The four of us. Under one roof. It’s going to be one hot summer.
Summer Pham has never been shy about going for what she wants. She’s just moved into a cute apartment and fulfilled her dream of opening her very own Vietnamese bakery. Starlight Grove has just found its new lunch obsession, and her friends and family are cheering her on every step of the way.
Everything is perfect . . . as long as you ignore the fancy new patisserie next door and the water pipe that’s just burst and flooded her building. Faced with the prospect of no home and no bakery, a town meeting offers a lifeline. An offer to work and live alongside the Beaufort brothers, who are only in town for the summer.
Lucien, a high-powered executive and eldest alpha brother.
Mercer, the grumpy beta pastry chef she now has to share a kitchen with.
And Jae, her tattooed alpha childhood crush all grown up.
It’s the first time the brothers have been together since the breakdown of their parents’ pack. With temperatures soaring and chemistry sizzling with the omega in their home, it doesn’t take much for the temporary living situation to turn into a friends-with-benefits arrangement.
But hazy summer days are fleeting and when tragedy strikes, Summer may need what they cannot give her—a pack.
A Pack for Summer is a standalone MFMM why choose small town romance. It is part of the Cozyverse shared universe, bringing you cozy omegaverse full of heart, heat and humor.
Eliana Lee writes character-driven romance with diverse casts and too many MMCs. After being repeatedly betrayed by love triangles, she now needs her heroines to have it all. She was born in Melbourne, Australia to immigrant parents and firmly believes food is a love language.
Ugh I just loved these characters so much. Summer was so bold and beautiful and sassy and I wanted to be her and be with her. Jae was adorable and awkward and I wanted to wrap him up and protect him from all harm. Mercer was grumpy and emotionally constipated, but deeply cared about his brothers and was passionate about his work. Lucien was stuck in a pattern of parentification from his youth and was tightly wound and self sacrificing to a fault. All of these characters were complex and beautiful. They came together in a friends with benefits scenario, but grew to trust and rely on one another as more. They each pushed each other out of comfort zones and into places where they could grow and challenge their assumptions about life and relationships.
Spice: 5/5
Triggers: sexual harassment, designation bias and bullying, internalized designation bias, parent abandonment, parent death (past), hospitalization of side character for chest pain, racism micro aggressions, parentification, struggles with ESL literacy,
Thank you Putnam and the author Eliana for sending me the ARC.
As expected, Eliana Lee delivered a great book yet again. I’m not surprised I’ve enjoyed it a lot, I knew the writing would be amazing, and the story would have a nice flow.
I really loved the main characters. Summer was such a wonderful soul, I loved how sexually free she was, she knew what she wanted, and she was extremely aware of herself. She also had some great sense of humour, and the things she said sometimes, made me laugh so much. As always, I had to pick favourites when it comes to MMCs 🤭 And while Lucien became my fave since almost the beginning of the book, Mercer ended up being placed pretty close to him. I didn’t feel a lot of connection to Jae, he was just there tbh, and even though I liked him of course, he didn’t make me feel any greater feelings.
The story was going nice as I’ve already mentioned, but it had some moments when it felt too cheesy to my liking. The ending felt a bit rushed, too. In those last few chapters there was a bit too much skipping in order to end the story. I wish there was also an epilogue with all the MCs some time into their future, but I know we’ll get that in the bonus content from Eliana.
safety: *spoilers* -no real OWD (there’s a woman called Alyssa who works with Jae, she’s an alpha too and she wants Jae, she makes him feel uncomfortable too, when Jae and Summer attend a party, she’s there and she makes Summer feel unworthy and puts her down, Summer ends up kicking her ass but that scene left bad aftertaste for me, she never appears again, just this one time) -no real OMD (two men, one made her uncomfortable when she visited a farm with Mercer, and the other a colleague of Lucien at the gala, both situations lead to jealousy and the MMCs deal with those guys) -everyone’s experienced, Summer had a pack in college, she says it’s been too long since she got laid (not specified how long lol), no info on the guys, we just know that they have never been with an omega in heat, they have also never shared anyone before Summer -no cheating, no 3rd act breakup, just a short separation (a few hours tops) -HFN (they did the mating ritual, they’re a pack now)
The fourth and final installment of the Cosyverse universe, whychoose omegaverse series. I have enjoyed every book in the series and I am so sad that it is ending.
