steamy! The novel itself is a perfect read in bed or out. A wonderful blend of romance, passion, mystery and the power of love.' Sue Kimber
'I cannot recommend this steamy romance novel enough!' Tallaya Wood
'Kimberley Anne's first novel Blackout is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed Harley and Zach's romantic journey and can't wait for her next novel.' Cheryl Fraser

Black Lace, book 3 in the Make You Mine Romance series by Kimberley Anne, is a fun mix of small-town charm and big-city drama. It follows Alex (Lex) Black, a young woman making her way in fast-paced Melbourne, who ends up heading back to her hometown for some much-needed safety after some family drama.
The dual perspective is a nice touch, letting us see things from both Lex and Brad Waters, the local lawyer who's definitely got a thing for her. Their chemistry is great, but the obstacles they face—especially Lex's complicated past—keep things interesting.
While the story has lots of engaging moments, it does hit some familiar romance beats. Lex is a well-developed character, and her journey of self discovery.
The writing is easy to follow, which makes it a quick read. There are a few spots where the pacing slows down, but overall, it keeps you turning the pages.
Black Lace is a solid pick for anyone who loves a good romance with a bit of drama. It might not break new ground, but it offers some heartwarming moments that make it worth a read if you're looking for a cozy escape!
Black Lace is the third instalment in, The Acoustic Series. It can be read as a standalone but to get a better understanding it’s best to read them in order.
Alex/Lexi/Lex Black is an exceptionally self-sufficient FMC who excels in her full-time job and various side business ventures, and she's deeply committed to her family while also showing compassion for those struggling.
Brad Waters life had become stagnant, working as a lawyer at his father's law firm and living in a sparse, minimalist apartment that served only as a place to sleep, until he realised something was lacking when he met Alex.
I love how the Black Family dynamic plays out throughout the series, with each member being an independent individual with their own pursuits, yet always willing to put aside their feelings and help when needed.
Music serves as a powerful tool throughout the series, providing characters with a sense of peace when life becomes overwhelming, which is a relatable experience.
Black Lace had me in a *chokehold*. The tension, the spice, the drama — I was living for it 👏
The chemistry between Alex and Brad? Off. The. Charts. Like, how do I get that kind of energy in my life?! 🔥
Kimberley Anne’s writing is so visual it felt like I was watching a movie play out in my head — dark, emotional, and seriously addictive. I only knocked off one star because a few parts that were in the previous book, but honestly? I still devoured it.
If you love angst, tension, and that “touch her and die” energy, Black Lace is your next obsession 😏🖤
Black Lace by Kimberley Anne is the kind of Book 3 every romance series dreams of — deeper, darker, and absolutely packed with emotion. This instalment takes everything we’ve come to love from the Make You Mine series and elevates it even further.
The chemistry? Off the charts. The tension? Deliciously addictive. The character growth? Honestly, some of the best in the series so far.
Kimberley Anne delivers a story that’s beautifully layered — combining heartbreak, healing, passion, and vulnerability in a way that feels completely authentic. You can feel every look, every touch, every moment of conflict and connection. The emotional payoff is huge, and the pacing keeps you flipping pages like your life depends on it.
What stands out most in Black Lace is how the relationships deepen — not just romantically, but emotionally. You really see the characters step into themselves, fight for what they feel, and let down walls they’ve held up for far too long. It’s powerful, moving, and so satisfying to read.
If you loved the first two books, Black Lace will absolutely steal your heart. And if you weren’t already obsessed with this series… you will be after this one. ❤️🔥
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Black Lace by Kimberley Anne is the third book in the Make You Mine Romance series. While it can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone, it carries even more emotional depth if you’ve read the first two. This story masterfully blends small-town charm with big-city drama. We follow Alex (Lex) Black, a determined young woman building her career in Melbourne until family turmoil pulls her back home—and straight into the path of Brad Waters, the local lawyer who’s much more than just a blast from the past. The dual POV adds richness, letting readers experience both sides of their story—the longing, the tension, and the undeniable chemistry that makes this romance so addictive. 💞 Yes, it follows some familiar tropes, but that’s part of its comfort. It’s heartfelt, engaging, and the kind of book you reach for when you need something real and romantic. The pacing dips briefly, but the emotional rewards are well worth it. If you’re craving a romance full of warmth, drama, and second chances, Black Lace is a story that will pull you in and hold on tight. ✨ It’s a destination worth the journey. ✨
An Enjoyable Follow-Up, Though Alex Remains a Mystery
I really liked reading more about Alex and Brad in this book. It was nice to see their story continue and to get a deeper look into their relationship. The chemistry between them is clear, and there’s a gentle, realistic tone in how they navigate their connection.
That said, I did feel that Alex still remains a bit of a mystery to me. There are moments when she withdraws or goes quiet, and while Brad gives her the space she needs, it’s never completely clear what’s really going on beneath the surface. I found myself wanting to understand her thoughts and emotions more.
Even so, it’s a lovely addition to the series heartfelt, engaging, and definitely worth reading if you’ve enjoyed the previous books.
Lex and Brad. What a power couple Fierce, fun and flirty. Some parts felt a bit repetitive knowing what we knew from the previous books however it still adds so many different perspectives. Overall very enjoyable read
