Standing over six feet tall, USA Today bestselling author Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair of a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.

He has written the DEMONSOULED series of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write THE GHOSTS sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the COMPUTER BEGINNER'S GUIDE series of computer books, and numerous other works. His books have sold over one million copies worldwide.

Another excellent book from Moeller. I've read about 60 of his books by now, and I've yet to be disappointed. He continues to prove why he's my favourite writer.

I was a little disappointed when I originally heard that this new series would take place 100 years after the Shield War. I just wasn't ready to say goodbye to Ridmark and company yet. However, this book has changed my mind.

Thankfully, Moeller avoids all mention of Ridmark, and the book is better for it. Leave Andomheim alone for now and open for future series (because there are more than a few threads left to continue Ridmarks tale *cough* The Heptarchy *cough*)

By the Sheild War, Ridmark and his family had become so powerful and had access to so many resources that it was hard to challenge them. Starting afresh with a new character who can't teleport around the world or call upon the entire military of Andomheim was a good choice. It reminds me of the Grey Knight, a smaller scale story with more of an adventure feel.

I dont doubt the scale will grow in future books, but for now, im happy to follow a group of heroes on a journey like the good old days. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I am so exited.

Jonathan Moellet is my favorite writer. I just finished reading the Ghost series and was so happy to find this wonderful story about a Knight waking up and remembers he always kept his promises and hates dark magic. I can't wait for him to find out who put him to sleep and why.

As usual with Jonathan Moeller's books, it was a very good read and difficult to put down. I look forward to reading more about Talembur's adventures whilst trying to tack down who he is and his past.

Will have to admit that this series is starting out really slow which is unusual for a Moeller book and I sure hop that the 2nd books has a lot more action than this one did.