Summer has her own Vietnamese Bakery, when a competing bakery moves in next door. With the rude owner who asks her to stop singing in the morning. But when her bakery and apartment get flooded, she ends up having to move in with him and his brothers which lead to friends with benefits situation.
Summer is so headstrong, and tries to handle everything herself and never wants to ask for help. This really resonates with me because I am exactly the same way, and love the way this story is told. This series is a must read if you love omegaverse!
“Wherever your feet land, know that I’m right beside you.”
Another perfect & cozy omegaverse from Eliana Lee! Summer’s story made for such a great read. She had a dream of opening a bakery that focused on comfort food from her childhood and Vietnamese culture and she did it! The town adored her and her family so much. It warmed my whole heart that they had a place where they were accepted and loved so throughly.
“Anything worth having demands that we fight for it. Even against our own self-doubt.”
All of the guys were great. In true why choose fashion, I don’t want to pick a favorite, BUT if I absolutely had to, it would be Jae! I just LOVE a childhood friends to lovers story. His description was also just adorable!
“Your mess matches mine.” I told him tenderly. “Unearthing it hurts but now I can love all of it. I can love all of you, exactly as you are.”
The guys had drifted apart from their chaotic and heartbreaking childhood, but Starlight Grove brought them back together. The Beaufort house was known to be cursed but it definitely seemed to work its magic of Summer and her men.
“Anytime, anywhere, any way we wanted you, that’s what you told Mercer, right?”
This friend’s with benefits romance POPPED OFF, y’all. This group was insatiable and I loved every second of it. Summer is a woman that knows what she wants and went for it. Lucien resisted the pull but he was just as down bad as his brothers!
“Be a good girl and let me use your mouth.”
I am allllll in my feels over this series being completed. Eliana Lee and Emilia Emerson really cultivated such a cozy little chaotic and quirky town and I never want to see it end! I am keeping my fingers crossed that Mayor Felix has more up his sleeves!
“Ruin me, Jae.” 🤭❤️🔥
Tropes: ❤️🔥Why Choose 🪢 Omegaverse 🤭 Childhood Crushes 🥐 Rival Bakers 🏡 Forced Proximity 💋 Roommates to Lovers 🥵 Good Boy 🐈 Meddling Cat Mayor
I was lucky enough to get an advance copy and I'm so so grateful I did, because let me start with saying: I loved this book.
If I wasn't a fan of Eliana before I'm sure as hell am know, I truly enjoyed this, there was just enough drama, it was cozy and nice, the perfect book to just relax and enjoy, plus it doesn't hurt that the writing is on point and there's lots of spice.
Can totally be read as standalone and got me out of reading slum, so if you like cats, baking, forced proximity or just romance in general, this is for you.
Please miss Lee, don't ever stop writing because I truly have loved and devoured everything you've published so far, this is hands down no questions asks 10/10 for me.
This was a fun and spicy read. Unfortunately, it needed to be edited and revised more. The story line felt very choppy and the plot didn’t flow well. It felt very surface level which caused me to feel disconnected and confused with the storyline. I overall still enjoyed the story, but I think it needs more work to be at its full potential.
A Pack for Summer, by Eliana Lee, is the fourth and final installment of the Cosyverse series. This standalone features FMC Summer Pham, an omega who owns and operates her bakery “Suns Out Bánhs Out” and is as adorable a person as you’d guess based on the name of her business alone. She is sunshine, rainbows, and spunkiness, but with a vulnerability that felt endearing and had me wanting to protect her from any threat to her happiness. Her male love interests are an eclectic mix that consists of a tattooed songwriter, an executive, and a French pastry chef.
One thing that shines throughout the book is Summer’s Vietnamese culture. This is handled with depth, meaningfulness, and respect.
This story includes themes: why choose, forced proximity, friends-with-benefits, grumpy/sunshine, Asian female lead, small town romance.
I was so excited to get this as an ARC and it did not disappoint! It was so good. I loved how completely oblivious they all were at the start. It made the buildup even better! The banter and chaotic antics had me laughing, and Felix is iconic as always 😂
The spice was delicious 🔥 truly chef’s kiss 🤌🏻 Such a fun read!
I can’t put into words how much this book and this series as a whole have meant to me.
