This book is a game changer in personal growth and self understanding. Genny Rumancik synthesizes many different methods including Internal Family Systems and Somatic therapy into a readable and relatable first book. With stories and vignettes, she helps the reader understand what self-awareness actually is and how it can improve interpersonal relationships and social experiences. I came away with clear strategies for practicing new insights and strengthening current relationships. It’s one of the few books I’ve read with practice components to move beyond simply understanding into proficiency.

I really enjoyed The Wisdom of Feeling. It’s a great reminder of how important it is to understand our emotions and take the time to listen to what they’re telling us. I liked how the book encourages us to look at our feelings with more curiosity and less judgment, and how this can help us better understand ourselves and our relationships. It’s a thoughtful read with some really valuable takeaways that you can apply to everyday life. Definitely worth reading if you’re interested in personal growth and understanding yourself a little better!

I really liked the analysis and explanation of different patterns of emotional behaviour. Also, this was one of the only books I read that actually explained how to sit with your emotions and didn't just say "sit with them".
