A century after the bombs fell, the city of Jericho gives us sanctuary from the undead that haunts us outside these walls.

The immune live in luxury, away from the terrors outside.

For carriers like me, our haven is nothing but a brutal wasteland.

I’ve never desired to leave the city, but when my sister vanishes in search of an impossible paradise, my friends and I must brave the wild.

The problem is, we can’t do it alone, and the man willing to help us escape is a prickly outsider with eyes like stone who’s as likely to put me down as he is to leave me behind.

The Ridge Riders left me at the gates of Jericho to be used as a test subject in search of a cure to the undead plague. But these walls aren’t high enough to keep me from returning to my daughter. I’ll even push aside my hesitancy to work with a carrier like Quinten Whitlock if it gets me closer to home.

But Quinten hasn’t faced the savagery I have. He’s not going to make it.

I should leave him behind, but I can’t turn my back on him.

Maybe there’s a better way to live than fighting.

Maybe he’s the only one who can show it to me.

She currently lives in Knoxville, Tennessee to experience seasons and be closer to the mountains.