A pack for summer follows our last friend in our group of four, summer! She’s just opened a bakery and the last thing on her mind is finding a pack. But then she runs into her childhood crush, and his pack brother moves into the competing bakery next door, and their last pack brother is a delicious alpha.
This book has: - mental health rep - found family - childhood trauma - immigrant family rep - why choose - omegaverse - and so much more!!
One of my fav moments was seeing Summer work through her feelings with her parents and having to work harder on translating and taking care of them. It was beautifully done. I also just love how great these omegaverse are, great romance, very spicy, and so much love. Cozyverse is the perfect name. I thought this one had its unique storyline of it being a casual thing turning serious and not sure how to balance love vs careers. I also loved the conversation around scent matching / fate / choice.
Summer finally found her pack! The last of our four FMCs to be all packed up and it is well worth the wait. Who doesn't love a second chance romance and a redemption of a broken curse? When we meet Summer, she's three months into the opening of her brand new bakery - when in comes a rival bakery. Not only that, but the owners are the from the Beaufort pack - the three heirs to the cursed Beaufort home. Jae is the sexy musician who Summer connected with in high school, Mercer is his pack brother and beta boulanger, and Lucien is the stoic older brother just trying to keep everyone together. They say they're only there for the summer, until they get their childhood home set for sale. But the question remains, will they be able to heal enough to form the pack that Summer deserves? This final installment of this series was SO GOOD and the perfect amount of cozy and spicy.
i absolutely love this series and i was so excited to get my fingers on this copy and i was satisfied but not blown away. the aapi rep in this one was so so fantastic and the individual struggles each of the boys had felt authentic and tender!
but i think pacing/flow lacked something. loved eliana lee’s spicy scenes but this time they felt overabundant? at least, maybe it took away from the plot a bit? either way, if you want so much spice with mild, low stakes plot, this is the one for you!
4.75🌟! This was amazing. Perfect amount of coziness, humor, emotion, angst and steam. It also has an abundance of cuteness. Summer and her guys— Jae, Mercer and Lucien were fantastic. I had great time with them. In fact I’m in love with the whole town. This will be one of my whole time favorite cozy and comfort series. I loved the way they all came together and complimented each other. As an Asian I related so much with the characters, Felix is hands down the best Mayor ever! I love love his antics and matchmaking ways. Starlight Grove will always have a special place in my heart. I hope they write more stories in this series.
Recommended. I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.
Yet another two nights staying up until 2 am reading these books because they are just that good!!! This was one of my favorite in the series because the emotion was just so raw and real. I have fallen in love with Starlight Grove and all of the characters so much that it is going to be hard to say goodbye. Waiting for each release of this series has been something I’ve looked forward to and now I’m so sad it’s over!! I can’t wait to see what is next for both Eliana and Emilie. 5/5 read as always and congratulations on being traditionally published!!! SOOOO deserved for my omegaverse favorite series 💘💘💘
A Pack for Summer is the last book of the Cozyverse series—four interconnected standalones about a group of friends living in their cozy small town who eventually find their packs. I’m not gonna lie—I was originally disappointed that Ezra, who we are introduced to in the previous book, was NOT featured as a main character in this one. What a missed opportunity, I thought. That being said, I was originally hesitant about the four mmcs presented here, but wow did they all grow on me.
I LOVED Summer and how confident she was in herself, and I LOVED her guys. While this book is still low angst like its predecessors, this one was my favorite and a big part of that is due to the tangible and believable conflict presented between the characters. While the guys originally grew up in Starlight Grove together as a pack, they moved away due to tragedy and eventually went their separate ways. Thus, we are presented with something I’ve never seen before in an omegaverse book: a friends with benefits situation, main characters who do not want to be in a pack at all, and characters who stand on their own. This was so creatively done, and I really enjoyed this and how the characters eventually came together by the end of the book.
Another thing I loved about this book was the representation!!!! Summer is the daughter of Vietnamese immigrants. Her parents own a Chinese restaurant, while Summer has just opened her own bakery selling Vietnamese pastries and sandwiches. Jae is Korean, and I believe Lucien is half (but don’t quote me on that). Some things felt familiar to my own experience of being Asian such as kids in elementary school asking about the food you brought from home. I also enjoyed learning about Summer’s experience as a daughter of immigrants and how she’s had to translate for her parents over the years, as I know this is something common that many children of immigrants experience as well.
