Make every shot count

After dealing with gangsters, terrorists, and crooked cops, Erin O’Reilly isn’t too worried about her latest enemy. Would-be mobster Richard O’Malley is doing his best to fill his dad’s shoes, but he’ll never be anything but a small-caliber hoodlum. However, even a tiny bullet can be lethal, and Erin knows Richie wants to kill her, so she’s keeping a close eye on him.

But the surveillance goes horribly wrong. An assassin guns down Richie’s family in broad daylight with a gun belonging to Erin. Multiple witnesses identify Erin as the killer. Instead of investigating the crime, she is now the prime suspect.

Suspended from duty, stripped of her authority, Erin knows she’s the target of a sadistic scheme. As she and her faithful K-9 Rolf scramble behind the scenes to disarm their mysterious enemy, she must fight not only killers but the NYPD itself. Revenge and loyalty collide in a final showdown pitting an unlikely alliance of rogue cops and reformed criminals against a brilliant and deadly opponent.

Ugh I am so sad to see this group of characters and their story come to an end! Loved the way they all came together as loyal partners, friends, mentors, coworkers, and enemies. I enjoyed Erin's character so much that in another life I would want to be her! This book took off from the very start and had me tied in knots and emotional! Very well done! I look forward to the next new series.

Rolf

I started this series because I liked the premise of a K-9 and his handler, police work in NYC..

I purchased and read all 30 books in this series. The plots, the police work, Rolf (my hero) all insured I would continue this series go the end.

The storylines were excellent.... thank you so much. If the series continued, I would continue to enjoy how well you developed your plots.

I was a little sceptical about whether to keep reading this series after the first two books. But I'm glad I continued. I thought the remainder of the series was really good. Great character development. Fast moving and intense action. I would like to see this series continue.

It is sad to say farewell to Erin, but 30 stories are enough to tell her story. Best, CMac

Dang! From the beginning to the end!

Hanging on the chairs arm, holding my breath I couldn't put the book down! Sad to see some of the characters are no more but waiting to see the new ones. Please hurry Mr. Henry, you can't stop here! Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!!! Yes I know you need time off with your family. But don't take to long to get the next sequel out, I am to old to hold my breath that long!!!

what a great read!

Thru all the ups and downs, Erin O’Reilly continues to come back, stronger and wiser. If this is the end of Erin and Carlisle and Vic and Zofia, and all the rest from the 8Ball and Major Crimes, I say what a ride!