Overall, a sweet and super spicy read. I flew through this one. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an arc
Thank you so much to Putnam Books and Eliana Lee for this NetGalley eARC!! I had the BEST time reading A Pack for Summer! There are so many wonderful things woven into this book!
I absolutely adored Summer, our FMC. She is so funny, witty, thoughtful, sassy, caring— I could go on and on here. You get the picture though, we love her in this house. The amount of times I laughed while reading because of her sense of humor…let’s just say I have a lot of things highlighted lol lol. Also- I loved that we got to read & learn about Vietnamese culture as well as some of the challenges that folks can experience while trying to be a translator for their parent in a medical setting. The medical sociologist part of me is obviously a huge nerd about this as it highlights the complexity of navigating healthcare in a social sense coupled with medical jargon, etc.
Jae, Mercer, and Lucien our MMCs…book besties prepare yourselves. I also loved how different everyone’s personalities were, but when all together it was like connecting pieces of a puzzle. Each of them are also quite funny and I loved how seamless this was as a reader. They’ve also got some pretty intense family things they are working through and I’m glad we get to see this growth throughout the story.
There were so many swoon-worthy moments happening in this book. This book is SPICYYY. The use of an icing piping technique with Mercer? The club with Jae’s hand over Summer’s mouth? In Lucien’s office? I was having the time of my life with not only the steamy growth of their relationships, but also quiet moments of intimacy. I definitely need a physical copy of this book on my shelves and I can’t wait to finish making my way through this series!
The final book for Starlight Grove definitely continued the vibe of the series. This book did lack some of the plot from the previous novel - being even more low stakes.
Summer is running her small town bakery when friends from her past reenter her life. A childhood crush, a rival baker , and a work obsessed man round out the love interests making for a more fun less substance read.
It did feel like some of the story felt like it jumped around to try to force conflict , especially by the end. I do with there was a bit more communication before the final few chapters from the love interests with each other as well as will Summer. The cultural representation definitely made for a good variety given the plot did lack at times.
Overall , great vibes. A fun read to wrap up the series!
Am I surprised that Eliana Lee nailed this cozyverse book? Absolutely not! Reverse harem really lends itself to the (re)found family trope, and beautiful explorations of love, and this is something that Lee does with a lot of talent. The characters are absolutely adorable and endearing, the set up perfect to remain cozy and low stakes without being too boring. I took one star off because the book did fill just slightly too long for me, but that’s subjective.
What to expect: - Omegaverse - Why Choose MFMM - Quirky Small Town - Just for the Summer - Roommates - Asian Culture - Free Use + Super Spicy
This is Book 4 and the final book in an interconnected series.
Ok, what an incredible way to say farewell to Starlight Cove! This book had it all - made me giggle, gave me butterflies, brought SO MUCH heat, and was packed full of emotion and heart. Summer is so sweet and sassy and unafraid to ask for what she wants… even if it's only for the summer. I loved reading her perspective as the daughter of immigrants and the cultural challenges - as well as joy - that it entails. I also totally ate up the varying dynamics that Summer had with each of her guys and how they all brought out different sides of her.
This one was just as adorably cozy as the rest. This is one of my favorite settings I’ve ever read and I’m so sad this is the last book we get because I LOVE Starlight Grove! Small town with the kookiest characters PLUS omegaverse? Ugh, I never want to leave. Summer and her guys are just as swoon worthy as the rest and I will forever recommend this book/series.
Summer finally opened her bakery that she worked really hard on making happen only for a direct competition to open right next to her. She's a bit annoyed but determined to succeed! Then her childhood friend suddenly appeared who's packed up with the grumpy patisserie owner next-door. It's all good until a water pipe broke and flooded her entire bakery AND the apartment she lives in above it.
What's a girl to do when her livelihood and home just went up in flames (or in this case, just went down in the flooding?!). Well, you share business space with your competitor next door and move in with his pack in their cursed mansion!
The tension at the forced proximity? PERFECTION. The banter? Sassy. The spicy spice at her offer of free-use with no strings attached? EXPLOSIVE.
I can't even tell you the number of times I had to pause just to giggle and kicked my feet up as I blushed like a loon is because omygaaaaahhh this is amazing in every way.
Summer is freaking awesome and I love her outlook in life! She is a total baddie and everyone sees her as pretty infallible, but she's actually quite sensitive and vulnerable inside. She just won't ever show people she's hurting.
The three MMCs, one beta and two alphas, are pretty great except for times where they were such dum guys. Good thing, the entire town could literally give them a bonk in their lil heads so they could get it together!
As a pack and with Summer, they are all so fun! Definitely my favorite dynamic in this series. I wanna reread this over and overrrr.
Oh and thank you to Putnam Books for the advanced copy. My review and thoughts are all mine.
"Anything worth having demands that we fight for it. Even against our own self-doubt."
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶🌶
What you'll find in this book: • MFMM Why Choose Omgeaverse • Small Town with Cat Mayor • Accidental Courtship • Banter as Foreplay • Friends with Benefits • Vietnamese Immigrant Family Rep • Forced Proximity • Spicy Romcom • Freeuse • Switch Omega/Alpha
Ahhhhhh I can't believe that this series is over! Emilia and Eliana have created the most adorable and cosy coastal small town filled with characters that you just can't help but fall in love with. Despite each story in this series focusing on a different member of the omega friendship group, the previous characters that we meet and fall in love with never feel far away and help to shape the story of characters that come after them. One standout aspect of this book, and the others books in that series for a matter of fact is how much goes into creating these characters and how real they feel; how their emotions make my heart ache so deeply while also making it leap for joy. Honestly, I cannot recommend this series enough for so many reasons, packed with spice and guaranteed happily ever afters, these books ensure we get love stories that are fought for but ever so satisfying.
Summer has the weight of the world on her shoulders but she couldn't be happier dragging herself out of bed early and starting the day in her new bakery. With her priorities firmly on her future the last thing on her mind is finding herself a pack, but when a pipe bursts in her apartment she has no choice but to accept the help of the three brothers that she thought were far in her rear view mirror but are now back in town. Summer is not afraid to go after what she wants, and dang girl do I respect that. Unfortunately though feelings don't work that way and what starts off as a friends with benefits arrangement quickly starts to tumble towards more treacherous territory. I find Summer so relatable, not in the general sense, but in the little things she loves, animal crossing and colourful cat plushies. Unapologetically herself, cherishing her family and her heritage and wanting to share what used to make her feel so different but makes her so special with the town that is so close to her heart.
Lucien, Mercer and Jae are so different in a way that balances the group perfectly. Lucien is the calm brother, the mediator, firmly a workaholic he doesn't know how to take a break if it hit him in the face. Mercer pushes Summer's buttons in the best way, providing her with a sparring partner that is just as passionate about baking as she is. Someone that knows how important it is to not compromise on your dreams. Jae is Summer's childhood sweetheart, the optimist and the ray of sunshine. We get to explore how each of the men in Summer's life as they interact with her and how they individually provide her with different things that as a whole give her everything she needs. Oh my gosh, don't even get me started on the spicy goodness in this book. Once the characters get the green light they can't keep their hands off of one another. With searing moments alongside sweet and tender ones, each and every one of these helps bring the characters closer together in a way that feels so important. We get to read as these characters come to realisation that despite having very different priorities when they arrive in Starlight Grove, they quickly find something that they are willing to give up everything for even if they don't know it in the beginning.
Starlight Grove is somewhere I know I could keep revisiting in books time and time again. The town is quirky and completely unique, with its endless events calendar and mayor that is a meddlesome cat that knows best and steals baked goods for the good of himself and the relationships of those around him. In every single book there is another aspect of Starlight Grove that we get to explore, another event that brings the community together and honestly, I just can't get enough. Another part of this series that I love is the close knit community, everyone is up in everyone else's business in the best way. Each book in the series introduces us to new residents that you are bound to fall in love with, in this instance it is Summer's family and they are so adorable, the core part of who Summer is and who shaped her into the woman she has become. The pacing of this book was perfect, with something always going on this book keeps you engaged and is consistently enjoyable. I couldn't tear my attention away, I ended up reading this book in one sitting and as much as I would have liked to savour it, I regret nothing.
I wholeheartedly recommend this series to anyone who loves small town romance, because if someone gave me a one way ticket to this magical small town I am taking it.
Thank you so much to the publisher for sending me an e-ARC for me to review early.

5 ⭐️ ARC • I think this one is my favorite in the series & I am SO SAD it is the last in the Cozyverse series, I never wanted this to end. Apologies for this incredibly long review that is coming, I broke out the keyboard for this because I had so many thoughts.
Summer was the one that I saw myself in the most — her inner monologue, how she approached her life, how closely she held her family, her independence, her unapologetic personality (& how hard-won it was). I love her so much — some of her text messages/statements in past books/this one are ones that I have definitely sent myself to friends. The food as a love language was like a punch — the cutting up fruit, gifted meals in takeout containers, showing love by showing up with supplies, it was all so familiar.
Jae, Lucien, and Mercer all broke my heart — their backstory and the broken pack they came from had left a permanent scar on all of them, and the underlying story of them reconnecting and coming back together was so sweet. It was a great parallel to Summer’s background — with how fiercely she loves & cherishes her family, she was the perfect match to see just how sacred this healing was for them.
Jae, the adorably awkward childhood crush who got HOT, their connection via baked goods & being each other’s comfort! Lucien, poor Lucien, the eldest child who truly just wants to protect his siblings & take on the bulk of the burden — I really liked how this played into his dynamic with Summer & led to the really hot scenes that might have been in conflict with the stereotypes of their designations. Mercer — I appreciated that we once again got the reality of how designations/stereotypes would play in this world. I loved his little connection with James, the friendships developing between the men of the packs.
The smutty scenes were HOT. The dynamics were so fun, the FWB-turned-serious-fast, and all the fun scenes they dabbled in. It fit so much with their personalities — I did appreciate that the third-act issue was not a surprise (it was literally the underlying issue throughout the entire book) & it was resolved quickly and sweetly. The three of them showing up when Summer really needed them the most, and not just for her, but for her entire family.
I think the only thing I would have changed was having the boys (& Summer) get a chance to really confront the boys’ mother and the damage she left behind, but I also appreciate the reality of it — sometimes you don’t get closure from the person who hurt you the most, and you have to find it yourself. And breaking familial curses!! They did it!! (with Felix’s help)
Once again, I love this little town and the friendships between the omega girls — I also appreciated that there was some reality to how the dynamics changed when Summer was the last one without a pack, but the girls still showed up constantly and lovingly for her (and their packs, too!). The town showing up for Summer & her family, it healed something in me — especially for Summer, who had felt the weight of being “different” too, it made me emo as heck.
Felix, my absolute king — I was cackling at the last chapter. You little furry mastermind. I love Felix and how he really is the catalyst for all these books, in such a chaotic cat way (loving his people and making sure they are taken care of).
I cannot wait to have a physical copy of this book — I told myself I was going to wait to read this ARC but I have no self-control. Thank you so much NetGalley & Putnam for this eARC — I love this series so much, I am definitely going to come back and reread the series over and over.
We're back in Starlight Grove with sweet, cozy vibes and the best matchmaking cat. Of course, I have to start my review with a compliment to the setting and overall vibe Cozyverse has. A Pack for Summer didn't disappoint and gave me all of the cozy, swoony feelings I was hoping for. If you're looking for the perfect palate cleanser in between heavier reads, this will be right up your alley. It has low angst and cute MMC's who fall over themselves for the pretty omega baker.😍
➕ - Felix is such a genius addition to these books. He truly is the fluff and witty humor in the midst of the romance.😆 He's one of the best animal companions I've ever read, and I hope to see more of him in the future. His shenanigans are a highlight every time I pick up one of these books lol. How a small creature could have so much sass in his little body is beyond me, but we love him.🥰 - The Asian representation is phenomenal, and every time I read one of Eliana's books, I always learn something new (plus the amazing new snacks to try - we're still very much obsessed with milk candies in my household!) I also appreciate the Latino representation, as a Latina myself, it makes me feel included and seen. I'm all for inclusive authors, and I will never hesitate to grab a book from Eliana.🖤 - Our MMC's were the best. We have: Jae, our musician and youngest brother. Lucien, our corporate, eldest brother. And Mercer, our pastry chef and entrepreneur, middle brother. The sweetness they brought into Summer's life was exactly what she needed. All perfect in their own way, and each had to work through their own insecurities, but the payoff was worth the journey. Summer won the jackpot with these guys, even when she believed they were better off. They also won with our sweet FMC. She constantly matched their crazy, and I honestly loved when she would become unfiltered haha! The MMC's backstories tugged at my heartstrings, including their Appa and Papa. 😢 - While we get the romance and the spice, we also get the funny moments. The banter throughout the book is definitely the cherry on top. Such a great read. ➖ - The only negative to mention is that some of the text messages ran incorrectly. When it stated X person was texting, it was actually Y person (it would be written on the right side where the POV person would be messaging, but it wasn't the POV person talking). They were also hard to read because of the way the boxes were. I had to pull them up through my phone to see them better. I'm sure they'll run more smoothly once released, but I wanted to make a note of this just in case.🫶🏼
Spice 🌶️ The spice is well written, and there's plenty of it that you don't feel left wanting. I'd say it's somewhere between 3.5 - 4 spice. Don't let the couple of closed door scenes in the first part of the book deter you, there's a lot of spice throughout. 🥵

A huge thank you to NetGalley and G.P. Putnam's Sons & Elianna for giving me the opportunity to ARC read A Pack for Summer in exchange for an honest review. ✨
Review of Pack for Summer I am genuinely not okay that the Cozyverse is over 😭 because this series has become peak comfort read energy for me—and somehow Pack for Summer ended up being my FAVORITE.
Like… excuse me???
✨ What you’re getting: • MFMM why choose omegaverse • Small town with a meddling cat mayor 🐱 • Friends with benefits → something deeper • Accidental courtship • Banter as foreplay (elite) • Forced proximity • Switch omega/alpha dynamics • Vietnamese immigrant family rep 💛 • Cozy + spicy romcom vibe😏❤️
This series follows a tight-knit group of omega friends in the coziest small coastal town (Starlight Grove), and each book builds on the last in a way that makes the world feel SO alive. Even when the focus shifts, past characters are always there—you never really leave them.
And this one?? It felt like the perfect send-off. Going in, I’ll be honest—I was LOWKEY disappointed Ezra wasn’t a main character (I said what I said 😭). And I was unsure about this group dynamic at first…
…but wow. They completely won me over.
Summer is EVERYTHING.
She’s confident, independent, and fully focused on building her dream—running her bakery and supporting her family. She doesn’t want a pack. She’s not looking for one.
And then life throws chaos at her when a pipe bursts in her apartment… forcing her into close proximity with three men from her past—a former pack who left town after tragedy and are now suddenly back.
What starts as casual? Safe? Just physical?
Yeah… that spirals REAL fast. And what makes this so addictive is that this isn’t your typical omegaverse setup: These characters: • Don’t want a pack • Have history and emotional baggage • Try to keep things simple (lol)
So you get this tension-filled, messy, real progression from friends with benefits to something deeper—and it actually feels earned. The MEN though 👀 • Lucien = calm, controlled, workaholic, the glue • Mercer = tension, fire, pushes her in the best way 🔥 • Jae = childhood sweetheart, sunshine, HEART
Individually, they bring different pieces of what Summer needs—and together?? It just works. The representation in this book meant so much.
Summer being the daughter of Vietnamese immigrants, helping her family, translating, navigating identity—it felt so authentic. Even the small moments (like childhood food experiences) hit in such a real way. Her family is such a core part of who she is, and you feel that on every page. And can we talk about Starlight Grove???
This town is EVERYTHING: 🏡 cozy 🎉 constant events 🐱 chaotic cat mayor running everyone’s business
The sense of community?? Unmatched. Everyone is in everyone’s life in the best way, and every book adds more people to love. ALSO, When this book gets spicy???
IT. DOES. NOT. HOLD. BACK. 🌶️
But it balances it so well with emotional depth, softness, and growth. The intimate moments actually mean something, and you feel the relationships building through them. The pacing?? Perfect. The tension?? Addictive. The emotional payoff?? SO satisfying.
If you love: ✨ small-town romance 💛 found family 🔥 spice with substance 👀 messy, tension-filled dynamics 🏡 cozy worlds you never want to leave

Because if someone handed me a one-way ticket to Starlight Grove???

I love everything Eliana Lee writes and this was no exception. Summer and her pack were so great and the small town, coastal setting were reminiscent of my own summers. Summer owns a Vietnamese bakery in Starlight Grove, where she grew up and where her family and friends all live. She has only recently opened it when she finds out there's a new pastry shop moving in next door. To her dismay, the owner of the shop is the brother of her childhood friend. Jae, Mercer, and Lucien are brothers, but they've been apart from each other since their parents' pack imploded when the omega mother left with one member. The brothers have come back to Starlight Grove for the summer to renovate and sell their parents' old house and for beta Mercer to open up the next branch of his pastry shop. Jae, an alpha and popular musician, was friends with Summer, and he is excited to see her again. When Summer's bakery and apartment flood, she ends up living with Jae, Mercer, and Lucien in their house. Feeling the chemistry between her and each brother, she proposes a summer fling to them. However, feelings start to emerge for all of them, despite knowing that their relationship won't last, as all three men are set to leave after summer ends.
Summer was a go-getter and confident in herself. She had great chemistry with each MMC. Jae was the fun and lighthearted rockstar, complete with piercings and tattoos. Mercer was the baker, who was a little grumpy but beneath the surface, insecure about being the only beta. Lucien was the caretaker for the others, the eldest and working himself to the bone in his finance job. The course of the novel was them having their fling, feelings developing, more steaminess, talking about their families and issues, then coming together. This is a cozy romance, so it was low angst, but still very developed and dimensional in terms of the brothers reuniting and moving forward from their broken family. Summer also went through some development with finding the confidence to keep her bakery and learning how supported she was. This book did drag ever so slightly, and I think some of the scenes could have been cut, especially repetitive steamy scenes that didn't move the plot forward. I did appreciate the thoroughness of seeing the entire summer play out, but I don't think it was quite necessary. Summer had a great group of friends and family. The small town had many eccentric characters, including Felix the cat. It might be too silly for some readers, how humanized he was, but I thought it was cute. This was an omegaverse romance, but the book didn't focus on that aspect as much. We see her heat, there's a scene where Lucien is in rut, and then at the very end there's the bond marking. But it felt very contemporary romance, very lighthearted, small town, summer romance.
So glad to be back in Starlight Grove one last time! The Cozyverse has been one of my favorite Omegaverse series to date and I’m not ready for it to be over!
I absolutely loved this book and think it may be my new fav in the series! Summer, the Vietnamese baker FMC, is sassy, witty, caring and beloved in the community. I connected with her character more than the other Fmc’s in the series! I loved how independent she was and also how she knew what she wanted sexually and had no issues going for it. She was unapologetic and fun! The pack: Jae the tattooed songwriter, Mercer the French pasty chef, and Lucien the overworked businessman are back in town to fix up their old home, the cursed Beaufort house to sell. Mercer also opened his new patisserie right next to Summers Suns Out Bahns Out bakery! Jae and Summer have a history together from school before they left 11 years prior after their pack broke up due to their mom leaving with another alpha. The guys are like brothers but after the fall out each went their own way and barely connected. This sets up the story perfectly with how they all overcome hardships and deep seated trauma regarding packs and abandonment. Lucien is overworked and very protective of the guys. He’s the oldest and stepped up in many ways acting as the responsible parent. Summer and the guys end up in a forced proximity, friends with benefits situation for most of the book and it was fun, flirty and filthy! Plenty of banter, k!nky spice and cozy feels! I ate it up! Their chemistry was hot! Mercer being a beta had some vulnerable moments and seeing Summer be his rock was so beautiful. Their banter throughout the book was hilarious! I love when a couple can go toe to toe with each other! It also made their chemistry even hotter!
The cultural representation throughout the book was done so well. I love learning new dishes and snacks and how different cultures and families interact! I love the side characters and girl gang! It truly makes you feel like your part of the town! I’m sad to see this series coming to an end as I’ve enjoyed these characters and don’t want to say goodbye! If you love cozy and spicy Omegaverse reads then this one won’t disappoint you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ What to Expect: Small Town Romance Omegaverse (MFMM) Friends with Benefits Forced Proximity Vietnamese Baker FMC Tattooed & Pierced Songwriter Alpha French Pastry Chef Beta Finance Businessman Alpha Grumpy x Sunshine Immigration Family Rep Switch Omega/Alpha Banter as foreplay Fr€€ Use Spicy RomCom
